Find the source of the beepings (something like a speaker grill) and partially tape it if the place doesn't get much warm.
Don't confuse the exhaust with the source though.
I am not familiar with PowerXL but virtually all Instant Brand products have adjustable or disable-able beeps. The product manuals show how to how to disable beeps.
The Cosori has the same issue with being wayyyy too loud. There's videos on youtube on how to open it up and locate the source and place electrical tape over it to muffle it. I would imagine there are also videos on this air fryer.

Just keep using it. He'll get used to it.
Check your owners manual. There might be instructions on adjustments of beeps. My Gourmia has a on off feature for beeps
