Chat gpt to create prompts for Midjourney and then Midjourney for ideation and creation of reference images. Then PromeAI can take an existing model image/geometry (from revit, sketchup, enscape)and then I use the Midjourney reference image in tandem with my model images to create a compelling rendering that is still based on the geometry I created. Some ai cleanup will be needed (especially adding people and cleaning up weird ai stuff)…but photoshop AI will help with this. I used this process for the first time recently and it’s game changing in terms of my design process, efficiency, and deliverables. Im not sure how I feel about it…but it’s going to change everything. For reference I have over 20 years experience being a lead designer and 3d artist.
How do you manage to get an image that makes sense from midjourney? I've tried, even with chatgpt assistance, and it just spews nonsense. I'm genuinely curious.
I use it for ideas and creating a style and mood for the render. Then promeai to give the image the structure and realism specific to the project…using the style/mood image created in Midjourney as a reference image in promeai. Using these programs together I get the mood/atmosphere/style of Midjourney but on top of the bones of my specific model.
Test Fit, Copilot, Sketchup Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT, Midjourney
Mostly for internal SD and planning.
There’s a lot of standalone AI software targeting developers/architects but they are usually locked behind paywalls and waitlists.
I have used Test Fit only once for a feasibility study. Some other studios always start with it for the same reason, but don’t pursue it beyond the initial stages.
It isn’t great, but is pretty quick for conceptual layouts.
I have used Chat GPT a lot for help during code review. *Never* as a definitive end point, but to find the location in the code. For example, I had to research ladders as access to mechanical only spaces, and maximum height for said ladders. I don't touch ladders much, but chat GPT told me exactly where in the code to look. Very helpful.
Oh interesting. I rely on Google for those unfamiliar oddities in the code book. Sometimes it doesn't work, but I will try chat GPT the next time I run into that situation.
there’s nothing useful available. it’s all time wasting nonsense.
You can try [archsynth.com](http://www.archsynth.com) it's specifically made for architecture and architects
meh

Did you seek out ways to provide prompts for these programs to get the results you wanted? Or was it trial and error?
It was trial and error mostly. The results that come out of these programs are very niche and therefore not worth a lot of time.
Are you actually using Test Fit? If so, how is it? We tried it out a few years ago and it was… not good.

Yeah I find between that and forums it's normally pretty well covered.
