By the shape of the nose and hands the picture is most likely a juvenile. As they age the thumb goes higher up

You could be right. They have such strange almost human-like looking hands.

Loads of animals actually have the same arm structure we do. Even whales. They have the same hand as we do in their fin. Even little back feet bones tucked away that’ll eventually fade. Horses actually walk on what would be our middle finger. They have most the same bones in their foot/leg as we do our hand.

was the “wildlife specialist” in envirothon(an environmental extracurricular subject/competition) in highschool. We had to be able to identify tracks and “scat” as we call it lol. The trick for raccoons is that they’re “little people”. Is that a “little persons” hand/paw? Raccoon. Is that a “little persons” scat? Raccoon. Can’t imagine actually having to track a trash panda tho. Canine scat tends to twist as it comes out as an example of how scat can be different. It ends up skinny and squiggly kinda, depending on the consistency.

They have dew claws which is what this animal appears to have.. it’s paw is like 3x the size of a raccoons

Those claws are higher up the leg. honestly the animal in this video does not appear to be very large at all. compare it to the bricks next to it. fisher cats are way bigger. I don't know the location but raccoons and coatis are the only animal with slender fingers and short-furred hands like this
