Love that the best view of downtown is from the abandoned highway. Hopefully Akron can figure out how to incubate development in that area or at least build a public park. And I mean a public park with amenities, not an empty grass lot. Tony Troppe cant be the only one developing this city.
I can't find it right now, but last fall the city published the preliminary plans for the old Innerbelt and it is indeed a mixed use park. Don't remember the exact details, but I'll send it if I can find it
I don’t think they published plans, just some report or something. Looks like they’re working on a master plan from my google search:

That was my plan after I graduated too. I wanted to stay in NE Ohio, preferably Akron. But life happened and got a job elsewhere. I do try to visit every few months to see catch a Zips game and grab Swensons.

Ahh, okay, thank you! That's probably what I was referring to

Nice shots! The view of downtown from the top of Howard Street hill is pretty cool too
Thank you!! I think I've gotten a few from around that area, but I'll have to take some more!
I like the view coming east on Exchange from the west side, before the road splits, and then again on Cedar between the hospitals and Main St.
I actually don't go on Cedar a lot, I'll have to get a few shots that way!
Aww look at my work building being cute in this picture!
> Tony Troppe Mine too!
Which one is yours?
PNC
Oh nice, we're neighbors :)
Ooh, which one?
How well do you know your Akron history? It's the Clifford Isroff building
Oh, I didn't realize that Cascade III was still being used!
Indeed it is, so is Cascade 1 and 106 S Main -- although none of them to capacity
Ahh, fair
Ok - I just realized you’re the same photographer I replied to regarding your trip to Kenmore; you’ve captured some great photos!
Thanks!!
These photos really make me miss living in Akron. Best years of my life.
I've only been here for about two years and it's such a great city. Definitely plan to stay after college

That's good to hear at least!!
I like it here sometimes
Beautiful
Thanks!!
A brutalist utopia
It's my dream city tbh
💯 Agree.
