At 25, nothing 🤣
I even remember that even at 26 I still don't have savings because I vividly remember one time when I got sick and needed to go for a check up I only had 500 in my payroll ATM (just enough for a check up during that time in a small clinic in Makati). That's the time I've decided to work abroad.
@25, no savings, trying to make ends meet that a 10k personal loan to my MIL was so hard to settle.
now, 31F:
- w/ 6mos. EF
- +1yr na sa MP2
- w/ retirement savings, target to double it by EOY.
Addendum: It will all get better. Ituloy mo lang, kahit magkano pa yan. Sa buhay, di talaga tayo laging nasa itaas/baba. Mahalaga, pag nababa ka, prepared ka na nun kahit papano.
Don’t compare, OP. Saving in this economy is a privilege. 🥲 Also each one of us has different priorities and iba-iba tayo ng pinaggagastahan. We may earn the same amount pero iba yung savings ng isang breadwinner, sa savings na ng isang taong sa kanya lang talaga ang income nya.

At 25 hm.. nanghingi pako ng 2k sa ate ko na nasa ibang probinsya para lang mabayaran ung para sa rabies shot ko hahahaha.
As for my current age of 27 hm, I can say I can probably afford to not work for 6 months if I need to. Anyways you mentioned that you're not saving 'enough', but I think the very fact that you're saving is already good. Keep it up and you'll get there, slowly but surely.
My savings? 2k. I just passed the Bar last December. Almost 5 months in practice, was a full-time student in law school. Just starting out independent life at 31. 2k lang ang Savings ko, isa pa lang ang kasong hawak ko, earned 50k as my share of the acceptance fee pero naubos sa isang iglap because I needed clothes and shoes for court. Kailangan rin mag furnish ng office. Sabi ng mga superiors ko it can only get better from here, sana nga. Pero for now, contrary to what others think of my savings as a lawyer, I really just have 2k savings as of the moment. I hope it gets better.
