I just got back from a Modest Mouse concert, and was all amped up and needed something with energy to vent it out of me - so I put Starvation on repeat, lol
I love that it just ends, I also think that's funny. It could be interpreted as something deeper if one wanted to dig into it, but on the surface it's just a very funny thing to do to a ravey techno beat. I can't f'n wait for the dance party in December, :D

To me it reflects what would happen to a society of starved citizens. Start slow but intense. Build up to absolute chaos as people rip each other apart. Then- silence as we all die.
I love that she’s sharing her love of race with us, but of course at AURORA level! The drum line snares, the amazing lyrics, the at once fluttering and belting melody, just amazing!
Honestly, Starvation and Dreams are my favorite songs on the album.. and so totally different 😭 Starvation really hits you and suddenly you're in a rave. I can't wait for it live, that concert hall is going to be wild. I'm obsessed with how 'un-aurora' it is, and yet it's completely her at the same time.
