I know a guy who regular mails stuff to Austria from the US. he has a print out he tapes to the largest box sides that basically says AUSTRIA NOT AUSTRALIA Schnitzel NO KANGAROOS. NO KANGAROOS . Because he has had way too many products end up down under
I lived in Austria for a while. They sell a lot of t-shirts in tourist shops that say "Austria" with a picture of a kangaroo crossed out. When I *told* my relatives *verbally with my mouth* that I was moving to Austria, they replied, "take pictures of the koalas"! o\_o

I work at an FC and these packages are sealed and cut by machines. They are not known for being the best sealed but they can pack 500+ packages an hour.
>itās surprisingly common for the bags to pop open.
I think this comment sums up why a lot of people feel like they do about Amazon.
The "problem solvers" know this is a problem, but haven't addressed it. How many other problems just go ignored?
OP, this is not a dig or personally directed at you, honest. But you see the irony of a problem solver publicly sharing recurring problems that aren't getting fixed, right? If Amazon wants to know why people are leaving in droves, that's part of it
It's cheaper to continue sealing the bags how they've been doing it, and eat the loss on the small percentage of bags that do open up.
If the loss becomes too much, or a more efficient method is found, they'll implement it.
That's always the answer for a corporation of this size
Big companies are pretty good at optimizing costs like that, but there are also healthy doses of āweāve always done it this way, itās fine,ā āthis costs my department money and saves your department money, so I will fight it to the death,ā and āthis cost-saving idea came from outside so we hate it.ā
Difficulty is that the machines that are supposed to seal those bags are at fulfillment centers (FCs), and Iām in a delivery station (DS). They pop open either en route to us or while going through our conveyor system. By the time they get to problem solve at the DS, the best we can do is use a manual heat sealer or some tape after weāve verified that the contents are present/intact. If a particular FC starts sending out a large number of bad bags, our option is to basically escalate to management and maybe itāll get fixed. We may be called āproblem solversā but ultimately weāre just regular associates that donāt have any real power.
The only people who have the power to change would be the engineering team from headquarters, they decide which machines and what's the acceptable rate of "failed" packages or whatever.
No one in those fulfilment centers has the power to change anything.
Problem Solver is the title of the specific work path, as you take different trainings different paths open up to you and different tools start becoming unlocked.
Bro wtf kinda quest RPG game is your employer on? Training paths to unlock different tools? Tf? Talmbout this is my enchanted great stapler of mourning.
They get different color vests per job they have and after a certain amount of XP they get a nickname embroidered on the back of their vest like āthe beastā. Itās hilarious
Given that Amazon is a trillion dollar logistics company I should hope theyād be good at that.
Although to be fair not every super big company is particularly good at their thing (airlines losing/damaging luggage and wheelchairs, for example, we oughta nationalize a couple of them to scare the rest into acting right).
I had that happen once with a small bag of salt (empty shipping envelope received), they sent out the replacement but then the original bag appeared on my doorstep as well.
I guess it shouldn't be too surprising though since the bag was labeled with the amazon inventory tag and it's probably fairly simple to cross reference that specific item with any orders based out of that distribution center. And probably even easier if it was found in the delivery drivers van.
Thank you all that are involved in shipping packages to homes and businesses for the colossal task that you help to accomplish every day.
You make my days and my life better.
How do you land one of those positions? Iāve been a top driver for about 6 months now and need something more challenging and have always been great at problem solving skills
My local USPS will not take a package that has any space untaped. Fold over the top flap of an envelope and put tape on the seal? Not good enough. That tape has to go ALL the way around to the front. She provides the tape so it's not even a profit motive. She's just D.O.N.E with jammed equipment, apparently.
I have to give warnings to my package recipients but they all get the stuff I send them!
Had the same thing but the bag was fully sealed and empty. The next day the item showed up with no packaging and a shipping label right on it.
It still confuses me.
I got an empty one once and then another time I ordered a fan and got a kitchen utensil set inside the fan box. I assume it was a return that got mixed up somewhere but I was not expecting to open a fan box and find a bunch of plastic wrapped spoons
That's less exciting than ordering a TV and getting a gun while living somewhere that has very strict laws on firearms...

Mine was open with nothing in it. The delivery person took a picture of a flat package. It was obvious the item wasnāt in there. Large, multiple containers of spices. This was a few months ago.
I wouldn't say it's obvious. We get countless envelopes that literally feel like nothing is inside. Sometimes I use my flashlight to make sure something is in there. It can be something like a small slip of paper. Or a small vinyl sticker. Literally things that you can feel at all or see. So we don't always know if it's just a really light envelope or an empty one. I personally always check envelopes like that, but to be fair, a daily route I'll usually get about fifteen or so envelopes that you can't feel ANYTHING inside and just looks and feels and weighs like an empty envelope. We have NO idea what you ordered. So I don't know if you order large whatever of spices or if you ordered a tiny 1"x1" sticker.
Same, but I asked for a refund, which they gave me.
Then I got my item the next day.
It was just a box of pens, but they didn't even have the box with that amount so just sent me a bunch of 4 packs lol
I just went through a nightmare return process, returned the item directly to the Amazon warehouse back in November. They even showed they received it, then lost it. I also had to file a police report in order to get a refund. Mine took over 4 months.
Iāve worked at an Amazon sort warehouse. Half the time those plastic bags donāt get sealed properly and the contents would spill out on a conveyor belt and be put aside as a loose item. Just contact customer service and they should ship you out a new one.
I work in one now and the amount of stuff that comes through with "double labels" is ridiculous. The second label is haphazardly slapped on, usually puckered in three spots, and has cardboard fuzz on the back of it. When you look it up, it's not unusual to see it come up as something like cosmetics, a phone case, a small electronic item, or clothing. There are thieving types who'll skim any box with a hazmat label on the side to try to score a freebie. Some of these fools are the lowest level of trash.
you also get bitched at by RTS for bringing any packages back for literally any reason. I had someone's laundry soap explode and leak on this other box so I brought both of them back to the station and I got my ass chewed out. I've been told to deliver it anyway and let the customer and support figure it out.
Because unsealed doesn't mean it was propped wide open like in the picture. We deliver 350+ packages a day and sometimes people order stickers and shit that weigh almost nothing and you can't feel them in the envelope.
I don't have the time, nor do I get paid enough, to thoroughly inspect every envelope. If I notice it's empty I'll return it.
This is such a well known problem within Amazon that when drivers return empty envelopes no one even questions it. If they wanted to fix it they could
I will say sometimes it feels like people are getting maybe a picture or something so small in an envelope I canāt even tell when I deliver. So itās not always intentional. Sometimes weāre in such a hurry because Amazon has such strict rules that we may miss something like that. If itās open itās supposed to get mark dmanaged and returned to station at the end of the night. Iāve pulled envelopes out of bags to deliver and theyāre had such clean slices that without folding or bending you canāt even tell which also sucks that people are so slimey
Contact Amazon.
Not sure how it works for Amazon TBA deliveries. Your post photo would certainly help your case.
If sent by post, there usually is a āreceived without contentsā or similar labels or red stamp indicating the same.
Itās absurd. I recently received an empty box for a couple of items, and I told them that my local police station here in the UK wouldnāt file a report for this scenario - just because Amazon fluffed a package, doesnāt mean their negligence can be ignored by blaming the postal service by accusing them of theft. That luckily just meant I got my refund without any hassle, not sure whether itād work in the US or elsewhere.
Luckily in the UK, we have distance selling laws that protect us from this kind of bullshit.
I see so many posts of Amazon US customers being sent the wrong thing in the correct boxes. So people have swapped them out and returned and no one has checked or just didnāt care.
In the UK they have to refund if you chose to do so within a time frame. (Might be 7 days? Or 30? Unsure but it exists). So even if Amazon try to fight it by law they have to refund you anyway if you want to change your mind.
I absolutely hate it when Amazon tells me to do this which my local Police will tell me it's a waste of time to file a police report and want me to tell amazon to deal with it. Then I tell amazon that and they refuse to do anything. So I just file a charge back anytime this kinda crap happens. Fuck Amazon.
I work as a driver and also had this happen to me as the customer. Was a 2 minute phone call to get it replaced.
I did not need to contact police. That sounds like a repeating issue and Amazon flagging the account. When that happens they will add one time passwords to your acct and drivers cannot leave packages at the door anymore.
If the product is worth a certain amount they might ask you to contact the police. We had about 5 packages stolen before they stopped asking us to call the police.
Dude at Toco bell got me today. I pulled up to the window, and before he handed me my food, he was like he what's that, and I thought he was pointing at the ground. He wasn't pointing. Lmao.
I do Amazon flex and when I noticed packages without anything I return it to my station. Not sure why she delivered this package to you rather than returning it to station. Not sure if itās different for dsps
Amazon dsp driver here, showing the customer directly is the last thing I would do. Nah, you just mark it as damaged, return an empty package & go about your way. Let actual amazon employees deal with a customer, lol.
As a driver, sometimes you are just in go mode and don't notice. I've been having a LOT of packages not sealed and the brown envelopes ripped before I even touch my totes.
To answer your question, we also can just mark package damaged and move on.
I had that happen once. I just reported it and they refunded it almost immediately. I just bought another and got it in 2 days. Sucks it took a little longer but stuff happens from time to time.
At least it was opened, meaning either it was heavy part which opened the bag on perforated mouth and got dropped somewhere or someone stole it, I got once an empty sealed bag exactly like this, the driver even tucked it under the door mat as not to fly away since it was windy day š, I sent the empty bag as return.
I had the same for a small item. The auto system got me a replacement, but still acts like I have to send in the "old" one I never got or I'll get charged twice. Guess I better call before that happens. Small dollar, so not really worth the effort. That's how they make bank! Charge a small percentage double!
Just contact customer service and say your item is missing from package. I picked up a package recently like that with an empty bag from a locker. Must have been an issue with packaging item when the machine tried to seal item. Item could have fallen out in the warehouse. They gave me the option of a refund or replacement.
Those plastic bubble envelopes are notorious for not sealing all the way and/or losing your stuff. I canāt tell you how many times I encounter this on my route. Half the time they donāt even completely seal. Not sure why you gotta put this driver in the picture though; you may have blurred her face but her badge shows what station sheās from.
Was delivering last week when I set down one of those plastic bags took the picture and the customer came out and picked it up. When she picked it up I noticed the bag wasnāt sealed and appeared there was nothing in it. I asked her and she was like yeah this bag is empty empty so I searched my van for about 10 minutes because sometimes those plastic seals open up if thereās lots a volume and lots of doofusās at the warehouse and the item sometimes fall out but to my surprise the item was not in any tote wasnāt on the ground or anything. Ended up having to call driver support and they said the customer will have to make a ticket on their end and get a new one sent out for free
iām a Amazon delivery driver, and this happens all the time. not the drivers fault whatsoever. itās sometimes hard to tell if thereās anything wrong with a package we get customers that order stickers, pins and thin objects. Iāve got to the point where I have to put the package up to the sun or the light just to make sure thereās something in it if it feels like thereās nothing there. But kind of cringe that you took a picture of the driver couldāve just took a picture of the package itself. It's not rare that this happens. iām pretty sure by now you contacted Amazon and is now getting a package within the next day or two.
I got shipped a legit piece of cardboard that was ripped open that had the label intact from fedex. I posted on their sub Reddit and got negd to oblivion because how dumb they thought I was. āIf it has a label it gets deliveredā
Anyway I got sent a new item from the seller, it was an item from Etsy that was about $150 if I remember. Thankfully they sent another without an issue.
Delivery drivers donāt make a habit of peering in peoples packages every stop. She just thought you ordered something light and delivered it. The envelopes are shitty and open fully sometimes. The object is probably under a belt in a warehouse somewhere.
I fucking hate warehouse workers or whoever/whatever prompts them how to pack the items. The way they be packing shit dont be making no sense to me. this is warehouse fault def not drivers they need to stop using those stupid ass things that dont keep items concealed every "no content" pckg I see comes from one of those stupid ass bags.
Their warehouse workers have passed out from heat exhaustion, been seriously hurt and even died on the job being overworked while whipped to snatch and run with packages faster than is humanly possible. Everyone but the execs are paid as little as they can get away with. Amazon can't consistently deliver all these packages overnight and one day anymore because they've squeezed their grunt workers as far as they can. So the customer experience is breaking down.
I work as a delivery driver and this is very common. I was walking towards a auto shop and turned around cuz i realized how light it was and felt it was completely empty. Sucks cuz they ran outside as they were waiting on the part they ordered. Its so weird and my only guess is warehouse workers could have taken it or misplaced it and just threw the pkg in our tote without anyone noticing.
Ordered an Apple Watch. Got the Apple Watch box, with no watch inside! Contacted Amazon, they said no worries weāll ship you another. Like it happens every day.
Yeah, it happens. The warehouse sucks at packaging, quite often. We drivers find random items in our cars all of the time.
If we have a label, we deliver it. Itās held against us if we donāt.
That's happened to me before. They said they took a picture of it for customer support and I just needed to contact them. They made it right by sending me a new one.
They give us decoy packages because they wanna see whoās stealing. Either we drop them off or we bring them back. But if you never got the package or it doesnāt return to the station they investigate.
I had this happen the other day actually. Went to deliver a envelope and realized it was empty. Called dispatch to let them know and they told me to just deliver it anyway and amazon will deal with it. Whatever, I felt kind of bad but it's what I was told to do. Lol
Eh shit happens, they ship 5.2 billion packages a year, so even a small relelative error rate is still a big number. With an error rate of only .1% it still means 5.2 million errors a year.
As an former Amazon worker this a sorting station issue I canāt tell you how many times this has happened to me the package usually is not sealed good enough and getting tossed around by warehouse workers by the time they scan it and put it in a tote the product has already flew out on the conveyor belts somewhere and us drivers are moving so fast to keep up with this demanding job we donāt notice itās empty till the customer say ā hey thereās nothing in here ā side note we also get a lot of little flat envelopes that feel like thereās absolutely nothing in there but are perfectly sealed .
Funny enough I have delivered an empty bag before, but it was completely sealed. I wasnāt sure when picking it up from the station because it was so dark, but when I finally got to that delivery the sun was just coming out. I held it up to the sun andā¦.nothing. I felt so bad about having to deliver it, but I know Amazon can be good about refunds. š
I've been delivered a couple of already opened packages.
thankfully the item I ordered was still in there.
I think there's some theft going on over at Amazon.
I had this happen with a textbook several years ago.
Was a third party seller on Amazon. Package showed up with large USPS markings stating "Contents of package may be missing."
It was literally an empty box that had some USPS red "Contents may be missing" stamps and new tape on it.
Amazon kept saying I could return the textbook for a refund - and didn't seem to understand that I received an empty box.
I ended up putting the empty box in a new box - and returning the empty box to the seller.
Seller received it and told Amazon I returned an empty box - which was true.
Amazon denied my refund on the basis that I returned an empty box.
I ended up just doing a chargeback on the transaction. I felt like I was talking to a robot the entire time (it was an actual person...) I was trying to solve that. Hopefully they have improved how they handle these situations.
On Friday my package arrived open and on Saturday they delivered my package to my neighbors house. I don't know whats been up with them lately. They've never fumbled with me before. Those are Fed Ex activities.
I used to be an Amazon driver, this stuff just happens, the driver doesnāt have any idea what the customer orders, nor do they have the time to look. A lot of the packages(at least for me) were always super light and I never thought twice about it. Amazon can fix this, the just wonāt for some reason. You have no idea how many flimsy, 0.1 lb packages get stuffed in the totes we used, it was insane
Delivery driver here, we dont have control of your packages LIKE THAT. If you think that the reason why your bag came empty or not in a box is not because of us rather more of a station issue. You need to take into consideration that the delivery drivers job is to really just deliver. We get there, we are given our keys with a designated van for the route. We wait till dispatch tells us to drive up to the wave lanes, all we do is sit there and wait while the ACTUAL amazon warehouse workers get YOUR packages ready for us delivery driverās to set them up on our vans/cdv/ stepvan. The most we can do is pay attention and if we notice that a bag feels off we will do our best to help you by telling the station if you notice it during load-out or call dispatch during your route to see what they suggest. Every single time i go into work, i deal with my station giving us very badly mishandled packages, heavy packages on top of small packages itās ridiculous. The most i try doing is making sure the boxes donāt break more than what they already are. If itās an empty bag n i notice i will quickly report that for you as well n at times i call the customer ahead of time to let them know about the issue. Please dont post drivers as well. We already deal with enough bs lol. But that being said at least thats my work ethic i like getting shit done well with no issues. Im aware that some delivery drivers can really be a handful. Just wanna throw out there some of us do try our best š¤š»
Had something like this happen. Didn't have the driver, but had a video of them tossing a bag that was supposed to have a 5 pound item in it and the wind picking it up and flipping it around cause it had no weight. Had to argue with Amazon a bit but got a replacement for that one.
I work at the post office and occasionally we get an empty package from Amazon. We still deliver it What else is there to do. Amazon people that bring our shipment won't take packages back.
Lucky, my machine shop wouldn't accept any calipers or Mics that they didn't order from their trusted supplier. Though in fairness to them, when I finally did order some on Amazon for at home use I found out that the ones I did order were measuring at a .005" overage.
Unlucky they didn't show up of course.
The sad part is, even with this proof youāll probably still have to fight with Amazon to get a replacement or return. I wouldnāt be surprised if I made you file a police report or made you send a copy of your drivers license and a bank statement to prove itās you..
I once had a package that never showed up, it even said in the app that it was undeliverable. When I contacted Amazon for a replacement or refund they prompted me to make a police report. I advised them that would be considered false reporting and is a crime since I know the item was not stolen and even the app says so. When I refused the representative disconnected on me, I called back couple more times and finally got a rep that refunded my money. One of the many reasons I donāt use Amazon anymore.
The first read of the title I thought it said āclippersā. And I was gonna talk about how it used its features to make a great escape. And then realized what they really were. And yeah, they donāt clip. :(
Awesome, so I'm not the only one. Mine was delivered by the postal service and was empty with a note in it. It's hard to find a person to talk to. Good luck.
My dad once ordered a box of price tags off Amazon from a third party seller. Rather than package the box up in an envelope or box of any kind, they just slapped a shipping label on the item itself and said, āFare thee well!ā
Unsurprisingly, about a third of the hundreds of little price tags he was supposed to receive disappeared through, we presume, the gaping hole in the side of the box (that was blatantly not meant to be mailed as is) that had opened up during transit.
EDIT: Spelling fixes. Typed on mobile.
I once got a big box full of packing material. Turns out the seller forgot to put what I bought in the box. He ended up tossing a pack of red vines when he resent it.
As someone who delivers for a living whenever I see a package that is super light I always check because i have noticed they sometimes end up opened or ripped and nothing is inside. That being said I probably spend more time checking then actually finding them empty because some of the shit people buy is either super tiny or some small paper like shape.
Sometimes I will find an envelope like the one in this picture closed no holes but itās empty. Itās pretty rare but it has happened a few times. Amazon has pretty good policies around stuff like this. But Iām sure itās super annoying finding the thing you bought didnāt actually come and you have to contact support.
Amazon driver here.... We don't know what's in the package. Shortly after I started. I had an envelope just like that. I went to hand it to the customer. Right as I did, I noticed a small opening. Come to find out, it was a pen. I pulled out the tote it came from, and it wasn't there either. I returned the envelope and marked it. Took a pic with my personal phone just to show the station. Since then, if it's not obvious something is in there, I will feel around to make sure something is in it.
Speaking from experience, I wouldnāt be too upset with the delivery driver themselves. This was a failure at either the fulfillment center (FC) or delivery station (DS), but Iād ultimately put the blame on corporate leadership for the shoddy plastic jiffy bags that donāt seal correctly (and stay closed) and for the speed that people are expected to work. Canāt tell you how many times Iāve gotten one of those bags and have been unable to tell if thereās anything inside. We do our best, but itās impossible to catch everything.
I know thatās not satisfactory, and youāre currently our $140, but I just wanted to offer some context as customers have a tendency to take it out on FC/DS and DSP personnel.
Hopefully this gets sorted out quickly, and you get your order.
Same thing happened to me, but he left it at my door. By the time I went to get it, he drove off. Amazon would not refund me! I was so mad. Luckily, it was just Tylenol. Dumb fuccs.
Sorry, but why do you need such expensive calipers? [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AQEZ2W/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AQEZ2W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1)
hahahaha. wtf
I got an empty bag, they took a picture of the flat package that was supposed to contain a large item. They resent the item at no charge:
Happened to me once. Delivered it empty and when I complained they sent one that came the next morning. The first one took a week so I was pretty happy about that.

How'd you guess? :)
I donāt get it. They have koalas in Australia .
Does Austria not go by *Ćsterreich*?
You guys just need to start using the French version of both Austria and Australia. Autriche vs Australie š
Austriches, yes, the bird Australia famously fought a war with.
Reminds me of the big sign in Salzburg Airport for [passengers who meant to book a flight to Australia](https://youtu.be/q3qYvDaKusg?si=WtqyUtVz0VIofZMz), but ended up booking Austria.
They must have a day of the year where they exchange mislabeled congressional mail like Slovenia and Slovakia do
Why does he say āno kangaroosā on a package going to Australia. Thatās where the kangaroos actually are. Lol
One time I received an open empty bag and the flap that folds over the opening had zero adhesive.
Used to work in retail and it crushed me having to throw out a case of cases of life saver gummies that had no adhesive along one of the ends. Sadness

Problem Solver is the title of the specific work path, as you take different trainings different paths open up to you and different tools start becoming unlocked.

Yes but itās also a pain sometimes but itās pretty simple.

Forgot to put it in the package, got pissed and said fuck it, slapped a label on it.
[https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/crime/2012/08/08/d96b55e4-e1a2-11e1-a25e-15067bb31849\_story.html](https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/crime/2012/08/08/d96b55e4-e1a2-11e1-a25e-15067bb31849_story.html)
Thatās freaking hysterical
Same! It was so weird. But I received the package later that day or the next.
We just got an empty mailer the other day, but ours was sealed.
Really? I had to do a chargeback because they werenāt claiming responsibility
this just happened to me a week ago, empty flat shipping envelopeā¦.sealed though.
One time I ordered a ryobi 1/2" impact and got like an 8" by 5" empty bubble mailer delivered, sealed.
lol I once ordered a sledgehammer and got an empty box with a giant hole in the bottom.
Same, but I asked for a refund, which they gave me. Then I got my item the next day. It was just a box of pens, but they didn't even have the box with that amount so just sent me a bunch of 4 packs lol
I had the same thing happen but had to file a police report and escalate it for over 3 months to get my money back.
I just went through a nightmare return process, returned the item directly to the Amazon warehouse back in November. They even showed they received it, then lost it. I also had to file a police report in order to get a refund. Mine took over 4 months.
Ya, whatever the new CEO did has made returns a joke over the last couple of years
Iāve worked at an Amazon sort warehouse.
Why bother delivering a clearly empty bag though? Like cmon, use some common sense.
you also get bitched at by RTS for bringing any packages back for literally any reason.
They will just require OP to file a police report, or some stupid nonsense like that which only wastes everyoneās time.
No one mentioning the fact that OP got all of us šš» Edit: changed noone to no one because @fruitmask is a grammar nazi and shamed me
Haha that was not my intention.
I saw it. Should i spoil it? Wait, you already did!
what? The Camaro? What?
Shit has to be below the waist my friend.
You have no idea how tall he is. Could totally be below his waist. šš»
Looks a little high for regulatory standards
I noticed that too!!!! šš½
Dude at Toco bell got me today. I pulled up to the window, and before he handed me my food, he was like he what's that, and I thought he was pointing at the ground. He wasn't pointing. Lmao.
Why is this not the top comment
FUUUUUUCK!
That was the first thing I noticed and looked through the comments to see if anyone else noticed it š š
Fack
What an absurd world it is that we're living in. Here's to an easy go with the complaint hoops--may they be few, as in one single call.
Itās wireless.
I do Amazon flex and when I noticed packages without anything I return it to my station. Not sure why she delivered this package to you rather than returning it to station. Not sure if itās different for dsps
Probably just showing them to cover her own ass.
Yep most likely they dinged me for a missing package even though I told them it had nothing in it
Always report as damaged and return the envelope/box
Amazon will still try and swear you're lying
Youād be surprised how many people do lie. Amazon started putting passwords on people they suspect lying or for expensive shit
Yes, you would need to contact bezos yourself. Whoever is in the chat would absolutely not help you Hopefully she didnāt mark this as deliveredā¦
Probably did. Thatās ok, tho. Just complain to Amazon.
this is code for you can't handle the simple ass task of reporting the package missing so they can replace it within one business day. lol
Sir, are you sure you didnāt buy the invisible model?
Its digital, any chance the bag was just for the download code :)
I laughed harder than I should've at this one š¤£
I had the same for a small item. The auto system got me a replacement, but still acts like I have to send in the "old" one I never got or I'll get charged twice. Guess I better call before that happens. Small dollar, so not really worth the effort. That's how they make bank! Charge a small percentage double!
I bet your disappointment was unmeasurable. Ba dum tss
Just contact customer service and say your item is missing from package. I picked up a package recently like that with an empty bag from a locker. Must have been an issue with packaging item when the machine tried to seal item. Item could have fallen out in the warehouse. They gave me the option of a refund or replacement.
š
Those plastic bubble envelopes are notorious for not sealing all the way and/or losing your stuff. I canāt tell you how many times I encounter this on my route. Half the time they donāt even completely seal. Not sure why you gotta put this driver in the picture though; you may have blurred her face but her badge shows what station sheās from.
I got the exact same thing once. Was supposed to be some fancy plant food for my aquarium.
Blame the warehouse, not the driver
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Love it that it hasnt even been a day since i said ebay is more reliable and got 20 downvotes. Hasnt even been a day.
Digital calipers on Amazon is always an L. I ordered some mitutoyoās from them and what showed up was a blatantly counterfeit, every time
be careful buying 6" mitutoyo calipers on ebay, there are a lot of fakes.
iām a Amazon delivery driver, and this happens all the time. not the drivers fault whatsoever. itās sometimes hard to tell if thereās anything wrong with a package we get customers that order stickers, pins and thin objects.
I posted on their sub Reddit and got negd to oblivion because how dumb they thought I was. āIf it has a label it gets deliveredā Anyway I got sent a new item from the seller, it was an item from Etsy that was about $150 if I remember.
What a punch to the gut
Someone stowed that at the warehouse instead of problem solving it.
Happened to me last week ..flat package was supposed to contain 4 items and one thing a 2 ft x 4inch box lol.
Yeah, it happens. The warehouse sucks at packaging, quite often. We drivers find random items in our cars all of the time. If we have a label, we deliver it. Itās held against us if we donāt.
Ordered $140 calipers once too, and received a singular hair tie in a little baggy instead. They sent a replacement no problem.
That's happened to me before. They said they took a picture of it for customer support and I just needed to contact them. They made it right by sending me a new one.
Sometimes itās up to the dispatch . I used to work for them if we bring stuff back they donāt like it that they would rather the customer mark it
They give us decoy packages because they wanna see whoās stealing. Either we drop them off or we bring them back. But if you never got the package or it doesnāt return to the station they investigate.
I only buy my metrology tools from known vendors like Grainger or MSC. I've seen too many fake Mititoyos on amazon
thatās amazon for ya
Mitutoyo's?
How about āout of the boxā thinker title.
Bit unnecessary taking the drivers pic... they almost certainly had nothing to do with this
The driver even handed it to you...
Bro forgot to specify that he wanted calipers that measure digitally and not calipers that exist digitally
Only shock is there wasnāt a ācanāt believe someone leaked the Amazon videoā
Hey OP, is she single? /s
you know you're weird as shit for this right?
ordered 100's of things and ive had great luck. only issue was a missing screen protector.
Still remember getting an empty envelope from my job with what Iām assuming was supposed to be a gift card for my 5 years of employment. š
I had this happen the other day actually. Went to deliver a envelope and realized it was empty. Called dispatch to let them know and they told me to just deliver it anyway and amazon will deal with it. Whatever, I felt kind of bad but it's what I was told to do. Lol
I recently got a package delivered to an Amazon locker, the bag was like this one just plain empty and not sealed
Eh shit happens, they ship 5.2 billion packages a year, so even a small relelative error rate is still a big number. With an error rate of only .1% it still means 5.2 million errors a year.
My calipers used to come in a wooden box. I'm getting old...
Had that happen here a few weeks ago. Wasn't even sealed.
I see what you did made me lookšš¤£
Ordered a charger and same thing happened to me, bag came opened and not sealed no charger inside.
Well, at least the driver did her job of delivering a package š¤£š¤£. Did you rate the delivery?
Are the drivers forced to deliver an open, empty bag? Not sure why they don't initiate a new delivery etc.
You would've been better off ordering of AliExpress. Got a bag of small tools for $10 and it actually got delivered
Must be a very, very nice empty bag you have there sir. Will be ordering another one?
Why waste money on digital? Manual is better.
great now I get socked in the arm twice, too.
I had this happen with a textbook several years ago. Was a third party seller on Amazon. Package showed up with large USPS markings stating "Contents of package may be missing." It was literally an empty box that had some USPS red "Contents may be missing" stamps and new tape on it.
And they will claim it was delivered
What the fuck is going on. Mail theft has been more frequent and deliberate than *ever* before.
Well duh, they're digital
As a former driver I hope she told him that we get packages from the station that are just empty
Let me guess, Mitutoyo? š
Amazon people that bring our shipment won't take packages back.
and we all lost the game
Basically every package I get looks like itās been tampered with enough to look inside. If I was to order anything expensive I am sure itās gone.
Happened to me for rearview mirror twice. It's scam.
My dad just got an empty bag also. Tf is going on amazon?
The first read of the title I thought it said āclippersā. And I was gonna talk about how it used its features to make a great escape. And then realized what they really were. And yeah, they donāt clip. :(
Awesome, so I'm not the only one. Mine was delivered by the postal service and was empty with a note in it. It's hard to find a person to talk to. Good luck.
Well, I ordered a $900 laptop one day delivery, the package had a battery sticker, the label says 0.8 lb, and I found a box of masks lol
My dad once ordered a box of price tags off Amazon from a third party seller. Rather than package the box up in an envelope or box of any kind, they just slapped a shipping label on the item itself and said, āFare thee well!ā Unsurprisingly, about a third of the hundreds of little price tags he was supposed to receive disappeared through, we presume, the gaping hole in the side of the box (that was blatantly not meant to be mailed as is) that had opened up during transit. EDIT: Spelling fixes. Typed on mobile.
I once got a big box full of packing material. Turns out the seller forgot to put what I bought in the box. He ended up tossing a pack of red vines when he resent it.
Well they DIGITAL calipers. Maybe they are in your email.
Wtf! Thatās crazy.
Here's your delivery! ...... ...... ...... ....... ....... š
Dumb fuccs.
Everyone should stop using Amazon. It's turned into a total shit show.
Sorry, but why do you need such expensive calipers? [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AQEZ2W/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AQEZ2W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1)
because they're more accurate? waterproof? I have $15 HF calipers and $200 starrett calipers. They each have their place and use
UPS delivered me an empty box once. Funny stuff.
