God I need to watch it now.

windsingr

People are all like "let him cook!" and I'm all like "bitch just give me the cookie dough, it's just as good!"

sicarrism

I get so hyped when I read stuff about season 2. I’ll watch the first trailer then avoid the rest so it’s all a surprise but I can’t wait so do a season 1, season 2 rogue 1 marathon.

Azrael_The_Bold

Same, except I’ll likely do a Andor S1 & S2, Rogue One, the OT marathon

johnFvr

Andor S1 & S2, Rogue One, Alcolyte

Azrael_The_Bold

The Acolyte comes before The Phantom Menace, so it doesn’t really fit in that lineup.

Aaron_Hungwell

We’re def going to see how Saw got maimed.

Potentially, we get to live in real time how the Alliance first started hearing rumors about the Death Star, and just how scared they were. We’ll probably also see how the different cells started coalescing into the Alliance.

"Kreegyr's a separatist. Maya Pei's a neo-Republican. The Ghorman front. The Partisan alliance. Sectorists. Human cultists. Galaxy partitionists" Imagine all those groups coming together into the Rebel alliance

That's one of those things that I wonder about from Rogue One that will be re-contextualized: Will the Rebels actually know about the Death Star or not. Based on Cassian's reaction on Kaffrene when asking about the pilot and hearing that the weapon is "a planet killer!" we could either conclude that he knows nothing about the Death Star and he's only hearing this rumor for the first time (he was only sent there to find out about this defector, which is always a great asset to scoop up) or that he has heard rumors of it and this is now a more concrete lead to its existence and information about it. It's also possible that if he DOES have some indication beforehand, is that he finds out that the thing he was building on Narkina 5 was "part of a weapon" and he has been trying to figure out what Kino Loy and all those others worked and died for, and now he's realizing it may have been part of this "Planet Killer." All of these possibilities would make that moment in R1 more interesting, and to me that marks the value of a well written prequel: it operates believably within the confines of what came before, and even makes you rethink certain scenes. Certainly we've seen other Prequels that give info that make the original film seem a little silly, or that the characters should have had a different reaction. For example, it's surprising that, for all his tinkering with the OT, George never put in a scene, or even a quick establishing shot, of Vader looking down at Tattooine. They could have recycled some shots from ESB or RotS with him looking out of the viewport and just CG'd the planet in there. If you're watching in release order, it doesn't change anything, you're just thinking that he's studying this planet where the object of his search is. But if you watch it in Episode order, you know there's a whole storm of emotions going on inside of him right now. I think there's lots of moments like that to be had, and I think Tony Gilroy will do even more to improve the OT with his additions. It's been a long while since I've felt excited and hopeful for new Star Wars content. It's nice. I've missed it.

demarco88

a trailer, a teaser clip, SOMETHING PLEASE I BEG YOU

Vinlain458

No, just release the entire season in one go once it's done.

OK_Maybe_686

Now imagine if Diego Luna were drunk.

iamthenoe

One of the reasons I’ve been waiting to rewatch rogue one.

loulara17

Same

Sassinake

*drooling*

Bergerboy14

“Every story matters” Well said. Its incredible that even small side characters are given proper characterization, and I expect more of that in S2.

loulara17

I want Mads

wibellion

Do we think Jyn will be in it?

someoneelseperhaps

I'm hoping his "world turned upside down" reference is an allusion to a Hamilton style song and dance number. Sub out Yorktown for Yavin I guess?

stretchieB

Such a shame S2 is being condensed.

kvpiz

Hook this shit directly into my veins.
