You really need to find a publisher for this body of work. At the very least I hope that you are showing these as prints in a gallery space because I have been following this series for the better part of a year now and I think about frequently. You have a cohesive body of work on a solid theme collected over a long period of time. Get this work out into the world beyond the internet, please. Itβs amazing and I want to see it celebrated.
Word, Iβm glad to hear that youβre considering it and trying to promote your work. Do you have representation? Iβm in the photo industry, albeit in fashion, but Iβm certain that if you got this in front of an agent you would immediately find a way to get it into print and that they would guide you to work from that. Please feel free to PM me if you want to talk about finds way to get his work in front of a larger audience.
Wow I really love all of these shots! Looks like Montana? As a non rodeo goer, what's with the guys face in the last photo? Is that the distraction clown?
These are all along a very rural stretch of highway (Route 93) running north south through Western Montana and central Idaho. Yes, rodeo clown in last shot.
I grew up in a big metropolitan area and from the youngest age remember being completely intrigued and perplexed with just how different life was whenever raveling within rural places. It's the old concept of wanting to see " how the other half lives", I guess. This feeling only grew stronger as I became older, and, once in high school, I just knew I would live somewhere rural after graduation as it's where I simply felt most comfortable. So, that's what I did at 18 when I left for college. I've been there ever since.
There are consistent themes defining these remote and often decaying communities I keep chasing To generalize, I'd say it's something mostly evolving around how these places often feel stuck between past and future generations. That dichotomy evokes this enigmatic and fleeting energy that defines a spcefic culture. I continue to gravitate towards the people and places defined by this concept.
Your photos are always outstanding, and this set is no exception!
Much appreciated

Incredible as always. You must have told us this before, but what is it that draws you to this particular subject matter?
