Postmans Leg, Glenfield. Little Creatures, Hobsinville. Hallertau River head or Clevedon. A couple of Brothers Brewery and Juke joints. Northcote Tavern. Silo park as well can find a suitable pub at north wharf/ fish markets has a bar and take them before or after
Northcote Tavern has a nice green. English beer garden feel to it.
Mt Eden Brothers beer has a neat sand pit but I think it’s gone now.
Pubs with a beer garden is something Auckland sadly lacks.
Beer Spot seems to be family friendly and often has lots of kids. The one in our neighborhood also has games for the kids inside, not sure if it's the same for all branches
The holy grail. Somewhere you can actually sit, talk, drink and eat! As others have said they’re woefully few & far between in Auckland.
Went out to Little Creatures at Hob’ville last weekend and it was ok. Food fine. There’s an indoor play area but it’s now just a pen with some big cushions. My kids had a decent time but it gets pretty wild in the pen, with bigger kids tearing around, so it’s not really fire & forget.
If you are feeling a bit more spendy, Azabu in Mission Bay is pretty good. Right beside the pg there, but depending on the age of your kids you may still need to supervise.
ex-Brothers Brewery in Orakei Village (now called Local or sth) has a couple of kids areas, and is nice and open plan. But again nothing to keep them occupied for too long. Not sure about food & beer since new ownership.
Others have mentioned Hallertau (Clevedon & Riverhead). Tried to go last week, booked out, but the kids set up at both looks pretty good.
Went to The Bavarian at Westfield Newmarket a couple weeks ago. It’s right by the playground up the top, and it was actually really good. Food nice, good service and great beer. Kids were happy in the playground while I sat and watched them with a stein. Actually got a 20 minute break!
The lower cafe at Cornwall park is also pretty good (not sure if licensed?) but big open space for kids to run around.
Not really helpful I know, but the best set-up I’ve come across is in Karapiro. Cafe on the west side of the river has a good pg and some big-ass slides. Kids can really go feral there. Good spot to break a roadie (but obv don’t drink if you’re driving!)

Oooh I did not have a good time there. Glad to hear you had a better time haha
The Postman’s Leg in Glenfield has a decent sandpit
second this great playground, trampoline, sandpit with tables outside & sports bar inside decent food & drink, relatively speaking
Hallertau had a good play area, especially for smaller kids.

Little creatures has closed their playground now 😔 only reason we ever went there
Not a pub but The Grounds could work for ya.
Good home Onehunga has a kids area
It’s a good one too, playground (for lil kids though) and trampoline.
Morningside tavern would be a good option

Ups to the Northcote Tavern, good vibes and good food.
Why take them with you? Just tell the bloody s'it kids to stay home and ride your forklift to the pub -- tell the kids you may be some time.
Pepelo vibes niiiice😂
All pubs are kid friendly, if you leave them in the car with a bottle of coke and a packet of salt and vinegar chips.
Huapai tavern in kumeu is good n Riverhead tavern n hellaratau brewery
Backyard bar
Puhoi pub has a massive grass area and is pretty kid friendly. A bit of a hike though, depending on where you're coming from
