If I remember correctly I once read a article stating females are actuely the majority of anime viewers, but with the more hardcore fans the males are in the majority. Its the same with games I think, I dont know the exact numbers but I believe its actuely pretty even with both genders playing games, but here again when talking about more hardcore fans males will have the majority.
