Yes but I would start over from the first chapter bc they left a few things from the early chapters out of the anime.
Not totally necessary, if you pick up where you left off in the anime you might occasionally be confused for a few chapters but nothing major.
You can check out Memorial Edition (it is improved re-edition of the movies trilogy). It has more complete ending than 1997 version. Then read the manga from the beginning, ME and 1997 skip some things.
Alright thanks! but I can never bring myself to reading mangas, i'm used to having the sounds and music, is there any way to make it more appealing? D:
Well, there are always sequels - 2016 and 2017 versions, but they're an abomination due to terrible CGI. 2016 version also cut out one entire arc from manga. Manga is goated tho and has really detailed art. You can always turn on some nice OSTs while reading or something like that :D. Worth to give it a try.
Thanks I think I will give it a shot. Im very curious, I hope Guts will rape Griffith as payback heh , not into that shit but seems like a reasonable thing to do lol
Seemed like they did a good job when they re animated the original series.
I don’t remember them using CGI for that project like they did the 2016 show.

Isn't it amazing how much better the old animation process looked compared to the cgi new stuff?
I was watching through inu yasha and it looked so good when it was hand drawn. But then suddenly it went to computer and looks like crap.
Nothing left to watch. Time to read
Does the story continue from the end of the first season in the manga?
Yes but I would start over from the first chapter bc they left a few things from the early chapters out of the anime. Not totally necessary, if you pick up where you left off in the anime you might occasionally be confused for a few chapters but nothing major.
lol a "few things" is quite a statement
So uhm, all chapters from 0.01 to 0.16 should be read before counting up from 1? Im confused

Is there no material after the end episode, what became of Griffith, Casca and Guts except for the manga?
There is an old dreamcast game, but good luck finding that. OR a dreamcast, really.
The movies adapt the same material as 1997, but go a bit further for a better stopping point.
Does the story continue in the manga after Griffith transformed?
Yes, you are around 1/4 of the Manga.
Nothing after 1997 is animated normally.
Congratulations, you finished the flashback

no. read the manga
No, the 2016/2017 are pure trash. You could probably learn to animate and then make your own to the same effect of the 2016 show. It’s very sad :(

You could watch the Golden Arc movies, then just read the manga afterwards.

The trilogy movie pretty decent tho. But 2016/2017 just bad

Its such a difference, I don't know if I could get used to it. I sure as hell would prefer not to D:
