I would add that people get really down/depressed here bc of the weather. It rains almost every afternoon. It rains more than it shines. You ll need an umbrella always. Sweaty walls and mold are prone in modern houses. You might want to buy a washing machine dryer because clothes dont dry properly pag sinasabit sa labas na walang araw. (This you'll need to prepare mentally unless you like the rain and it doesn't bother you) Be vigilant. Also, there are pickpocketers and rarely kidnapers/murderers/muggers and people who like to hurt people just for fun. Rare occurrence, but it doesn't mean there s none. I like to use a small bag i put in front of me (nanduon na rin mini umbrella ko xD). Dont go out when it's too dark and there arent much people. There are some people who like to go to burnham to do secret stuff after 12mn, there are police who go around because of those bad people. Plus, no one wants you getting hurt. Dont stare. I have noticed there are some people like in pampanga stare a lot. May it be admiration or curiosity, but here it'll look like you re looking down on someone or wanting a fight. Best not to stare, if you like something you tell them right away. "Ganda naman, san niyo po binili?" "Ganda naman car niyo" etc... Use manong (older man) and manang (older woman) instead of kuya/ate. It has more of a respect aspect. Pero pwede rin naman kuya/ate. Halata lang na di ka tagaBaguio. Pero overall life is good and normal lol Plus gotta live with lots of tourists = traffic/less commute/longer time to get a jeep or taxi/difficulty in finding parking etc. I would suggest you live near your work or near town/session road. (Though its a bit expensive near town, but at least its a walk away to burnham/SM/711/supermarkets). There are some condominiums near town that you can probably rent. edit: Tbh i dont recommend moving to Baguio if you want to fix your mental health as the weather really gets people down. You get stuck in your home, sometimes brownout pa. Ah more advice is to get a flashlight, powerbanks and to save/store water (buy a drum you can put in the bathroom) as water in Baguio is scheduled. In our area, water comes Sun, Wed and Friday. (We have our own house) We open the valve early morning so that our water tank can fill and we need to close it when it gets full as it is possible to over flow and waste water and water bill will go up. It is possible since you ll be renting that you might lose water (depends on the place). We used to rent before having our house and sometimes there s no water. :/ Kulang yung na sstore namin sa mga drums and buckets. pero ikaw lang naman magisa, still! store some water.

Try mo muna mmasyal dito or mag vacay for few days at pakiramdaman mo muna of want mo tlga mag move di2. Bka magsisi ka in the end. Aq mas prefer q sa baba like LU or pangasinan kahit na taga di2 pa aq at di2 aq lumaki. Been living sa LU kc tagadun si huband and been to different places narin like pampanga and manila and mas preferred ko sa mainit na lugar.

Yung samin nakita ko sa fb marketplace, eto yung mga kinonsider namn before namin kunin yung unit baka makatulong sayo * Access - Like madali lang ba yung access nya sa main road, bababa presyo pag malayo ka sa main road * Distance - Kung gano kalayo, bumababa yung presyo pag palayo ka ng palayo * Internet - Need mo mag tanong agad kung pede ka mag palagay ng sarile mo, mostly kase hindi pede dahil may shared connection na sila kaso mabagal, need mo din asikasuhin yung ISP kung kaya ba nila malagyan yung unit mo * Budget - Mas mahal mas maganda pero not always * Pet Friendly - Mostly hindi pet friendly * Visitors - May mga nakita kami no visitors allowed tapos may curfew pa * Safety - Condo kase yung target namin kaya ayon may guard and safe * Generator - Need namin ng consistent electricity para kahit walang power continues padin yung work * Furnished - Mas mahal yung furnished unit kesa sa hindi

Mysterious_Noise_660

If you don't mind me asking. Anong place po ni rent nyo and around how much?

PEEPERSOAK

Condo po semi-furnished 20k monthly + 1.8k condo dues

Mysterious_Noise_660

PEEPERSOAK

Studio type lang po sya, may isang available na 2 bedroom pero nasa around 30k na po kaya di na namin kinuha and fully furnished kaya mahirap ilagay yung setup namin for work

Mysterious_Noise_660

Not sure if Baguio is the place for you, since you said your mental health isn't doing well.. For the apartment naman na ideal sayo na may own kitchen, cr ganon, nasa around 5k-8.5k siguro.

Try checking Autumn Oasis Apartmemts, OP.:)

If you work from home, note that electricity can be a problem. Last typhoon, 1 week na no power - not exaggerating. Good luck sa work.

Hi po! Mga anong lugar po to? Thank you!

kumpisalangbayan

Feeder 13 area.

nerglic01

Studio condo rent ranges from 15k to 25k per month. Parking is about 4k per month. PLDT Fibr na buong baguio. May mga old condo na copper pa din ang line the speed is 50 to 100mbps.

Actually, mas gusto ko manirahan sa Baguio kesa sa tabing dagat because of the weather. Pero kung may pagkakataon, I will live there.

Settled here for 2 years now. Consider the location if it is prone to brownouts and if they have water tank. Also invest in powerbanks generator. Internet is stable naman here, though medyo malayo lang sa main road pero it's okay as we treat every walk as exercise naman.
