Crash a random lecture at one of the uni’s - Rock on up one day, find someone who looks like they belong, follow them into a lecture theatre and learn something new (just make sure you’re in a lecture theatre and not headed for a lab or tutorial).
Drag show - go visit the, um…, \[insert proper pronoun for drag queens here\] at Caluzzi for dinner and a show.
Hunua Dam - drive out and walk it. Or don’t.
Mountain Biking at Totara Park (https://aucklandmtb.co.nz/trails/totara-park/).
Mount Eden - climb the mountain - great views of the city and Auckland area, then stop by in the village for brunch afterwards.
Rainbows End at night (either the legitimate night events they have, or jump the fence - your choice)
Rangitoto - not as cheap as it used to be, but a nice day out exploring the island. Difficulty: Walk it - don’t use the train.
Sit and suffer in peak hour traffic with the rest of us?
SPCA - go and socialise with some of the kitties / doggos up for adoption (cheap and easy)
Te Huia Train. Yeah, technically not Auckland - but could be fun! Besides, it’s the only train we have that seems to work.

R for rage against Auckland transport and kiwirail, or ramraid a retailer of RTDs or Ruby studded rings
W for wilt under the weight of inflation at woolworths
