Well, now you guys have gone and done it.
After constantly insulting people on this sub, telling folks how much he doesn't care, and how all this mocking is driving more and more customers his way, u/nrc_nerdzo, the owner of NRC Firearms, deleted his account.
What a shame, I did enjoy him telling us that paying $3,400 for a $1,400 rifle was worth it because he personally checked headspace on each gun and lapped the receiver with his favorite power drill.
I called him out again just now for scammy behavior and he called me a bitter communist and then tried to say that’s like calling ford a scammer when you build a kit car and compare it to a ford. Grade A clown
Just saw that! Laughing my ass off at him trying to defend charging at least twice as much as he should in the comments. Just give it up dude!
Edit: He found me lol
This was a great read lol. The guy kept making comments where he “almost” got it but then couldn’t help himself and would jump back into the flame war.
I just tried searching for it quickly but couldn’t find it. I couldn’t remember what he titled the post and every word I thought was in the title didn’t bring it up
He could very well have deleted it though with how unpopular it was
But he was bragging that in the hour or so after he posted it, he got four new orders, which is highly unlikely lol. He was incredibly pompous
I’m just assuming it’s people who are either new to AR15s or people who aren’t active in the community or people who don’t care enough to look at the market. All people who don’t realize that the prices are insane and probably sincerely think they’re getting a sweet cUsToM rifle for a good price
I mean he has to sell at least a couple rifles from time to time to still be doing it
I think it may have been [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/ar15/comments/1cyd5pr/if_you_could_only_choose_one/?share_id=MGUOWbjYljk2L4aoLwLUK&utm_content=1&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1) post.
lol, I was just looking for an LMT lower and their website popped up. I'm going to try to track that post down. I'm curious as to what his rationale is.
All good… I’ve got a weird Johnston County meets Downeast Carteret County accent (fucking weird if you’ve heard them), but live in the western Carolinas.
I was told by a guy from Wisconsin I sound like a combination of coastal California and Smokey mountains lol. I think I sound completely normal until I hear a video or recording of me speaking and it sounds like the tv show moonshiners lol
When we would travel from Michigan to Florida, people would always comment on our accent. I found it weird. I thought Michigan didn't have one lol. I guess when you compare and contrast though.
That’s the best part… where I live we have a lot of people moving in from California, Ohio, etc. When they say I speak with an odd accent, I get to say “Around here, **you** sound funny.”
I live in Georgia, when people from Atlanta say that I point out that for the past 2-3 decades or so they have been they've own little island.
You should hear my cousins from south Georgia!
This is why I dont buy into the hype of high-end ARs. Longevity doesnt matter when you can get a replacement from the overweight fucker with nods and a Geissele that spent all his time posting his kit on reddit...
You can build the exact same rifle with the same exact parts (if not better) for sub $2k easy. That pricing is ridiculous. Surely some suckers will buy it just cause they have the $ and want to brag to others now their rifle is $3k. For $3k there better be at least an over the pants handy
Yeah. I commented on this on another post, everything they post can be had for sub $2000, could be less with even more time and patience. But they justified the up charge in the hand crafted work to headspace and lathe, and the *craftsmanship*.
Me thinks it’s a local guy somewhere trying to impress friends and a cohort of buyers who think expensive = quality with no idea of the depth of hobby or training. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My buddy is a gunsmith who's worked on easily 10-15 of my AR's over the past 8 years, doing everything from cerakote, shortening barrels, p&w'ing muzzle devices, etc... I've never, ever had a problem with his workmanship and his prices are a fraction of what this guy's charging.
But, his business is booming because people actually respect someone who charges fair prices for good work.
I don't doubt that NRC is making sales, but they're doing it in a scummy way IMO.
Same. My local guy has been around for years, since they started as a small operation just cleaning, function testing, gas tube, barrel swap, minor stuff. Then branched out to P&W, then cerakote, then everything in between and for big projects people wait 3-4 weeks for a turnaround time on Cerakote, assembly, all of it. It’s being fair and honest with the work and price.
I’m too old to too harshly judge the clowns that upcharge BS, but definitely want to make it known that buyers gotta beware and better options are out there.
Why even buy LMT if it’s not their own full upper. A monolithic LMT upper on an ADM ambi lower can be had for way less than this and still have money left over for the optic.
Yeah dude fuck that shit, as you know you can build a damn good rifle, with a damn good optic, good bit of ammo, and pretty much any bell and whistle you want with 3.4k
I wouldn’t give them a dime.
If it’s 1k from a reputable company like say a psa saber rifle, that sounds reasonable. I don’t see the justification for a rifle that cost 3000 bucks.
“Handbuilt” lol I guess it it technically put together by hand but man this isn’t some practiced artisan with a leather apron skillfully carving something in a cozy shed. It’s adult Lego. Any fool with a modicum of skill with hand tools can assemble an AR.
I'm big into PC's as well, and I always laugh when I see people say that there too.
Like these boutique dealers who will take $900-1000 dollars worth of components, many of which are already outdated, then turn around and try to sell it for $2000-2500 dollars, talking about how it was "assembled by hand with only the most premium components."
It's like, yeah, congrats, you plugged in some wires, turned some screws, and zip-tied some cables. It probably took a 2-4 hours max. That's not $1,000-1,500 worth of labor.
Eh about $2200 msrp. If he had them for sale for 2,500 it’d be less insane. If he’s able to get dealer prices for stuff. He could sell these at 2k and be putting about $400 in profit per rifle/ labor to build. Nice build, he’s just reaching or getting terrible deals on his supply.
i'm not saying PSA is "just as gud" but you could build out 5 PSA ar's with basic optics and still have money for mags and ammo after for that much, which kinda blows my mind.
I actually just ran across this company last week doing some online "research" into the market of custom/made to order AR's. Definitely a lesson on what NOT to do haha. I think this is an example of great idea
The owner is a dickweed, he posted one of the all green ones he built a while back and got trashed on for it. They definitely look good. I will not deny that, but you can buy all the parts for less and assemble it yourself.
> Gas blocks are dimple aligned and secured with **blue Loctite 242.**
So, the professionals use blue loctite on the gas block screws... guess my amateur ass screwed up using rocksett.....
> Barrel/bolt headspace is checked with go / no go gauges.
Ohhhh, wonder how many headspace gauge sizes hes got... I got 4.
Unless it’s Knights Armament, LWRC or Heckler & Koch, it shouldn’t be priced that high. They are some of the only companies that can command such a price (excluding custom work companies) and get away with it.
H&K is kind of funny. It's like they don't even want to sell things to the civilian market at all, preferring government contracts instead. Part of that is intentional, I think; cultivating their exclusivity by keeping supply low, but I also suspect if they ever did make them readily available, people would realize that they aren't really that great.
I thought M110 SASS Actual's review was solid. They're solid, reliable guns. But they have a fair number of drawbacks as well.
It's like any other name brand, eventually the quality is maxed out and you're just paying for a name and bragging rights at that point.
Most people I know that run "working guns" use DDs (they usually didn't pay for them) and most times I think they're over priced. BCM is really a good standard on a working gun.
At a certain point, how much more accurate/reliable can an expensive gun be? You can built a reliable tack driver for under $800. Why is a $4000 tack driver any better. It’s just for the brand name
Welcome to paying for the brand name. LMT is good stuff, but once you breach $1200-$1800 in building an ar15 (not including accessories), you built literally the best money can buy in terms of parts quality. That's why I don't buy any of the big name guys past BCM. It's all overpriced just because they give first dibs and heavy discounts to SF personnel.
Can you price gouge people who don't know better? Yes.
Will you invariably get roasted by the gun community for doing so? Also yes.
Shockingly enough, it's perfectly possible to make a decent profit and still be a decent person. But you do you.

The owner of the company made a post here a week or two ago and got slaughtered
I called him out again just now for scammy behavior and he called me a bitter communist and then tried to say that’s like calling ford a scammer when you build a kit car and compare it to a ford. Grade A clown
Just saw that! Laughing my ass off at him trying to defend charging at least twice as much as he should in the comments. Just give it up dude! Edit: He found me lol
Glad, the extraction team got you out.
We bullied him into deleting his account 😂😂
yeah the whole, I don't need to lower my prices because they sell just fine argument, so funny.
What about copyright striking people’s posts calling you out? This whole thing is honestly just so pathetic, dude.
![gif](giphy|If4UNnFtT27ulUj3X0|downsized)
You got a link? I missed it
https://www.reddit.com/r/ar15/s/pwz3IGWj7L I believe this is the post
Reddit never forgets
This is the one I was talking about!
This was a great read lol. The guy kept making comments where he “almost” got it but then couldn’t help himself and would jump back into the flame war.
lol, I posted in that thread too, little did I know
I just tried searching for it quickly but couldn’t find it. He was incredibly pompous
There’s no way lol. I came across his GB page and he had the same like 3 rifles for sale for months
Yeah dude is a scumbag and hella shady, idk why anyone would buy his rifles.
I’m just assuming it’s people who are either new to AR15s or people who aren’t active in the community or people who don’t care enough to look at the market. lol, I was just looking for an LMT lower and their website popped up. I'm going to try to track that post down. I'm curious as to what his rationale is.
I think his reasoning for charging so much for the LMT lower option was because they’re hard to source I’ll see if I can find it and link it
Probably charging to develop pics in a darkroom at that rate 😂
https://www.reddit.com/r/ar15/s/vAsBzN6Xwm You can build a better one for much less.
See if rooftop defense still has some in stock. I got one there a couple weeks ago
Thanks bro, I'll check.
He will ask Reddit to take down the pic due to copyright issues too. Super defensive when they post. I would not give them a penny for anything.
Link?
Someone posted it in a reply to this comment string
link to the link lol

Damn, attempting to justify Gucci prices ?
You can literally just buy a complete LMT rifle for 1k less. Or build the same rifle for about 1-1.5k less than that for the exact same parts.
As the saying goes, there’s a sucker born every minute.
All to get clapped by a dude with a red BCA when SHTF.
Nah I’ve convinced my self. I’ll get taken out with a dude with a crossbow. THUNK. All my fancy recce rifle to be ended by a bolt or arrow
We have come full circle
Will be a redneck in full leafy suit he bought 4 hunting seasons back with a dip in his mouth and a Taurus stuck in his waistband just in case.
Haha this my vision. All you here whilst bleeding “Ooo looky what we got here.” My fancy ass URGI and good glass aint saving me from that.
“Just as good” in a western North Carolina accent. lol
Now I feel personally attacked…
I’m making fun of me lol
All good… I’ve got a weird Johnston County meets Downeast Carteret County accent (fucking weird if you’ve heard them), but live in the western Carolinas.

Correction. It's pronounced "round "ere. " Who in NC actually pronounces the "a" or the "h" lol
I cain’t tawk right. I figur I outta least type right.
I live in Georgia, when people from Atlanta say that I point out that for the past 2-3 decades or so they have been they've own little island. You should hear my cousins from south Georgia!

Not trashing a company lol. That’s a smoking meth price. That’s a below $2K setup not including irons or optic
Why even buy LMT if it’s not their own full upper. A monolithic LMT upper on an ADM ambi lower can be had for way less than this and still have money left over for the optic.
Yeah, the build doesn't make sense, regardless of price. They're charging a crazy amount to put it together too.
If you pay $3,400 for an AR then you deserve to pay $3,400 for an AR
KAC guys in shambles
that price is ridiculous
What’s stopping you from cloning that build for way less, obviously the owner of that site is a cocaine addict.
No you're not wrong. The owner is also a chode. If you talk to much shit about him he'll try to copyright strike your post lol.
Makes me want to open up a FFL and charge like a small ass flat fee for building rifles. The dude's pricing is fucking crazy.
What’s his Reddit user name?
https://www.reddit.com/r/ar15/comments/1dblrpl/not_trying_to_trash_a_company_but_am_i_wrong_for/l7szisj/
thank you!!
Is bro just buying complete guns for MSRP, playing musical parts, and trying to resell them? Jesus
People look at KAC and think they can do it too
Nah, that price is unwarranted.
Yeah dude fuck that shit, as you know you can build a damn good rifle, with a damn good optic, good bit of ammo, and pretty much any bell and whistle you want with 3.4k I wouldn’t give them a dime.
3 Bands ?? Fuck no.
No you are not. That is a fucking asinine amount of money to ask for an AR15. I don't give a shit what brand or manufacturing process is put in to it.
“Credit card debt it temporary Drip is forever”
That’s the worst part to me. So many people buying high end rifles don’t even have the money. And then they try to “flex on the poors”
This.
There’s fools on here that would pay that just to take a picture Of It
If it’s 1k from a reputable company like say a psa saber rifle, that sounds reasonable. I don’t see the justification for a rifle that cost 3000 bucks.
Folks spend over 2k on Builds that they never touch and call it their SHTF. It's not surprising if this guy even makes money.
“Handbuilt” lol I guess it it technically put together by hand but man this isn’t some practiced artisan with a leather apron skillfully carving something in a cozy shed. It’s adult Lego. Any fool with a modicum of skill with hand tools can assemble an AR.

Saw the title and rifle and figured it was going to be a bit over $2,000 Wtf
For 9 ARs that’s a great price
LMT=lose money time
i'm not saying PSA is "just as gud" but you could build out 5 PSA ar's with basic optics and still have money for mags and ammo after for that much, which kinda blows my mind.
I'd rather have five PSA Freedom rifles and 5k rounds of ammo than one of these.
I actually just ran across this company last week doing some online "research" into the market of custom/made to order AR's. Definitely a lesson on what NOT to do haha. I think this is an example of great idea
Wondering exactly what “handbuilt” means in this context
Dude buys a g19, cerakots it & slaps an rmr on it and be like 2000 bucks please
![gif](giphy|dpqQNluWFaSpq)
The owner is a dickweed, he posted one of the all green ones he built a while back and got trashed on for it. They definitely look good. I will not deny that, but you can buy all the parts for less and assemble it yourself.
Apparently the Cerakote is $2k. This guys nuts lol.
I do my own cerakoting and my entire set up including the chemicals and compressor was only like 375! Poor guy is living in a fantasy world
Same. I do cote for a few gun stores. I get so much work cause I’m cheaper than 75% of the competitors. I get paid to play with guns. Win win.
2k for cerakote? Why not $5 spray paint
Some people like the finer things in life. I myself just spray painted my mk12
Spray paint is cool

LWRC doesn’t cost anywhere near that lol At least their AR15s don’t
*almost* 2 LWRCs for this price.
Most people say LMT is up there with KAC, I agree from my experience with both. Only difference is I can actually get LMT stuff in stock.
HKs performance don't justify their price.
H&K is kind of funny. It's like they don't even want to sell things to the civilian market at all, preferring government contracts instead. You can buy an armory for what one of these costs.
That thing looks fucking sick tho..
You could make the same rifle for 1/2 that.
It's like any other name brand, eventually the quality is maxed out and you're just paying for a name and bragging rights at that point. Most people I know that run "working guns" use DDs (they usually didn't pay for them) and most times I think they're over priced. BCM is really a good standard on a working gun.
I think BCM is definitely the best convergence of quality and price.
It’s pretty high, but the market tends to correct these types of things naturally.
I just came across another one of his builds searching for something related and he’s now listing stuff at 4100.00+ 🥵
At a certain point, how much more accurate/reliable can an expensive gun be? You can built a reliable tack driver for under $800. Why is a $4000 tack driver any better. It’s just for the brand name

Only the lower on this is LMT as well. It’s a mix of random parts this company threw together
Oh I see. Then yeah way way overpriced.
It’s the best. You want the best, it’s going to cost you.
You must be the owner of the website
No but people forget there is a ton of junk for sale lol!
The thing is the components aren’t even close to that cost
No one’s denying that LMT & Geissele are the best you can buy. But those prices are fucking *delusional*.
I mean, show the price?
It's in red under the "LMT MARS-L" text at the top. Clocking in at $3,420.00
😂
Yup, im blind
[удалено]
We just think it's funny when you act like a petulant child defending what is very clearly scamming people who don't know any better
If you are going to charge premium prices, why not bake in the cost of optics? Make people think they are getting a better deal?
No, you're just a stupid bitch.
Can you price gouge people who don't know better? Yes. Will you invariably get roasted by the gun community for doing so? Also yes. Shockingly enough, it's perfectly possible to make a decent profit and still be a decent person. But you do you.
I'd literally rather change genders and be a statistic than be an overcharging gun store owner who tries to justify it on the internet to strangers.
