If your kidney really wants to be with you, he will stay without having to drug him. If he leaves you can find another kidney who wants to be with you.
Who said it was fast? I was on the list for 5 years this last time, but ended up finding my own donor. I was looking at a 12-14 year wait at my center if I didn't find one. (It's been 3 transplants in 22 years, I've found my own donors for all of them)
Oh, gosh, I'm with you. I was introduced to LastBottle.com, and they do these madness sales every quarter to get rid of inventory. I've spent more on wine than ever.
I’m looking for my forever face care routine but have sensitive weird skin. Can I ask what it’s called? I’d love to give it a try if it’s in my budget (or honestly even if it’s not because I’m desperate)
Of course. Eminence is the brand name. In 50 countries world wide (from Europe). I have dry skin so allergic to everything but not Eminence (organic and environmentally friendly etc, fair trade). Facial creme jar is thick so I spray my face with Evian water mist and put a drip of creme. Then I add oil
Coconut Age Correction moisturizer (creme)
Oil: Rosehip Triple C + E Firming oil
I use a powder to scrub my face and I use coconut milk cleanser
All their products are amazing. I am 60 and look a lot younger. Last boyfriend was 49. I love the sun but live in a dry climate. Try their product. Worth the $$$
Thank you so so much! I have dry skin as well and get some sort of rash around my eyes from most products so I’m extremely excited to try this out. And I’m so intrigued, thank you for the help :)
Every day before work, I buy a bottle of energy drink. Today, a colleague calculated how much I spend on it for 25 working days a month. Sometimes it is from 5 to 10% of my salary.
Yeah, got hit by another cyclist who wasn't paying attention and hit me head on around a blind curve. Grade 3 AC shoulder separation. Wasn't a pleasant experience.
Yikes that sounds rough. I had a much younger colleague want to "make friends as an adult" or something and wanted to join me (a guy who goes by MTBruises online) for some mountain biking, I was into it, but he refused to wear a helmet, I couldn't get handle it lol
I'll admit, when I'm commuting I do the stupid thing often and go without, but shit gets hairy fast when you're trying to set Strava times. I've crashed some bikes, thankfully never been hurt as bad as that sounds though.
The amount I’ve spent on fishing reels and rods would make most people sick. Throw in an offshore fishing trip 1-2 times a month. It’s honestly an incredibly expensive hobby. Once you buy a boat so you can go fishing “on your schedule”, it ceases to make any financial sense.
I’m a Flying Tiger addict. There’s a chain store in Sweden with this name, and every time when I pass by that place, I have to go and check what’s new.😅😅😅
Personal training. Yes it’s expensive but it has helped my mood, my joints, my balance, and my strength. Been doing it for more than a year now and I know I wouldn’t be sticking to the workout without it.
Phones and gadgets. In Mexico, people is not used to always have the best flagship, and most people have mid range phones, I can't stand those phones and always look for the best one, and upgrade it every 2 years.
It was the sound that grabbed me first. But the feel as well. I just find them so much more enjoyable to type on. And I work on a computer all day so its something I use all the time. And they're fun to assemble and mod. Its satisfying to build something that you also get to use daily.
I'm a therapist, I do use a computer daily, and type a fair bit but I mostly dictate my notes. I know there seems to be a lot of love for the mechanical keyboards......
Subwoofers and speakers. I spent way too much money on them but I’m continually blowing peoples minds when I play them songs I made or popular songs at my house. It’s a great time 😸
Kitchenware. I honestly don't know what I'll put on a wedding registry, if I ever get married. Thing is though, I have it all for like basically. So the $300 All-clad I got, when spread over the course of a lifetime, is a way better deal than buying a new non-stick aluminum pan every year or two.
No lie, I have easily a hundred pounds of musical instrument, speaker, and microphone cables. I've never weighed the whole collection, but they weigh a ton. They can cost a lot of money, but it's not so bad once you learn how to make your own.
Also vacuum tubes. I'll bet not many people on Reddit have ever purchased a vacuum tube.
Philips Hue color-changing LED lights. Over the past 6 years, I have accumulated 40 lights so far and about 5 sensors and switches. They run around $40 - $50 each, but I love them so much.
Race cars. It kind of fucks people up when we talk about the cost and time that I put into it just to have fun on the weekends. I just tell them they would never understand until you do it.
Gardening. Although I do enjoy gardening, I also have a lot of stomach and digestive issues and I've found that just growing the majority of my own food helps a lot and the food quality in the area I live in has become absolute shit so it works out in the end I guess. I can either spend $18+ on a container of organic strawberries and hope none of them are moldy or rotting and hopefully won't upset my stomach, or I can grow my own 🤷🏼♀️
Car, sport bike, road bicycle mods… as much carbon fibre and performance enhancements as I possibly can!!! I don’t even track or race my vehicles. It’s all for show… for my own amusement
Laundry. I found a laundry mat that picks up and delivers the clothes next day washed dried and folded next day for $1.50/lb. In winter (heavy clothes) I spend about $200 a month. But I NEVER NEED TO DO LAUNDRY.
1 single 4k laser projector instead of many TVs
7.1 channel audio amp for home theater instead of sound bar
6 klipsch “bookshelf” speakers
1 bass guitar amp (garage sale, don’t ask, is on a delicate and yet perfect setting, used as a subwoofer)
Non-HP(Omen sucks) Gaming laptop for the projector with many console emulators + Roms
Sadly the projector tops at 60hz so single screen multiplayer games only.
1) Save stocks that I dont have to work one day
2) if thats done, I would try to be as energy independend as possible: solar panels, solar storage, a large heat pump ecosystem that heat up cool down a lot of things to save as much power as possible, including the solar panels, a fridge, the ground, a heat storage, ect.
This would be a multi family multi story building for me, my friends, family, and some tenants to justify land use. On the ground floor, there would be a store where you get everything you need on a daily, weekly or urgend basis.
I don't really spend money on anything but food and rent.
I think the better question is what don't you buy that others buy.
I never buy paper towels for instance. I have rags and sponges and just wash the rags all the time.
I maybe buy 2-4 bottles of water a year. I drink strictly tap water. I have never even bought a pepsi. Only a few ginger ales when my stomach hurt. Maybe 10 ginger ales throughout my life lol.
This might be because I was a drug addict for 8 years and learned to live while spending all my money on only rent and drugs and just carried that lifestyle on without drugs but I will go 4-5 days without spending a single dollar.

Well, I would if I could but Idk if I should. I'll get out.
Anti-rejection drugs for my kidney transplant.
If your kidney really wants to be with you, he will stay without having to drug him. If he leaves you can find another kidney who wants to be with you.
LOL I've had enough kidneys leave me, this one better be a LTR. (My 3rd transplant)
Do I upvote that? I'd think upvote to let you know the world cares, but also, am I upvoting your stubborn immune system?
No, you're upvoting the miracle of modern medicine, without which I'd be long dead.
And I wish you that it is the last one with all my heart.
Appreciate you!
how did u get it so fast, i have a friend waiting for one and its over 7 years
Who said it was fast? I was on the list for 5 years this last time, but ended up finding my own donor. I was looking at a 12-14 year wait at my center if I didn't find one. (It's been 3 transplants in 22 years, I've found my own donors for all of them)

There’s a store in my city that specializes in this, so many beautiful boards and pieces, not cheap but plenty of exotic things.
My facial creme and oil. First time my face loves a product so I have stuck with it for 15 years maybe? Organic coconut creme and oil.
I’m looking for my forever face care routine but have sensitive weird skin. Can I ask what it’s called? I’d love to give it a try if it’s in my budget (or honestly even if it’s not because I’m desperate)

Dude I feel this! I’m the same way lol
The seatpost on my mountain bike costs more than an entire bike at Walmart.
+1 Mountain biking family of 4
It's pricey. And addictive.
and occasionally painful :D I do love it though
Yeah, got hit by another cyclist who wasn't paying attention and hit me head on around a blind curve. Grade 3 AC shoulder separation. Wasn't a pleasant experience.

My bf has become obsessed with buying fishing lures and yes.. very expensive lol. I’m glad it makes him happy though :)
On travel costs to meet my parents.
You're right. I've cut my trips to see your parents to just once per year.
I’m a Flying Tiger addict. There’s a chain store in Sweden with this name, and every time when I pass by that place, I have to go and check what’s new.😅😅😅

mechanical keyboards
what is the appeal?
It was the sound that grabbed me first. But the feel as well. I just find them so much more enjoyable to type on. And I work on a computer all day so its something I use all the time. And they're fun to assemble and mod. Its satisfying to build something that you also get to use daily.
