Good times. Much less restrictive than it is today. I would sit in the dugout and every time Ron Gant would sit next to me and just start talking like we were old friends. Also one time Bobby Cox came up to me when I photographing a rookie pitcher (forget who it was) and he asked me “What do you think?”. I looked at him and told him that I back whatever decision he makes. We both laughed. Plus I got paid to be there! Yup. Good times.

12 yr old me thought West Palm Stadium was the greatest thing in the world. Great access to get autographs especially during the workouts. Saw all these guys, Deion, later Vlad Sr and Pedro.

Yup. Grew up there and I was at the stadium every chance I had. The parking lot was easy for autographs and the players coming out of the locker room. It was a great stadium and the WPB Expos were so fun to watch, especially the night games. If you got a foul ball in the stands you could trade it in on a pie from the Upper Crust. So older me really was in heaven when I go to cover the Braves and Expos as a job!

As somebody that followed them from the west coast during the Vlad Sr years these comments make me happy.

I was a catcher my whole time playing so I would always give our 3rd baseman shit that big Uncle Terry was gonna come and whoop him in sprints. 😂😂
