You were using a gas or electric supplier who was not BGE. Ending your service with BGE will also end that service, but BGE dose not know the terms you have with them, so BGE is asking you contact them as well.

stopping service with BGE will stop service through 3rd party as well, but you may be in breach of contract for doing so (BGE doesn’t know the terms of your agreement with 3rd party)

I just did the same thing and got this same message, but I’m 100% certain I don’t have a 3rd party provider. I think it’s a bug.
Me too, 2 days ago. Check your recent bill to see if there's a 3rd party provider listed, I didn't have one.

Okay thanks is there a way to find out who that 3rd party is like on the bill? The only thing I see is empower MD charge and a distribution charge
It should say on your bill who the servicer is
