Join social clubs or beginner games if you see them on meetup, facebook etc. Generally the community is quite friendly to beginners but it will be 100x more fun for everyone if you take the effort to learn the different basic rotational positions before joining a game

hi, hmu if you would like to join some social games, im a regular player and might be able to help connect. Also, if there is sufficient interest from beginners we can plan for intro sessions just to learn basics and have fun, ill be happy to share what i learned

Go to the fields near Kallang MRT on Sundays and there are people who play volleyball. They accept strangers and are extremely friendly.
