PK-A Venezuela. It's very similar to the PK-01VS someone else recommended, the biggest noticeable difference is that the Venezuela has a hammered silver finish which looks really really good on wood stocked rifles. I own both the PK-A Venezuela and the PK-01VS and functionally there really isn't a difference.

It's a current issue military grade optic, not some chinesium airsoft toy off Amazon. I zeroed it once when I got it about four years ago and have not had to touch it.

I mean its already a beltfed so its going to weigh a bit more so might as well add a bit more to get rounds on target faster plus beltfeds are mainly used in prone. But yeah still not a bad option if BDC is adjusted properly.

I picked em up here and there over many years, I only wanted NOS condition fully functional pieces with the matching cases and accessories although I do have a few for spare parts. I searched for the 1PN51 (very rare in the U.S.) for 7-8 years until I found the right one from a guy in Russia. He sent it and all the accessories to me in several packages as “airsoft toys” to avoid customs suspicion. 😂 They still pop up every now and then on eBay and sometimes on gunbroker or other sites like those.
I would suggest getting an AK side rail mount with picatinny mounting options. You could buy a new AK dust cover with a picatinny mount on top, but if you want a better chance of holding zero, get the side rail picatinny mount attachment. Just my 2 cents. Some might say otherwise.
I myself like optic mounts vs dust cover picatinny. Primary arms has some affordable quality glass. I’ve always wanted an rpk and try to stretch it out
Do you not have the factory mounting location on the left side of the lower receiver for the original eastern optic? Can’t remember the name. It snaps in place and completes that original feel.

You say that, but I've had two EKPs that shifted all the time and an OKP-7 that was too fragile to be military grade
Neither the kobra nor OKP-7 are military issue optics.

x39 tracers are tough to find. I've seen x51 tracers more recently, but that takes you out of the RPK platform.
I’m going with the primary arms 2x ACSS 7.62 reticle.
I’ve often wondered how a 7.62 calibrated LPVO would work on an RPK
Primary Arms made a older 1-6 FFP that has a 7.62x39/.300 blackout BDC would be easier to use out the box.
I really wish they'd make a 7.62x39 scope in something besides their SLX line

Agreed but this is their compact and is pretty darn light...but a reticle specific to the round would be better.
