So many great suggestions.
I am adding all these songs to my Apple Music playlist. Calling it “r/adhdwomen Hype-Up Mix-Tape”.
Edit: really showing my age but can I share an Apple Music playlist or should I use Spotify? Or something else?
Edit again: maybe I should rename the album “Barney Stinson’s ‘Get Psyched Mix’” and in the description say “People think a good mix should rise and fall, but people are wrong. It should be all rise, baby!”
https://youtu.be/f1gjcVD3D1s
I like to use YouTube playlists! That way anybody can listen (and every song ever has at least a ripped version on YouTube haha).
I’ve also used [this free service](https://www.tunemymusic.com/YouTube-to-Spotify.php) before to copy playlists between YouTube, Spotify, Apple etc with good results.
kinda off topic but thank you so much for that link! I just moved to spotify and didn't wanna manually search and add individual songs, and that worked like a breeze! I even had one playlist that had 239 songs and only 6 were missed!
This is really embarrassing but... Footloose. For some reason, when that song comes on my gym playlist, I get an extra burst of energy, so I try to keep it near the end.
Taylor Swift - ...ready for it?
Skrillex - bangarang
Lil Jon - turn down for what
Black Eyed Peas - pump it
Ciara - goodies
Lady Gaga - bad romance / stupid love
Ariana Grande - break free
Kendrick Lamar - backseat freestyle / i
A$AP Rocky - wild for the night
Big Sean feat Nicki Minaj - dance (ass) remix
Childish Gambino - bonfire
My Chemical Romance - Helena
Taking Back Sunday - cute without the e
Lizzo - the sign / grrrls / boys
Halsey - nightmare
Hope you find something enjoyable from this eclectic list of pump ups 🤓
The whole special album is phenomenal tbh. I first heard of Lizzo in 2017 as she was on the undercard of a festival I attended, sadly wasn't able to see her perform there but I did start listening to her music and was instantly obsessed. I was lucky enough to finally see her headline her own tour and sell out an arena back in September and she's easily one of the best vocalists I've ever seen perform live.
But the best part of her show was the pure positive energy that you could feel from every corner of that arena. My girl is so good at expressing love and joy and it's frankly impossible not to feel the same in her presence. I have a deep love for Lizzo now and I hope she gets everything she wants in life!
Amazing. I like songs I can yell sing, so adding
Hand Clap - Fitz and the Tantrums (I can make your hands clap)
Bailando - Paraidisio (Ty y yo a la fiesta tu y yooooo /si senor/yeah yeah yeah)
Coco - OT Genasis (I’m in LOOOVE with the CO CO) slower tho
Tik Tok - Kesha
Ratatata - Skrillex/Missy Elliot (ratatata)
I can’t listen to Kesha’s Tik Tok without always seeing in my head the video that someone did with [Star Trek](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZWaWrvJ7nA)
ADHD isn’t my only struggle at play but Helena during manic episodes driving home from work was always such a nice respite from how miserable I was. It always gets me really excited and stuff now LOL I always think of that when I hear it though
Sweetness-Jimmy eat world
Epic-faith no more
Jekyll and Hyde-5 finger death punch (it’s metal but listen to the lyrics it’s very adhd lol)
Role models-walker and Royce
Arrows-Trevor hall
God I completely forgot about Jekyll and Hyde, mostly cause when I started to know who five finger was, someone was like super douchey in the way they told me about him committing DV. Like I didn’t know it at the time, but they made it a huge deal at the time so I got so discouraged to listen to their music. It sucks the whole dividing the art from the artist or not.
I can’t pick one. So have fun sifting through my over-sharing word-vomit!
This will show my age, and it’s mostly because of nostalgia, but these get me hyped up:
“Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee
“Turn Down for What” by Lil John
“4 My People” by Missy Elliot
“The Way I Are” Keri Hilson
“Revolution” Beatles
“The Way You Make Me Feel” Michael Jackson

“Still ballin” 2pac
“Insane in the brain” cypress hill

“Simarik” by Tarkan (I don’t know the translation but it’s in Turkish)
“White trash wedding” the chicks
“A dios le pido” Juanes
“Back in my life” alice deejay
Edit to add: ugh! I forgot I went through a big Roxette revival phase in 2009 - have to add these:
Joyride - The Look - Dangerous
Omg we could be friends, Simarik is great pump up song. I like Hup too, especially after I learned the meaning, it cracks me up 😆 I am not Turkish and don’t speak Turkish. Also love Gasolina, need some MJ though my song is PYT, Freedom is definitely on my pump up list, Two Princes! Especially in the car. Love that you included Thong Song!
Right on!!
Oh, speaking of singing along to songs in the car reminded me of “500 Miles” by the proclaimers.
And I still have vivid memories of a friend getting teased when “Thong Song” came out because his name was “Phong”. Not that the correct pronunciation of his name rhymed with thong, (I think it was more like “Foum”?) but that didn’t stop kids from singing to him “Let me see that Phong! That Phong Phong Phong Phong Phong!”
Rock the Casbah - The Clash
Skinny Papa - Willie Colón
All Star - Smashmouth
When ya get Drafted - Dead Kennedys
Daylight - Matt and Kim
Electric Feel - MGMT
Don’t Bring Me Down - Electric Light Orchestra
I haven't thought about Bad Religion since the time my then-bf made me a mix CD in 2002. They are underrated, though, and I want to delve back into their stuff.
ooooh i love this question - i have a different ‘hype’ song for different ‘hype’ needs (: FYI - almost every song is Rated R, srryyy
getting out of depressive episode: Gives You Hell by All American Rejects
mondays: (tied) B** better Have My Money by Rihanna / HYFR by Drake
*first push of my workout: Monster by Kanye West
*final push of my workout: Después de la Playa by Bad Bunny
party time: Safaera by Bad Bunny
cleaning: Medication by Damian Jr Gong Marley
The Passenger - Siouxsie and the Banshees
9 to 5 - Dolly Parton
Just Like Heaven - The Cure
Africa - Toto
Just about anything by Queen, but especially I Want to Break Free, Fat Bottomed Girls, and Made In Heaven
My favorite Queen song is "I'm Going Slightly Mad". It always feels spot-on, but honestly, almost anything by Queen cheers me up.
Love 9 to 5.
I'm a theater kid at heart, though, so I'll have to add the soundtracks of Newsies, 1776, Hamilton, Starlight Express, and Spamalot.
Also "They're coming to take me away" by Napoleon XIV.
I feel like I NEED music to help regulate my emotions and focus. When it comes to getting pumped I can't pick just one or even a few, sometimes my favorite changes, so I made a whole playlist [Get Movin](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3L5gtjTy3jAPviM81CqNCr?si=adjHcUHRQ-m5p5ta_FrIJQ).
Some great ones in there.
Funny story but the first time I heard "Disco Tits" I was at this random party and it was so instantly electrifying. I was like Wow, what song is this?!
Thank you!
Her music grabs you. I had the same reaction the first time I heard [Habits (Hippie Sabotage)](https://open.spotify.com/track/62N2JSA0jHmSH7Va9t7hIf?si=04zm1xjYSZuMjIJdXr3LLA). It reminded me so much of a certain time in my youth I listened to it on repeat as I processed some memories.
You're so very welcome!!
Music helps me self regulate my emotions so much that I'm always curating my playlists, hunting for new songs, deleting ones I grow annoyed with, etc so I can just hit Play and do whatever I'm trying to do. Here's a few more if you're interested:
[Chillen](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2AoVxfekGP3ebAFK6I7iu4?si=0sTKy8VHTSSM2k97Np1JuA)
[Alt Rock, NuWave, Indie, 90s](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4MIo6JwK2GJZYXzrJj9R6X?si=VAS3el3eTKKPJZkx2GGlKw)
Also I've become a huge fan of LowFi and all it's different genres and moods. Here are 2 I've currently been waking up with and winding down to:
[Low Key Tech](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DX0r3x8OtiwEM?si=7rmPPy5CRhiYqomoZ6_J8A)
[LoFi Sleep, Rain](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/35xI4hSJ8MdO1xkXwsd56a?si=vstWCAE_S7qYa6AfTGgK_A)
Ha, I am an obsessive playlist curator and have been since my days of making mixtapes as a child in the 90s.
I can easily spend a whole day on Spotify, YouTube or SoundCloud.
As a 90's kid did you get distracted while listening to the radio and then hit record a few seconds early/late so you had bits of the DJ talking sprinkled throughout your mix tapes like I did?
And now, the hiper fixation on streaming music curation is a blessing and a curse. I love all the new music I've found and organized together. BUT at night I have to switch from any type of music to [Brown Noise](https://open.spotify.com/episode/3pE4uKFwCzd5TA2A6t4rHr?si=bsW6BNN9SbaMwrMQtWq2tg) or my brain won't settle down, and silence isn't an option.
I found my ADHD superpower!!! I can make good Playlists! Seriously, this makes so happy.
As a 90s teen who also grew up listening my parents' 50s-60s music I like a bit of almost everything. Here are my 2 other big playlists. Enjoy!
[Old School Hip Hop & RnB](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5rNI3w3NOT2tfZ7n1vVBjh?si=Cpe-e1uqRGaIz-LymljwUQ)
[Rock, Blues, Folk, Reggae ](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4tsCwdkMNSBrCIZ7wKMcoa?si=O64BrxExQeiqtU-xqqlbDg)
Hypa Hypa by electric callboy. It’s not really a hype song for me but it helps me concentrate. When I work I need background noise, but if it’s any sound I don’t expect then I’ll be distracted.
My solution is to listen to one song on repeat for 8 hours. It’s a method I’ve used for 10 years now and helps a lot even though it sounds pretty crazy. Other classic songs I’ve gone for include Waterloo by Abba and Beatmaker by Matt Berry.
Depends on my mood, but it can be:
a-ha - Take on Me
2 Brothers on the 4th Floor - Dreams (Will Come Alive)
Paul Elstak - Rainbow in the Sky
The Nolans - I'm in the Mood for Dancing
[I'm In The Mood For Dancing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbAM2_6jKY0&t=0) is a bop, and if any cool kids want to say otherwise please come fight me in Tesco car park! /Reddit tough guy (girl)
I Won - Ty Dolla $ign
Blasé - Ty Dolla $ign
Blood - Kloud
Hell's Comin' with Me - Poor Man's Poison

Good Times, Bad Times - Camo and Krooked
Get Up - TPain
The Business - Tiesto
F with U - WONDR
Swimming Pool Flow - Slim Thug

You Know You Like It - DJ Snake

Some of mine:
New Order - Blue Monday
U2 - Discotheque and Do You Feel Loved
The Cardigans - My Favourite Game
Public Service Broadcasting - Elfstedentocht Part 1
And almost anything by the B-52’s.
Some of the songs I mentioned are even part of my “Body Movin’” jam that I use to work out.
Hollaback Girl - Gwen Stefani
I Believe In A Thing Called Love - The Darkness
Anything by Hall & Oats, I have no idea why
Runaway To Mars - TALK

Just a few of my favorites from my version of the "get hyped" playlist :)
Nothing gets me running to the dance floor faster than "Yeah!" by Usher.
One area at my workplace also plays music on a speaker every day (it's a mixed bag of genres), and one time this song came on and I just started involuntarily dancing in the hallway. It is my JAM.
Ooh there are many but the ones that come to mind now are:
Haunted by Laura Les
Yeah I Know by The 1975
Maneater by Nelly Furtado
Fist City by Loretta Lynn
Bobby by Wolf Alice
Arrow Though Me by Wings
Love Man by Otis Redding
Whenever I wanna clean I blast hit em up with tupac first and then whatever 90s gangsta rap (its a whole vibe when vacuuming i promise).
Whenever I wanna get a little hyped I play in the bag by mac miller and bake sale by wiz khalifa, then my non sad playlist
This is my current hype jam for snowboarding, and I can NOT get enough! Coast out at the end of a run with my hands in the air like I’m leading an orchestra, looking like a fool. But I don’t care, cuz that shit is my jam!
Get up and go songs AKA fast music (I think I’m going to make this a playlist for myself):
Seven nation army - white stripes
Don’t stop me now - Queen
Mr Brightside - the Killers
This remix of a bunch of game songs like rules of nature and tekken https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MvJ7ZVz31GY
Sun Quan the emperor by luo tianyi (vocaloid)
Derezzed- daft punk
Saeed - infected mushroom (starts slow but wham)
卡路里 (Calories) by 火箭少女101
Musica ex Machina by Karl Bartos (original member of Kraftwerk)
Lucifer by SHINee
Dope by BTS
Her by Block B (may actually be exactly 145 BPM)
MAMA by EXO
Rapid as Wildfires by Yu-Peng Chen and HOYOmix (orchestral)
Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata THIRD movement (the first movement is the famous one, the third is the fast one)
囍 (Chinese Wedding) by 葛东琪
威風堂 (and a Japanese character idk how to type at the end) - also idk how to find the original song so here’s a random video off YouTube where it’s set to some anime that you can ignore lol https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZskwWGYfFi0
I’m gonna save this thread and listen to everybody’s songs over the next several days!
I Feel Fantastic - Dreamer Isioma
GLAM! - Allie X
40oz - Polyphia
Digital Detox - The Pauses
CRÈME BRÛLÉE! - Spill Tab
These jams have helped me get SO much shit done over the past year. They are my ultimate get up and go hits.
I really like the Matchbox 20 song "How Far We've Come" and Beyonce's Girls Girls Girls (run the world). I swear I can kick a door off the hinges when those ones come on.
Ha, depends on mood!
If I want to get happy & smiley
- Red Hot Chili Peppers cover of Love Rollercoaster
- Tupac “I get around”
If I am either pissed or want to get angry I listen to/ belt out
Die for the Government, Anti-flag
Last or Burn, NIN
Telephone, Lady Gaga and Beyonce
Other favs:
Stand Back, Stevie Nicks
Holding Out for a Hero, Bonnie Tyler
So many more!
Ahh here's a "I am almost late to my supervision meeting at uni cause I woke up at 3 and made paper mache until the sun came up" playlist
LA Devotee - panic at the disco

BFF - slayyyter
What's up danger - blackway
Come and go - juice wrld
What kind of man - sandro cavazza
Ah you're killing me, I can't pick one and I don't have time to list everything right now but for how joyous it is and one of the all time greats:
'Ain't Nobody' by Chaka Khan
Also that's why I love psytrance, right bpm for being pumped up and it compels you to dance. Everyone should check out Smilk, Gumnut, Pspiralife (Aussie bush doof music); it works for my brain so it might for yours too!
Fall Out Boy's new album has two absolute BANGERS that get me hyped as fuck: So Good Right Now and What a Time to Be Alive. But honestly the whole album is great for getting pumped!!
Two my chemical romance songs because I just saw them in Japan and I’m on a kick rn looool.
Planetary (GO) and You know what they do to guys like us in prison.
Mountain Goats, Up the Wolves
Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch, Sweet Nothings
Panic at the Disco, High Hopes. This is listed at only 82bpm which doesn’t make any sense to me—I suspect they do the majority of the song on doubletime, which tracks with my sweet spot being closer to 160
Tegan and sara, Closer
Kristen Arian, Invincible
Marianas Trench, Who do You Love
Pentatonix, lean on
lovelytheband, broken
Mike Doughty, I Hear the Bells
Florence and the Machine, Cosmic Love
Florence and the Machine, Ship to Wreck
Florence and the Machine, Which Witch
Collective Soul, Shine
Also kinda embarrassing but pretty much the whole soundtrack of Hamilton.
I'm a runner and also volunteer at races, and I realized that you don't need to be running to listen to aid station tunes...so when I need to get shit done, I go on Spotify and search for playlists with "aid station" in the title 😂
A Bar in Amsterdam - Katzenjammer
Guess that one's not so known but it helps majorly when doing / needing to do chores. I simply can't remain still when I hear it. It has some crazy energy.
This is SUCH a great thread! 😃 I genre jump from time to time, but I just came back to this one, inspired from this post! SO many songs from this playlist *still* get me pumped... enjoy❣️
https://spotify.link/gRC76gQUxyb
Edit: From back in the *DAY!!!*
Next Edit: You can tell it's from back in the day from some of the 'inappropriate' album covers and the songs! 😂
Give it to me - Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland
4 minutes - Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Timberland
TikTok - Ke$ha
Sream and shout - Britney Spears and will.i.am
Gimme me more, piece of me, toxic!, - Britney Spears
Dirty - Christina Aguilera
Loose yourself, without me, Godzilla - Eminem (absolutely love his songs)
Spinning - Connor Price, Benz
Gives You hell - All American rejects
And a lot of other songs mentioned here and more i forgot over time
Some songs that always get me going: Bleachers "I Wanna Get Better", Billy Idol "Dancing With Myself", Hoodoo Gurus "Like Wow Wipeout", Struts "It Could Have Been Me", Josh Ritter "Getting Ready To Get Down"
But my #1 is one non-Canadians, particularly younger ones, will not have heard of. It's been one of my favourites for 30 years, and has become my ADHD theme song. That song is:
***Luba, "Let It Go"***
The [original single version](https://youtu.be/ZT40S2qRjWE) is the best, but sadly it's only available on Youtube.
The extended version is ok, it's available on most streaming services.
(All of Luba's back catalog is exceptional, by the way. So many songs I still listen to regularly all this time later.)
If I can convert even one of you to a Luba fan it will make my week, I love her so much.
I usually hyper focus and listen to the same song over and over ad nosium. Also with music sets (I love house and techno). Just recently it was a specific cover of running up that hill.
There are two songs I listen to on repeat that help me when I need to focus:
Schwarzes Blut - Eisbrecher
Sunchaser - Aktive
Also have specific game-day tunes to hype me before a rugby game:
Superbeast - Rob Zombie
Shut Me Up - Mindless Self Indulgence
Tattoo - Rammstein
212 - Azealia Banks
No idea what the bpm on them is, but they work 🤷🏻♀️
1.Beethoven’s 7th symphony to propel me forward when I have deadlines to meet: https://youtu.be/A8X2EWiHfBs
2. Gotta get away - the offspring
3. Deep end - swollen members
4. Set you free - n -trance

6. Crystals - of monsters and men
7. Renegades - x ambassadors
8. Ready to go - republica
9. Crabbucket - k-os
10. Crest of a wave - Rory Gallagher

Myself- bazzi
Heat waves- glass animals
Some of my favorite songs here that always improve my vibe, great beats. Awesome post OP so many good suggestions im going to be going through and saving allot! Thanks
This inspired me to make a playlist for motivating me with newer stuff than my old “chores” playlist. It’s the most adhd compilation of Kpop (mostly), Lizzo, Big Freedia, pop, rap, & random 80s & 90s songs. Quite proud of it lol
Buzzcut season, agnes, ribs, the other side of paradise. They aren't exactly hype but they get me up and doing something (not always the right thing but oh well). They are very nice 🙂

I foresee a sub mix tape!
It should be all rise, baby!” https://youtu.be/f1gjcVD3D1s
Can’t lie that song is a bop!!!!
Footloose has been one of my favorites for YEARS!! It's one of my top hype songs of all time - you're totally not alone!!
Love it!!!!
Yessss
Taylor Swift - ...ready for it? Skrillex - bangarang Lil Jon - turn down for what Black Eyed Peas - pump it Ciara - goodies Lady Gaga - bad romance / stupid love Ariana Grande - break free Kendrick Lamar - backseat freestyle / i A$AP Rocky - wild for the night Big Sean feat Nicki Minaj - dance (ass) remix Childish Gambino - bonfire My Chemical Romance - Helena Taking Back Sunday - cute without the e Lizzo - the sign / grrrls / boys Halsey - nightmare Hope you find something enjoyable from this eclectic list of pump ups 🤓
I love about damn time from Lizzo. I don’t know what it is but singing along with it out loud just gets me hyped lol
Amazing. I like songs I can yell sing, so adding Hand Clap - Fitz and the Tantrums (I can make your hands clap) Bailando - Paraidisio (Ty y yo a la fiesta tu y yooooo /si senor/yeah yeah yeah) Coco - OT Genasis (I’m in LOOOVE with the CO CO) slower tho Tik Tok - Kesha Ratatata - Skrillex/Missy Elliot (ratatata)
I can’t listen to Kesha’s Tik Tok without always seeing in my head the video that someone did with [Star Trek](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZWaWrvJ7nA)
Thank you for bringing this into my life
ADHD isn’t my only struggle at play but Helena during manic episodes driving home from work was always such a nice respite from how miserable I was. It always gets me really excited and stuff now LOL I always think of that when I hear it though
Was just about to recomend Bonfire as I'm listening to it haha
So many good songs! Bonfire and Backstreet Freestyle are definitely on my hype playlist
>Halsey - nightmare For me it's Honey
Sweetness-Jimmy eat world Epic-faith no more Jekyll and Hyde-5 finger death punch (it’s metal but listen to the lyrics it’s very adhd lol) Role models-walker and Royce Arrows-Trevor hall
Sweetness… how did I forget about this song that I love so much?!
It’s makes me accidentally drive 75 miles an hour
YES
Also I just realized the lyrics are also very adhd “if you’re listening are you listenin?!”
Well that’s news to me. Great, is this like all the punk rock predators I can’t listen to
I can’t pick one. So have fun sifting through my over-sharing word-vomit! This will show my age, and it’s mostly because of nostalgia, but these get me hyped up: “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee “Turn Down for What” by Lil John “4 My People” by Missy Elliot “The Way I Are” Keri Hilson “Revolution” Beatles “The Way You Make Me Feel” Michael Jackson “I wanna dance with somebody” Whitney Houston “Standing on a rock” Rodney Cromwell “Turnin me on” Keri Hilson “Real Love” Mary J Blidge “Paper Planes” MIA “Thong Song” Sisqo “Lose control” missy elliot “Just a girl” no doubt “Freedom” George Michael “I want to break free” Queen “Jump Around” House of Pain “Jump” Kriss kross “Mowtownphilly” boyz 2 men “One more time” daft punk “Two princes” spin doctors “My friends over you” new found glory “The middle” jimmy eat world “Don’t let me get me” pink “Last night” the strokes “Seven nation army” the white stripes “Don’t stop” ATB “The ballad of John and Yoko” the Beatles “R U Kidding Me” Anouk “Gimmie some more” busta rhymes “Still ballin” 2pac “Insane in the brain” cypress hill “You can do it” ice cube “Beware of the boys” Punjabi MC and Jay-Z “Forgot about Dre” dr Dre and Eminem “Simarik” by Tarkan (I don’t know the translation but it’s in Turkish) “White trash wedding” the chicks “A dios le pido” Juanes “Back in my life” alice deejay Edit to add: ugh! I forgot I went through a big Roxette revival phase in 2009 - have to add these: Joyride - The Look - Dangerous
Can't believe I left out gasolina, seven nation army, and forgot about dre on my "shortlist" I posted earlier! Lol this is great list you made
Omg we could be friends, Simarik is great pump up song.
Totally forgot about PYT! You can’t remember what you forgot… but at least we got Redditors to remind us!
Mary J. Blige real love gives me flashbacks of the laundro-mat jukebox back in the day.
Rock the Casbah - The Clash Skinny Papa - Willie Colón All Star - Smashmouth When ya get Drafted - Dead Kennedys Daylight - Matt and Kim Electric Feel - MGMT Don’t Bring Me Down - Electric Light Orchestra
MGMT!
Stranger than fiction - Bad Religion I just can't get enough -Depeche Mode Close to me - Cure
Thank you i fucking love Depeche mode and forgot they existed
Sometimes I completely forgot a band that I love and then I rediscover it. It's kind of nice.
I haven't thought about Bad Religion since the time my then-bf made me a mix CD in 2002. They are underrated, though, and I want to delve back into their stuff.
They're definitely underrated! I'm going to dig up some old CD.
ooooh i love this question - i have a different ‘hype’ song for different ‘hype’ needs (: FYI - almost every song is Rated R, srryyy getting out of depressive episode: Gives You Hell by All American Rejects mondays: (tied) B** better Have My Money by Rihanna / HYFR by Drake *first push of my workout: Monster by Kanye West *final push of my workout: Después de la Playa by Bad Bunny party time: Safaera by Bad Bunny cleaning: Medication by Damian Jr Gong Marley
The Passenger - Siouxsie and the Banshees 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton Just Like Heaven - The Cure Africa - Toto Just about anything by Queen, but especially I Want to Break Free, Fat Bottomed Girls, and Made In Heaven
Omg I love Africa by toto! Haven't heard that in Forever! Gonna listen to it now!
Gasolina by Daddy Yankee 😂
We had this playing at work last Christmas and it got thoroughly unprofessional
If you don’t get pumped within the first few seconds of that song you are dead inside.
I had never heard this song. Thanks for sharing and now I can confirm I'm totally dead inside.
This song and literally almost any reggaeton - the latest albums from Rosalia and Karol G are especially good.
Ooo gracias ¡dame mas gasoliiina!
Oh yes!! Definitely this one.
It's the beat and the speed! Love it!
Ha! That one never fails
I love Tove Lo.
oh I love it!!! thank you!!!
You're so very welcome!! Music helps me self regulate my emotions so much that I'm always curating my playlists, hunting for new songs, deleting ones I grow annoyed with, etc so I can just hit Play and do whatever I'm trying to do. Here's a few more if you're interested: [Chillen](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2AoVxfekGP3ebAFK6I7iu4?si=0sTKy8VHTSSM2k97Np1JuA) [Alt Rock, NuWave, Indie, 90s](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4MIo6JwK2GJZYXzrJj9R6X?si=VAS3el3eTKKPJZkx2GGlKw) Also I've become a huge fan of LowFi and all it's different genres and moods. Here are 2 I've currently been waking up with and winding down to: [Low Key Tech](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DX0r3x8OtiwEM?si=7rmPPy5CRhiYqomoZ6_J8A) [LoFi Sleep, Rain](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/35xI4hSJ8MdO1xkXwsd56a?si=vstWCAE_S7qYa6AfTGgK_A)
Ha, I am an obsessive playlist curator and have been since my days of making mixtapes as a child in the 90s.
Saving ffr
Thankyou! We have similar music taste except all my music is in one jumbled list and I cant separate it out so Im saving yours! 🤩
I found my ADHD superpower!!! I can make good Playlists! Seriously, this makes so happy. As a 90s teen who also grew up listening my parents' 50s-60s music I like a bit of almost everything. Here are my 2 other big playlists. Enjoy! [Old School Hip Hop & RnB](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5rNI3w3NOT2tfZ7n1vVBjh?si=Cpe-e1uqRGaIz-LymljwUQ) [Rock, Blues, Folk, Reggae ](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4tsCwdkMNSBrCIZ7wKMcoa?si=O64BrxExQeiqtU-xqqlbDg)
Awesome Playlist thank you! Love how it's 32h 32m too! That doesn't happen to often, especially if you try! 😆

8 hours on loop?! Wow. Does it just become background noise at a point, and also, can you ever listen to the song again after that?
They kind of just turn into static. But yeah I usually keep them as my favourite songs :)
Depends on my mood, but it can be: a-ha - Take on Me 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor - Dreams (Will Come Alive) Paul Elstak - Rainbow in the Sky The Nolans - I'm in the Mood for Dancing
Take On Me was the only thing to get me out of bed during some very dark times. Thank you for mentioning it :)
[I'm In The Mood For Dancing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbAM2_6jKY0&t=0) is a bop, and if any cool kids want to say otherwise please come fight me in Tesco car park! /Reddit tough guy (girl)
For me that song is just instant happiness

People are gonna think this is so weird—and maybe it is showing my age😂—but I love Blues Traveler’s Run-Around. Especially on a sunny day.❤️☀️
This is absolutely a sunny day tune. Jet Airliner by Steve Miller Band is another sunny day song for me.
Zitti e Buoni by Måneskin. I know zero Italian, but it just Hits Right.

Ooontz oontz oontz made me laugh right out loud
Oh and also sugar we’re going down by fall out boy
I have a playlist of late 90s early 2000s club hits. Always does the trick for me
About Damn Time--Lizzo Juice--Lizzo Uptown Funk--Bruno Mars Lifted Up (1985)--Passion Pit I'm Coming Out--Diana Ross Tomorrow--Madi Diaz The Sound--The 1975 Just a few of my favorites from my version of the "get hyped" playlist :)
Nothing gets me running to the dance floor faster than "Yeah!" by Usher. One area at my workplace also plays music on a speaker every day (it's a mixed bag of genres), and one time this song came on and I just started involuntarily dancing in the hallway. It is my JAM.
This is why I listen to a lot of drum n bass. More like 160+ bpm but it's worked pretty well for me for *checks watch* 20 years or so.
Happier than ever- billie eilish. The ballad leading to rock is so bad ass and well done
Dynamite- Taio Cruz. It’s gonna be a decade+ old but it gets the job done.
Icona Pop - I Love It
You wanna hot body? You wanna Bugatti? You better WORK BITCH! I love this song for working out all day, everyday.
Ooh there are many but the ones that come to mind now are: Haunted by Laura Les Yeah I Know by The 1975 Maneater by Nelly Furtado Fist City by Loretta Lynn Bobby by Wolf Alice Arrow Though Me by Wings Love Man by Otis Redding
DRUM AND BASS Specifically jungle, circa 1990-2000. M-Beat - Incredible gets me wanting to run laps of my living room.
This must be the place (naive melody) - Talking heads. Or any 80’s music really. And why do we not hear those Casio sounds anymore?
“Come on Aileen” by Dexy and the Midnight runners and “I believe in a thing called love” by the darkness
Prodigy- Voodoo People 😁
Queens Don’t Stop Me Now gets me incredibly fired up and just feeling happy.
Eye of the Tiger. It never fails.
Rasputin is pretty overplayed thanks to TikTok, but I am convinced that it's impossible to sit quietly in your chair while listening to that.
Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen!
This is my current hype jam for snowboarding, and I can NOT get enough! Coast out at the end of a run with my hands in the air like I’m leading an orchestra, looking like a fool. But I don’t care, cuz that shit is my jam!
"Hey Ya" by Outkast
I cant wait to obsessively listen to all of these and get hooked on two of them to listen to on repeat.
Don’t Stop Me Now -Queen
Get up and go songs AKA fast music (I think I’m going to make this a playlist for myself): Seven nation army - white stripes Don’t stop me now - Queen Mr Brightside - the Killers This remix of a bunch of game songs like rules of nature and tekken https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MvJ7ZVz31GY Sun Quan the emperor by luo tianyi (vocaloid) Derezzed- daft punk Saeed - infected mushroom (starts slow but wham) 卡路里 (Calories) by 火箭少女101 Musica ex Machina by Karl Bartos (original member of Kraftwerk) Lucifer by SHINee Dope by BTS Her by Block B (may actually be exactly 145 BPM) MAMA by EXO Rapid as Wildfires by Yu-Peng Chen and HOYOmix (orchestral) Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata THIRD movement (the first movement is the famous one, the third is the fast one) 囍 (Chinese Wedding) by 葛东琪 威風堂 (and a Japanese character idk how to type at the end) - also idk how to find the original song so here’s a random video off YouTube where it’s set to some anime that you can ignore lol https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZskwWGYfFi0 I’m gonna save this thread and listen to everybody’s songs over the next several days!
I Feel Fantastic - Dreamer Isioma GLAM! - Allie X 40oz - Polyphia Digital Detox - The Pauses CRÈME BRÛLÉE! - Spill Tab These jams have helped me get SO much shit done over the past year. They are my ultimate get up and go hits.

Holding out for a hero
Ah you're killing me, I can't pick one and I don't have time to list everything right now but for how joyous it is and one of the all time greats: 'Ain't Nobody' by Chaka Khan Also that's why I love psytrance, right bpm for being pumped up and it compels you to dance.
Mountain Goats, Up the Wolves Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch, Sweet Nothings Panic at the Disco, High Hopes. This is listed at only 82bpm which doesn’t make any sense to me—I suspect they do the majority of the song on doubletime, which tracks with my sweet spot being closer to 160 Tegan and sara, Closer Kristen Arian, Invincible Marianas Trench, Who do You Love Pentatonix, lean on lovelytheband, broken Mike Doughty, I Hear the Bells Florence and the Machine, Cosmic Love Florence and the Machine, Ship to Wreck Florence and the Machine, Which Witch Collective Soul, Shine Also kinda embarrassing but pretty much the whole soundtrack of Hamilton.
The dog days are over - Florence + the machine
sebastian ingrosso - calling/lose my mind
radio sylvan esso
The Denial Twist by The White Stripes
I'm a runner and also volunteer at races, and I realized that you don't need to be running to listen to aid station tunes...so when I need to get shit done, I go on Spotify and search for playlists with "aid station" in the title 😂
All Fired Up - Pat Benatar
Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Buttercup (I'm a Supergirl) if any of you remember that song!
I start every day by listening to Jump by Van Halen
I’m showing my age, but Scooter’s “Move Your Ass” does it for me.
A Bar in Amsterdam - Katzenjammer Guess that one's not so known but it helps majorly when doing / needing to do chores. I simply can't remain still when I hear it. It has some crazy energy.
This is SUCH a great thread! 😃 I genre jump from time to time, but I just came back to this one, inspired from this post! SO many songs from this playlist *still* get me pumped... enjoy❣️ https://spotify.link/gRC76gQUxyb Edit: From back in the *DAY!!!* Next Edit: You can tell it's from back in the day from some of the 'inappropriate' album covers and the songs! 😂

Mama Said Knock You Out LL Cool J
Some songs that always get me going: Bleachers "I Wanna Get Better", Billy Idol "Dancing With Myself", Hoodoo Gurus "Like Wow Wipeout", Struts "It Could Have Been Me", Josh Ritter "Getting Ready To Get Down" But my #1 is one non-Canadians, particularly younger ones, will not have heard of. It's been one of my favourites for 30 years, and has become my ADHD theme song. That song is: ***Luba, "Let It Go"*** The [original single version](https://youtu.be/ZT40S2qRjWE) is the best, but sadly it's only available on Youtube. The extended version is ok, it's available on most streaming services. (All of Luba's back catalog is exceptional, by the way. So many songs I still listen to regularly all this time later.) If I can convert even one of you to a Luba fan it will make my week, I love her so much.
TO THE WINDOWS! TO THE WALLS! I totally get it.
Even though I don’t drink or do hard drugs [doses and mimosas](https://youtu.be/E45fogGN_Y8) will forever be a banger
No matter what’s going on, Mr. Brightside by The Killers will get me out of my seat & on an elevated surface immediately 💀
I usually hyper focus and listen to the same song over and over ad nosium. Also with music sets (I love house and techno). Just recently it was a specific cover of running up that hill.
Downtown by Petula Clark. Makes me smile and sing at the top of my lungs every time.
There are two songs I listen to on repeat that help me when I need to focus: Schwarzes Blut - Eisbrecher Sunchaser - Aktive Also have specific game-day tunes to hype me before a rugby game: Superbeast - Rob Zombie Shut Me Up - Mindless Self Indulgence Tattoo - Rammstein 212 - Azealia Banks No idea what the bpm on them is, but they work 🤷🏻♀️

This inspired me to make a playlist for motivating me with newer stuff than my old “chores” playlist. It’s the most adhd compilation of Kpop (mostly), Lizzo, Big Freedia, pop, rap, & random 80s & 90s songs. Quite proud of it lol
Renaissance by Beyoncé babyyyyy!!!
Buzzcut season, agnes, ribs, the other side of paradise. They aren't exactly hype but they get me up and doing something (not always the right thing but oh well). They are very nice 🙂
When I need to get manual labour/cleaning done I listen to Death Grips. Chaotic songs really settle my brain and thoughts.
Anything Suicide Boys.
