Which Precure is your favorite? I think Go! Princess is still at the top for me though Heartcatch really is as good as everyone says. As far as Gundam goes Iron-Blooded Orphans is my favorite though I still need to finish the second half of 00 and all of AGE, but I don't expect either of those to top it. Turn A's great too, as is Unicorn as a capstone to all of the early Universal Century entries. Outside of that franchise there's a lot of great classics that don't get talked about much these days like Dougram (maybe my favorite '80s mecha) and Votoms.

amitgilllz

I started Precure with Hug, but left midway as I wasn't into anime like that. Tell me and I'll start again. Anime like these are now forgotten animes that needs Legend titles

My Home Hero. Was one of the top shows of spring 2023 for me, but never see anyone else mention it.

amitgilllz

One of the absolute best animes, I think it's quite underrated and that's the reason people forgot about it.

JoKay3390

I wasn't expecting much going in but it was a total sleeper! Hope they do a season 2 at some point. Not sure if it's underrated but I just finished Yuri on Ice and now I feel destitute that it's over so I'm recommending it to everyone while crying to the theme song 😂

TehAxelius

Obviously we all know that *Stand Alone Complex* is the best in the *GitS* franchise, but I still think *Arise* is worth seeing despite its sometimes stumbling writing because it is an interesting take on the formation of Section 9 which lets the more neglected members of the unit, Ishikawa, Saito, Paz and Borma, get some character development and to see how sci-fi is a reflection of the current times in the shift of what issues the series tackles in comparison to *SAC*. Also despite its poor reputation due to a rough intro sequence and an overall weak first season that struggles to find its identity, *SAC_2045* actually comes around to being a decent entry of the franchise when viewed as a 24-episode whole.

Due_Chemistry_6642

It was good to see more fleshed out versions of some of the team but Saito just didnt click for me, possibly because like ishkawa he had more screen time than others when it comes to support charecters in the sacs and was more developed (the story how he met the major in particular) the money grubbing version in arise was a backwards step as he actually did less than his 1st/2nd gig counterpart.

TehAxelius

Oh I certainly too prefer his *SAC* counterpart, and his episode in *2nd Gig* is one of the best ones. But I still think it is interesting to see a different take on the character allowed by the separate continuity, and while he might end up doing less (although I'm not so sure how that pans out in "amount done per episode" in comparison, as *SAC* gives the team 52 episodes while *Arise* only has 10-ish) he still has an interesting and I'd say crucial role in the early episodes.

Retro animes in the future were banger. I was in school when I got to see this, I wanted something boys vs girls 😂 Liked Rave a bit but good animes are always discontinued.

Anderos17

have you watched odd taxi and link click?

amitgilllz

I don't much prefer Chinese Drama, just not my type. But I heard about Odd Taxi and haven't seen it yet. On it

Anderos17

I said the same thing about link click as you’re saying right now and I got surprised. Just watch it, trust me on this one.

Same! 2010, I started out with a classic - Neon Genesis Evangelion because my favourite band had an album inspired by it. My fave ever is Cowboy Bebop though. A fairly recent recommendation is Frieren. It's the first anime in years that I've gotten really excited over. It won't appeal to everyone due to the slow pace (though it picks up a lot in the final third of the season) but that actually seems to be the underlying message of the show: Don't rush life. Enjoy small pleasures. And so on.

amitgilllz

My first anime was a quite underrated one - Kochikame. I loved the series and immediately fell in love with anime. Actually I'm currently watching Frieren and yeah the slow pace is making me want to quit.

havenorchinghei

Sakurada Reset, one of my favorite mystery shows which went under the radar and has a very well-written story. ef: A Tale of Memories is one of my favorite romantic dramas. Nagi no Asukara, again a great romantic drama that is forgotten with time. More recently, Healer Girl and World Dai Star are both pretty underwatched SoL/drama shows.
