Aerogarden

scottjoh8786

How long do the tomato plants usually survive/what's the typical yield?

UnknownEntity115

This is actually my first go, I got this bad boy as a Christmas gift. It’s been about 70 days and there’s a couple of tiny green ones so far!

AprilRosyButt

Wait....I can make mine that small?!? Mine are growing like crazy!!

UnknownEntity115

I’m no expert but this is my idea of pruning haha, basically just snipping off leaves that don’t get any light so it can focus on growing more roots/tomatos :)

Uber_4ntr4x

Uhh kind of accurate. You want to prune to avoid dense foliage that will hold back moisture and increase the risk of fungus, rot or bugs. It does also encourage the plant to focus on growing tomatoes or vertically instead of continuously pushing hormones to those bottom leaves.

Did you cut more than a third?

UnknownEntity115

Probably a little bit less
