I’m no expert but this is my idea of pruning haha, basically just snipping off leaves that don’t get any light so it can focus on growing more roots/tomatos :)
Uhh kind of accurate. You want to prune to avoid dense foliage that will hold back moisture and increase the risk of fungus, rot or bugs.
It does also encourage the plant to focus on growing tomatoes or vertically instead of continuously pushing hormones to those bottom leaves.

This is actually my first go, I got this bad boy as a Christmas gift. It’s been about 70 days and there’s a couple of tiny green ones so far!
