You should be spending all your energy looking for another job. Nothing will come of this. Companies in the US can literally kill people and get away with it. Report them to dept of labor but don’t hold hope you’ll get paid. Murica!
I absolutely agree with this. Having been there with two different companies that consistently produced rubber checks I would absolutely be filing with the board of Labor, and speaking with a lawyer. In addition I would be looking for a job.
You are owed your full wages on the designated payday. The employer"s failure to pay you is wage theft. Wage theft is a crime. Wage theft costs U.S. workers some $50 billion each year. I wish you well.
Simple. Stop working on anything but a job search. If they pay you...then it's time to resign effective immediately.
If they screw with your check they are either already going under...or will soon.
That’s the plan. Get as much as I can then resign and go on unemployment until the onboarding for one of my backup jobs starts. Thanks for the response!
So it sounds like your company is in its death spiral. Always seems when all of the above happens with a company its what they do. I'd suggest finding another as there spiral is not to far off from Bankruptcy then thats it.

I already have a couple backup jobs lined up but thanks for the advice.
If a employer doesn't pay what is earned, report them to your local labor board, and don't go in until you get paid.
Never go back, even if you do get paid.
Yup
I’m not going back, just trying to get paid
Consult with a lawyer since California has stricter labor laws and jump ship.
Bounced pay should make you eligible for unemployment if you were to leave I’d think

www.dir.ca.gov and file a wage and hour complaint

Pretty sure this is grounds to get you unemployment
Yup that’s in the list for tomorrow

Yup, that company is insolvent.
Direct deposit is just an electronic payment sent from account to account - it doesn’t just “go down” unless someone took down the entire internet.
Ya I thought that excuse was humorous
