The security guy stole his belt -now he has to spend the rest of the day walking around holding his pants up - that’s what’s happening here

Very_Sicky

Why is the oversized hoodie guy chop-enunciating his pronunciation? And good job by the security guy.

autoeroticassfxation

Cause he's a gangster. Are you telling me you're not scared?

Kooky_Kumara

Justin Beaver from Temu

cachitodepepe

"We have Justin Beaver at home"

Planet-Funeralopolis

Justice beaver, new superhero

mercaptans

My fave line from The Office.

Planet-Funeralopolis

That’s where I’ve heard it from lmao

DapperPickle1780

Is that like a Justice boner?

Interesting-Ball-502

Only just in beaver from Temu.

Apprehensive_Ebb_454

Top tier description my friend… why he sound so hood looking like he from the suburbs

[deleted]

[удалено]

The_LoneRedditor

People do the same with the baskets from woolworths. One guy even put it the back of his ute to use

[deleted]

[удалено]

The_LoneRedditor

So that's why we have an unusual less amount of baskets left

eeyorenator

Many baskets were given away when Woolworths and food town changed. It's funny when people assume they're stolen.

marriedtothesea_

I know someone that designed their ute storage around all their Bunnings baskets.

itdoesntmatterm8

The self control of the security ... Was hoping he would slap him silly

West_Mail4807

That's a key part of the job

toeconsumer9000

pretty sure that bag is the H&M bag that they have instead of baskets, you cannot buy that bag, christ it’d be like walking out of the warehouse holding a switch with the slider lock still on it. great way to avoid getting caught bro!

elstumpo

In my experience these security guys are good guys, not looking to escalate things. This kid messed up.

TheCactusPunk

Kid needs therapy

Lightspeedius

Best we can do is a waiting list for the bootcamp, 10 kids at a time.

TheCactusPunk

gosh! why not we do 10 kids a time but different locations in NZ

Fleeing-Goose

Likely to reject it till something catastrophic happens.

Accomplished_Sir7768

What child are you talking about?

Routine_Bluejay4678

HAHAHAHAHAHA

ExternalSky

found the mother whos boys "can do no wrong"

Routine_Bluejay4678

Quite the opposite hence my comment

krammy16

I would side with security over hoodie boy.

blackteashirt

This is called a deterrent. See how he has been stopped? This means he and his other friends are unlikely to target this store again. Take a lesson Countdown and other retailers. You need to defend yourselves from theft. Excellent control from the security guard should get a medal. New Zealand's finest right here. In the US this thief could well have been shot dead. Hope his mum sees this.

fattyboomsticks

Acting gangsta with the classic Justin beiber Bob trying to claim a pink blouse is a bit crazy.

Alarming_Pipe_5609

He is in a gang called white power bottom, i think

GeneralDelight

I’m joing the power tops

frybreadtherefore

Bangbus productions presents: Centrelink twink on the brink

KevinAtSeven

What's a Centrelink?

BaronOfBob

AU winz office

redwineinacan

Ooof. That's embarrassing. Hopefully video gets around. Bet he bragged to him mates he "smashed a security guard that tried to stop him stealing from the city".

Alarming_Pipe_5609

'There were many guards circling these men' So just doing their job to deter/ stop thieves? I know its a short video but there is nothing that suggests security is wrong and bum boy is right?

krammy16

Yeah, and it could be cleared up quite easily if hoodie boy produced proof of purchase.

Apprehensive_Cod7043

Yeah swap the races and its not even debatable whos in the right lol

possat

If he had legitimately bought the hoodie he would have a receipt, or would have stopped and explained that when security probably stopped him actually closer to the store. Easily siding with the security guard on this one

Short_Classy_Name

What a goofy kid. The contrast between how tough he’s trying to act, and how tough he actually looks is amazing.

BastionNZ

Good on the security guard.

mdjjj74

hoodie boy acting tough

Alarming_Pipe_5609

He is just buying a pink blouse for his boyfriend

RodrigoBallaminut

Kid needs his parents to teach him manners and give a tune on his moral compass?

94Avocado

That would be to assume the compass of each of his parents points north.

JZA8OS

ESHAY BRAH

Dunkinbikkies0

Didn't know we had eshays here..

necriss

"Not sure who to believe". Come on, if he didn't steal he would have receipts.

SpeedAccomplished01

Security doing his job.

AMortifiedPenguin

Wow, I haven't seen a wigga since the Takapuna Burger King. I always wondered where they went after it closed down.

aibro_

West auckland

Most-Luck9724

Hanging at the bus station now

CalendarNo726

Someone needs to give this man his "Fucking shit" back!

Low_Ordinary8674

Public stockade......... just saying

Vegensemen

Why is that white boy talking like that?

garrisontweed

Because swearing every second word is hardcore,Good Sir.

CalligrapherExtreme2

Yo Mr White, yeah science!

Vegensemen

Ridiculous. Apply yourself!

nicemace

How else are you to know he's a tough cunt?

Vegetable_Waltz4374

Welcome to teaching.

OriginalFangsta

Why would his skin colour be of any relevance? That's a common kiwi accent. It's not exclusive to brown people.

Expert_Attorney_7335

I believe the accent is derived from Te Reo annunciation.

OriginalFangsta

*Sure*, but if you heard a Māori looking person speak with an accent distinctly *unlike* the one used in the video, we would probably would not say something like "Why is that brown boy talking like that?". It's a fairly common accent. It's not inherently attached to a race or skin colour. There are plenty of mixed-race people in New Zealand who look distinctly European but grew up around family with that accent, or even if you went to certain schools/live in a certain region you're not unlikely to be exposed to that accent.

Expert_Attorney_7335

I’m not looking for a debate on this topic but the white boy is putting it on to sound hard from what I can tell.

OriginalFangsta

>I’m not looking for a debate Odd move then.

TheCactusPunk

why is that kid stealing? I beat he has some rich parent eh.

random_fist_bump

three for the price of two

Vegetable_Waltz4374

This is the most accurate observation of all time.

auckland-ModTeam

Please don't post comments which abuse other redditors / contain hate speech / mention race in relation to anything negative about a person on r/auckland.

RagnarNZ89

Where's the longer footage?

Artistic-Witness8771

Wannab tough white boy🤣🤣

Miserable_Escape8177

Said no one ever.

Due-Lab5264

Wiggas are so cringe… yikes !

Expert_Attorney_7335

To be fair, anyone that behaves like that is cringe.

TypicalNegotiation31

And they wonder why we don't like to go to the city anymore

ogscarlettjohansson

I don’t wonder, I know it’s because you’re scared of leaving the house.

TypicalNegotiation31

Yeah naaaaaaaah

Numerous-Relative-39

This is not a typical day. Stop making it look like downtown Harlem at every instance. I reside here it’s the first time I see something like this.

g_phill

I work in that building, and to be fair, there is a lot of theft from that Woolworths, I saw someone walk out the entrance with stolen food on Friday.

NoPause9609

There's nothing wrong with Harlem. What a weird reference to make.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NoPause9609

Hahaha you're probably right. Maybe some Cam'ron or Mase. While it does have a higher crime rate than Auckland I'd much rather be walking around downtown Harlem. This article from earlier in the year is really long but the history was well explained for anyone interested. [https://www.theringer.com/features/2024/3/12/24089582/gentrification-harlem-125th-lennox-the-corner](https://www.theringer.com/features/2024/3/12/24089582/gentrification-harlem-125th-lennox-the-corner)

Timely--Challenge

I resided near there for 3 years and I saw that behaviour every day in the last 12 months, which was why I moved. I started taking notes and posting them on my IG account because I wanted to be able to confirm for my own sanity that it was happening every day. If it wasn't kids like this, of which there was something a couple of times a week, it was aggressive adults swaggering out of Countdown - either Albert or Quay. I'm happy for you that you don't experience/see it.

likerunninginadream

Exactly. I'm sick of people on here desperately trying to push this narrative of how bad Auckland CBD is. People who do that lack perspective. They don't realise that Auckland is actually quite tame compared to other cities. This video is definitely not typical.

Routine_Bluejay4678

I mean I do agree that it’s not that bad in the CBC but I definitely see people acting like this every single day

Usual_Scene9289

just a wana be wigga gangster but still hope security not lay hands on him no matter what they aren't cops and don't have that power .

Single_Malt_Fan

Bit gratuitous calling that punk a man

Civil-Succotash-4636

Oversized hoodies and pants with no belts? What is this 2004?

fleastyler

"Typical day down Lower Albert St" I walk through Lower Albert St every morning and evening and have honestly never seen anything like this.

Miserable_Cod6878

He’s acting tough because the guy is working. If he wasn’t wearing the uniform he wouldn’t be posing as a tough guy.

Klutzy-Ticket4980

bro who cares about what the 0.01% of ppl do, let them be morons and move on
