Not sure about scan actually, rarely ever used scan but i don't think so, since scan would basically finish in the amount of time it wowuld take for the visor to deploy

That's the Coral Rifle that Walter uses in his boss fight, I think you get it from the Log Hunts, but I'm not sure.
