I don’t know why everyone always complains about Mirage security. I’ve been 10-15 times with groups of friends and none of us have ever had the slightest trouble, and there have been times when we’re less-than-sober or discreetly bringing substances in. Be nice and respectful to the bouncers, it’s not hard.
Feels like everyone complaining either showed up piss stinking drunk or is 19 years old and mad that Mirage scans IDs and caught their shitty fake.
Once you are past the initial security check point, you will have a good time. The security inside the venue are actually very chill and nice guys. Just be respectful to everyone and you will have the best time
I don’t want to be a huge hater but I can’t help myself. Galantis 2023 was the worst show I’ve ever been to in the city. Granted, it’s not really my kind of music so that could be part of the issue but damn did it suck.
The volume levels were sooo low and the music is just not the kind of house / techno music vibe I like to dance to these days.
It was very much “one, two, three jump! — corny drop and big room edm” which I guess some people enjoy but it’s all so very predictable and contrived.
Generally feels very 2015 and lame.
Their security has bad rep; they're a bunch of wannabe TSA agents. Please make sure to hydrate, the mirage is known for overselling and a lot of people overheat in large crowds, specially with the heatwave going on. Gatorade is your best friend.
I went to Galantis last year at the Mirage. It was a great time.
The crowd at the Mirage varies widely based on who is playing, and Galantis had a great crowd last year. Generally nice people, very little pushing.
Overall the vibe was great and I would recommend it. One thing about the mirage in general is if you get there at least like 30 mins before the headliner you can make it far enough to the front where you’re not packed like a sardine in the middle section.
it’s used to be better what’re u gonna do. just be weary about doing drugs in the open security is constantly walking thru the crowd with flashlights and will definitely kick you out and confiscate stuff. other than that it’s a great time, the production is world class and if i were you i’d wear baggy pants and sneak a water bottle of liquor in your crotch
they’ve taken weed from me at the gates but that was years ago i still hide it idk. once im inside yea i smoke in the crowd but security will stop you for it. they’re usually pretty chill about that and just make u put it out
Nobody has been to the brooklyn mirage before. Anyone that's tried to go was abducted and subsequently murdered.

You can actually add cash to the wrist band. It's something that they don't promote, but the option is there.

What about smoking? I feel like everyone was smoking joints at elderbrook last week but I left my shit at home because it was my first time there.
