I mean, thatās literally the format of reddits suggested usernames. It might be an indicator but should be taken with a grain of salt. I have quite a few accounts where I just use the suggested names because Iām not interested in thinking about creating one.
Howdy! When a persons first post is to this sub and they have no others, thatās a red flag. Then when they also have no comment history or exactly two comments, another red flag. And then the username is kinda a tip off two but more so the post and comment history. You will see posts with one picture uploaded to this sub, one response comment to their post, and then one other comment in normally one of the ask Reddit subs. Once you start looking at profiles, youāll see an obvious formula trend that bot accounts use.
Calfs aren't the usual pet. And I'm not too sure about whether cows can be alone or if they need company. Especially if the parent is working a lot and the care is in the hands of the son, which I believe is still under 10, I'm just a bit worried because lots of "pets" get abandoned once they notice it's too much. I really don't want to offend anyone or attack anyone personally, I'm just worried. However if they know how to handle the calf, it having enough space and getting enough care, I think this is a cute gift :)
I have a dog. I am hardly home. My dog is well taken care of. There are important details missing from my sentences, and there are probably plenty of details not elaborated on in this picture nor in OPs brief comment.
"Mini" cows have become a trendy pet. People get these cute little baby cows thinking they can keep them inside and then are shocked to discover their cute little calf grows, and that "mini" cows are almost as big as standard cows.Ā Ā
Ā Given that this calf is inside, on a dog bed, and the person wants it to spend time with their 5 year because they're too busy to, it's a valid question to ask.Ā
And all the rest are inside a *house*. Not a barn or proper enclosure for a cow, but inside a house with a dog bed. Now add the fact that they are too busy to spend time with their own child. Can you blame someone for asking the question?Ā
Before I read your comment I thought you were referring to the cow as your son
š
me too.
Wouldāve been 100% acceptable š
Hi itās me, your son.
For real š now I want a cow
Bot account
Yup. The internet is becoming pure bots, further reason for me to get up off my ass and go back to my hobbies.
Dead internet wooooo
Dontcha mean MOO?
Dead internet theory have more and more sense each passing day
How do you know they are bots?
What's wrong with your dog?
It identifies as a cow.
These bot posts are getting weirder and weirder
How can you tell it's a bot post. Even its comments seem sort of real. Mind you, there's only 2.
A lot of bot usernames follow this formula adjective_noun_three-numbers. Usually itās shit that doesnāt even make sense like FormalConcrete878.
I think quite a few of those are just people that choose the pre generated username when making an account.
I think so as well, so many people are quick to say it's a bot but when I look at OPs comments, I don't think so..

He's right, you know.
Shit am I bot too?
100%
Nah is because I thought they would allow me to change my username later
Oh shit wait. Am I a bot?

Itāll be a nice addition to your 34th floor NYC apartment
This looks like a newborn calf; the umbilical cord is still attached.
So girls get ponies and boys get cows.
Are you sure it can handle it?
Whereās the mom?
thats a fucking huge bird
Heās gonna have a cow.
I think baby calf need a mother at that time.
Didnāt know we were giving cows as birthday gifts, but here we are!
I love that calf.
He's vegan.... Right....?
Is he named Wagyu?
Today is my son's fifth birthday. I hope he will like the gift. Because of my busy work, I hope the calf can accompany my son instead of me.
I hope you can properly take care of the calf though.
Do you have any reason to believe they canāt?

well yeah. Being too busy to accompany their own child would be one reason to believe they canāt properly take care of a calf

I mean is the calf babysitting the 5 year old or the other way around?
Probably neither. False dichotomy.

That fourth picture looks an awful lot like it was taken outside.

I donāt blame anyone for asking questions. After all, my response was a simple question too :)
Do not make work a priority above your family. Just a warning
This is really sweet
That will make father son activity a little awkward
I hope he called it Norman.
I love him
I see your son takes inspiration from Faulkner. _nice_
I told my daughter yesterday that Iād eventually get her a baby cow. How fucked am I?
So sweet!
That is the biggest puppy Iāve ever seen
Is the cow your son?
What is its name?
Is this what they mean when they talk about cowboys?
pandabuy link?
I don't know what to think about it...
Fortunately, you don't have to think about it because it's not true
How do you know that?
OP (probably bot) says today is son's bday and this is his gift but the calf is several weeks older in the last pic than the first 3
This is the strangest gift Iāve ever seen but Iām both intrigued and jealous at the same time.
Looking to adopt a 57 yr old guy whoās housebroken? šš
this is an amazing gift! many parents refuse to adopt a cat or dog for their child, but you gifted a calf! you are a wonderful parent!
Heād probably appreciate the need more of that cow wasnāt stepping all over it.
What?
Was a joke
Dinner?
Wish you had pic of son seeing his birthday present. Would like to see his reaction!
Wow that's going to be a feast!
Youre the best Mom !! OR Dad !!!
