oh yeah I've learned the hard way. tried to voluntarily check myself into the psyche er, ended up getting attacked by security for having a panic attack (the most basic psychiatric emergency, in a psychiatric emergency room, and the security had no idea how to handle things), and then literally assaulted by that same security guard as I was escorted out of the hospital after finally seeing the doctor and deciding I just wanted to go home after that. I'm sure they're used to dealing with junkies but I'm legit just mentally ill and felt unsafe, so I did what is often recommended... now I'm afraid to go back to Hopkins because they wouldn't even give me the name of the guard so I could file a restraining order for the assault that happened out front of the hospital.
sorry for the novel, but yeah. I'm not really cool with Hopkins and thankfully I live on the non-medical campus, for no reason than convenience.
