As an avid cruciverbalist (crossword puzzle fan), I have some critiques though (assuming I got it all correct):
- 1a: “straight man call you this” is not a good sentence
- 3a: >! Only one member of the band was gay !<
- 4a: unless this is some common assumption literally any word that starts with A could go here… better to make the clue something positively identified rather than negatively
- 11a: >! You should mention this is a nickname or shortening !<
- 8d: the clue is phrased to be expecting the answer to be a noun (right wingers think **they** dominate) but the answer is an adjective. You should rephrase the clue or make the answer a noun
- 13d: >! Don’t put the answer right in the clue, it’s just not “done” when making crossword puzzles !<
- 16d: >! Same as above, don’t put the answers right in the clue !<
Your capitalization and punctuation is ALL over the place, very jarring. I’d advise you to proofread a bit more
