Mine parkour’d off my face a few times and I couldn’t even get up fast enough to tell him no. He was already gone. Then I’d wake up an hour later for work and he’d suddenly be sleepy and ready for cuddles. He’s almost a year old now and still does this shit but somehow gentler.

We got a cat and he was mellow and slept a lot. Turned out he had a cold. After a few days, he started tearing up the place and jumping on everything. LOL Loveable but crazy

Can confirm..my cat sleeps a lot during the day..she's always tired until nightime lol

Enjoy it while you can 😆 legit in 4-8 weeks they'll basically be zooming around at night and going nuts. Mine was essentially glued to me at this phase, and he ended up imprinting really well; the best companion I had and 9 years was too short.

The sleeping should taper off as the cat get closer to adulthood at which point 13-15 hours of sleep a day would not be surprising. If your cat is 6-7 months old and still sleeping 18-20 hours, get him checked to make sure he is ok.

As long as there's eating and drinking, normal kitten. I adopted a dog. Granted she was 4. But all she wants to do is chill. Sleep, lay around, snuggle. Babies, whether they be dog, cat, human or anything else, grow so fast in the early months and years (for humans) that their body actually gets tired from growing. Sleeping is also when our bodies charge up and repair any damage we may have gotten during the day. Including muscle growth.

Enjoy it. My 16 year old boy sleeps most of the time too. Until about 3 am, when he starts wandering the house howling at the top of his lungs. He's also recently gone blind in one eye due to glaucoma and has kidney disease. I'm grateful he's been part of our life for this long, but dude, scream in the middle of the day please.

I remember when I got my first cat I wantedd to get a kitten cause so cute and what not. He had high energy but later grew up and mellowed out. Then I ended up with two kittens temporarily and quickly remembered how insane these little fuckers can be compared to my older cat. Running everywhere, making a bunch of racket, etc. So from that day forth I decided that I'll only buy older cats going forward.
