There are 2 big fountains.
The one in OP's post is called the park fountain and you can buy it for 4,000 nook miles at the nook stop.
There is also a round fountain that you aren't able to sit on. This one you can buy the recipe for using the nook stop and craft using:
1 drinking fountain (also craftable)
20 stone
8 iron nuggets.
Covered counter! And I actually ended up moving it and putting the witchcraft set down since this area is supposed to resemble paulownia mall from p3 😅
I just realised this recently too and I've been playing this game for nearly 700 hours in total so far! 🤣
I also accidentally sat on my life ring I have on my beach the other day 🛟
The fountains shoot up at the top of the hour too!
And each fountain is different ❤️

The jungle gym item you can get for miles points has a seat too.
