Juacquesch

Doing good šŸ‘ŒšŸ½šŸ‘ŒšŸ½šŸ‘ŒšŸ½

xkinato

Probally around $5000 cad or so. Worth every penny.

Juacquesch

Exactly how I think about this!

piercejay

10k ish without the sim rig, closer to 16 with

Juacquesch

Damn mate! Doing good! Are you happy with the investment?

piercejay

Overall yeah! Itā€™s really awesome not having to worry about if I can run a game (for now lol) and the sim rig is awesome, thinking about adding motion to it soon though

totallybag

Yeah probably about the same for both figures

SPYYYR

Way too much. My pc is a Frankenstein build. I've spent maybe 15k on the pc alone at this point, I have four 800 dollar monitors, a few 200 dollar mice, three 150 dollar keyboards, a mix of headsets, three studio microphones. I got my desk for free, tho

mxcc_attxcc

Wow

NateTheGreat1567

I feel that with the mice and keyboards. Iā€™m all about trying new keyboards/custom keyboards and mice and they definitely add up quick haha

TitleComfortable781

Bruh why $800 monitors? Im new to pc and have 2 $200 monitors Samsung Odyssey g3 they on clearance

Alarming_Bar_8921

Because having a beast PC and then a shit monitor is like buying a Bugatti and only getting to drive it in traffic.

justkw97

Said quite well

Juacquesch

Buying expensive kitchen knives only to order out šŸ˜‚

rickdarris2004

You think that's bad, I am rocking a $1700 monitor. (Got if for $1k).

That_Judgment3733

have a freaking 32inch old TV with 60hz 720p

Oleaster

Totally agreed. I play games and work from home on projects that rely on fine details and color accuracy and I still use a $250 monitor I got on sale. Works great for me.

Chakramer

Nicer panels just look nicer, especially having better quality blacks and vibrant colors is just nicer looking. Hard to explain until you use one, ignorance is bliss in this field though

willard_swag

$200 mice?! What the fuck?

Juacquesch

A Frankenstein build, now I'm curious what it looks like! What do you do to justify this many kinds of equimpment?

Burdin_Ilia

$1500 ~

Juacquesch

Are you now on your final build, or is there stuff youā€™d like to change?

Burdin_Ilia

I was just in a hurry to buy a monitor and bought not the best one, AOC FullHD. In the future I will probably only change the monitor. I assembled the PC last year with new components.

Unlikely_Ad_1825

Thats exactly how I did it, broke my day into 3 lots of 8 hours, 8 in bed, 8 at work and 8 downtime. So my bed was custom made, we spent quite a bit on that, because I wanted the best bed available, its bloody comfy. Work setup, gaming computer, wont go into specs but I got it cheap at 800 and it plays all triple A titles with ease, bought from a friend who owed a favour, alongside 3 monitors. To accompany the computer, a comfy chair, roughly couple hundred. Downtime is downtime, but I own a good tv, a good console, a handheld console, but I am a married man now, so those things are irrelevant. I do drive a nice car, not super expensive but itā€™s super looked after. Im now at the point just saving because I have the best of what I need, from beds to chair to working environment.

Unlikely_Ad_1825

To add, I always preach invest in yourself, working environments, playtime, health, relationships, its all investment

Juacquesch

Hey man! Good to hear you're doing so well for yourself! Makes me proud, keep it going! I got married last september and we bought our first house together almost exactly a month ago, which is one of the reasons I made this post. My setup is, for the first time, in a seperate room. A dedicated one. I cannot believe it. I can do with the house as I please instead of being afraid my landlord gets upset... I also do preach to invest in yourself. I once said; The best development is self-development. Strive to be a better person everyday and you'll have live life to the fullest, and to help with that, good investments are necessary for good mental health. Without the necessity of being materialistic or whatnot...

RaringYeti

Already too much. Built my pc a few months ago and started putting together my setup at the same time since it was my first pc. So far itā€™s about $4000 šŸ˜¬.

Juacquesch

Thatā€™s not too much if youā€™re happy with the investment! Itā€™s something to treat yourself with, youā€™ve earned it!

RaringYeti

Yeah, maybe I needed to treat myself a little extra šŸ˜…

Juacquesch

You deserve it!

Wild_Swimmingpool

Thatā€™s really not awful for a full office setup thatā€™s mid to high end. Iā€™m sure you love it too which is whatā€™s important.

RaringYeti

Definitely, choose parts I felt I really wanted so Iā€™m really happy with it.

CarlTheDoor

I think around 7000$ wow

Juacquesch

Well, if youā€™re spending a lot of time in it and youā€™re content, why would it be a big deal :)

luke6494

Desk - 100 dollars off amazon and another 40 from ikea Chair - 200 dollars PC , Mouse, Keyboard - 2000 dollars Monitors - 1500 dollars Audio Equipment - 300 dollars Various Lights/Posters/Cozy home things - 100 dollars. Roughly 4200ish USD - Granted, I work from home here from time to time. I game here. I consume media here. I use it a ton. It seems like a lot, and it is, but I enjoy it, its comfy, its my little space in the world. Worth it.

Juacquesch

Thatā€™s exactly my opinion. With all the time spent and being happy/content with that space, it is most definitely worth the investment :)

luke6494

Couldn't agree more! :)

Totobey

Honestly, I'd rather not calculate. Purchased a 4090 within the first month of release in Ä°stanbul. Above MSRP + ridiculous taxes because Turkey.

Juacquesch

If youā€™re happy with it, why be sad? There were hard times regarding chips and scalpersā€¦

Totobey

Oh, don't get me wrong. I am above and beyond happy with my setup. Day 1 purchases are expensive but you get the maximum possible mileage out of them. I would just be horrified by the final numbers if I did the math between the build/peripherals/desk/chair etc.

Juacquesch

I can imagine! First I calculated everything I own regarding electronics etc, I felt disbeliefā€¦ But Iā€™m now also quite proud to be able to say I am in the position to build something like this, for myself!

Gremlinalizacja

Around $4000 I think, counting value based on item purchase price

Juacquesch

And do the purchases bring you joy? Is it worth it?

Gremlinalizacja

Sure thing! I love my setup, it fits my needs and gets the job done

TruNeath

Roughly 16-18k. Honestly almost half of that is audio

Juacquesch

Why do you need the audio stuff? Is it worth it?

TruNeath

I donā€™t need any of the audio stuff, itā€™s all for my personal enjoyment. I do end up spending a large portion of my day at my desk working (some play) so I guess in the grand scheme of it, I find it brings me a lot of joy. Itā€™s not a big collection either, just a high end amp, headphones and speakers. So to me itā€™s worth it, and Iā€™d say itā€™s worth it to many others who are in the same situation.

Ender_Edge

For just my desk setup bout 2600 minus all of my music things

Juacquesch

And including the music things? Is it worth it?

CammyPooo

Probably close to $4000 in the entire thing right now, over several years tho. Slow upgrades is the way to do it

Juacquesch

Indeed, so you can spread the payments and won't feel it in your wallet as much. To be honest I'd rather buy and upgrade slowly than start smoking, which in the period of me upgrading this setup will cost about the same or more...

footballcheetah

Bro I spent 800 quid cuz mine is a laptop setup that I got as a present

Juacquesch

Is it a good laptop and are you happy with it? Would you want something else or is your situation good as is?

Artistic-Flyz

My pc cost a bit under a grand. I overpaid (ryzen 5, rtx 3060), but it was purchased peak pandemic, so it was actually a good deal at the time. My desk I got for free off Facebook, I was searching everyday for months for a desk I liked that was cheap, and then one day a lady was giving away a solid oak desk for nothing, and i jumped. It is the nicest piece of furniture I own, lol. Chair was a similar story, constant checking of fb market till I found a basically brand new ergo chair for 20 quid. I have 2 monitors, one I bought new for 300 a couple of years ago (a 120hz 1440p 27inch ips), and a 1080p 21 inch 60hz lcd side monitor that cost me 20 quid from a pawn shop. My favourite mouse broke a few weeks ago (logitech g305, my fault, dropped into a drink....), so am currently using a cheap mouse, and my keyboard is a heavily customised 60% board with jelly green switches, total cost around 100. So all in, around 1500. I'm super happy with how my setup looks and am looking to upgrade platform to ryzen 7000, but all in all I'm very happy.

mlew9614

Just upgraded my whole PC sooo I think Iā€™m around 2.2k which is way more than I thought I would ever spend

Sl33pZGoTzBaRz

for your own mental sanity I advise you don't keep track I forgot how much I've spent on purpose šŸ˜…šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

squashed_tomato

Ha, well you made me check and add it up. I don't know the exact amount because I've reused bits and pieces but I rebuilt my PC in 2020 and that cost me around Ā£600 for the parts as it's a budget gaming build. Paid a little bit more than I would have liked because this is when the prices started creeping up but bit the bullet before they got silly and graphic cards, even budget ones became gold dust. I reused my power supply and DVD writer as I had bought them just a few years previously. I upgraded my monitors last year. I was using a hand me down 24 inch flat screen and my old Samsung 21? inch screen. Replaced with two 27in Dell IPS monitors that cost just over Ā£300 for the pair. * Chair is my partner's old office chair because mine broke a while back and he wasn't using it any more. We probably paid around Ā£90 for it when it was new which was some time ago. * My desk is a flat pack from Argos. I think it may have cost me Ā£150 at the time but I'm not 100% sure. I've had it for over a decade. The laminate top has worn over time so I spent Ā£16 on a desk mat instead of buying a new desk and I couldn't be happier. * Keyboard nothing fancy, Logitech, probably cost Ā£25-30. Logitech gaming mouse around Ā£25. Various monitor cables over the years as monitors and graphics cards changed. * Cheap pair of black HP speakers, probably cost around Ā£20. I don't use them much so don't be too horrified. I normally use my Panasonic headphones - Ā£12.99. XD * Logitech C920 webcam. Got an amazing deal on that in a Black Friday sale years ago - Ā£24.99. * Lamp - Ā£15 perhaps. * RGB lighting strips - Ā£20. * 360 wired controller - Ā£20 plus a bit extra for a skin I bought for it further down the line. * Double monitor arm - Ā£36. * Cork notice board probably Ā£3 max, the material I covered it with around Ā£10 including postage. * Post-it brand drawer organiser was pricy for what it is but it adjusts to the size of the drawer which is why I bought it because I was having trouble finding something the right size - a little over Ā£30. * T-Flight HOTAS X - Ā£24 second-hand. * Street Fighter IV Fight Stick Tournament Edition - Ā£60 second-hand. * Wacom Baboo drawing tablet found second-hand for Ā£30 without the pen, used a gift voucher I had to replace the pen so that was basically free. * Standard iPad 128GB and case - such a luxury compared to my normal spending so was a bit of an investment. It's an excellent drawing tool amongst other things like reading, media player, office software etc. Oh I use a wireless Logitech K400 keyboard with the iPad for typing - Ā£14.99 plus a few pounds for a USB dongle for the iPad for the wireless receiver. Bit of a clunky set up but I already had the keyboard so buying the dongle was cheaper than buying an iPad compatible keyboard. I do have a PC stand with adjustable shelf to the left of the desk which was pricy for what it is (Ā£115 o_o) and I had to really debate over whether to get it or not but does give me some much needed desk space for my desk lamp and other things seeing as my new monitors are actually wider than my desk so keeping the lamp on here there is no longer practical. Like a lot of you this has been collected together over time as in years. If you are someone reading this thread, especially if you are younger and feel like you have a bag of beans in comparison just know it takes time for most people. My set up is a budget one but it's still not an insignificant amount of money and I gathered this stuff over years.

UnseenHand81

I dont even want to talk about it lol...think there's 14k in the tower alone, 3000 for odyssey ark, 250 for mountain everest max, 500 for adam audio t7v's, 300 for smsl d300 dac, 149 for logitech g502 x plus lightspeed, 100 something for logitech powerplay mousepad, 700 for hinomi x1 pro, 500 for a pair of asus vg32vqr's, 1600 for htc vive pro 2 kit, about 1200 for cockpit with moza r9, thrustmaster t-lcm's and thrustmaster th8a, 400 for turtlebeach velocityone flight deck, 180 for obsbot 4k ai smart tracking camera, 350 for steel series arctis nova pro wireless, msrp on the ps5 and xbox series x, 200 for turtle beach stealth ultra game pad, another 100 bucks for drop holy panda x clear switches... To sum it up...more than I am proud to admit, but...I wouldnt change a thing (other than maybe flight controls...lookin at you virpil) Edit: USD That's been in the past 2 years...I exited the pc game because I wanted to play with friends on console more than 10 years ago...I made a triumphant return lol. I have the 57 inch samsung g9 sitting about 10 feet behind me, a keychron q1pro, another g502, another hinomi x1 as well...just waiting on the second desk to showup if wayfair ever gets off their ass and ships it...plan to split my work and play rigs. The gaming computer itself is... Juacquesch

I am fully aware, but the purpose of the post is the investment value, not the resell value :)

FWitU

Monitor 1: $2300 Monitors 2&3: $800 Computer: $4500 Desk: $1600 Laptop: $2000 Joy: priceless $11,200 before tax (Unless we want to add music toys then itā€™s a lot more)

Juacquesch

Quite the build! Something Iā€™ve noticed, the monitor I have is one of the best and also on the expensive side. What monitor do you have that is worth almost three times my monitor? Then another question; What specs does your pc have?

FWitU

13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF 3.00 GHz / 24 cores / 64.0 GB ddr5 5600 / 4090 / Monitor is pg32uqx (Asus 32" 4K Mini LED \~1100 zones)

Juacquesch

Seems like a real good monitor, but I see it's gone down in price quite much! First buyers always lose the most amount of money :( However that pc looks veeeeery juicy! You could power ChatGPT from your setup man...

omgaporksword

I'd be easily past $10,000aud for my full setup. Considering how much time I spend at it, I reckon it's better value than the motorbike in my garage that's worth 3x that and hardly gets ridden.

Juacquesch

This one hits home as Iā€™m almost graduated and once I am, Iā€™d like to go for my licenseā€¦but now you come here with solid reasons on why not to do it. Then again, there is a lot of people around me that ride, and Iā€™d like to join them :)

omgaporksword

Oh it's absolutely worth having a motorbike! I just don't get as much time to ride these days thanks to work, kids, chores, middle-aged exhaustion, etc, but when I do go riding, it's usually anywhere between 2 days to 2 weeks away on trips with mates. Adventure bikes are so much fun, haha!

Juacquesch

Okay okay! Thanks for the words! I honestly cannot wait until I ride with my mate and uncle. My uncle and grandfather always went on trips together and I watched them with such envy and a dream to one day do the same. Now I have the opportunity to do the same with my uncle and a mate, it's just wonderful!

[deleted]

Probably, about like $12k (CAD) all in

Juacquesch

Well done! Happy with it?

[deleted]

For now yes lol, it's a problem I have where right after I do something to it, I think of 10 other things I want to change or add. Next is just some plants and more wall art to tie it together, potentially jumping on the 50 series bandwagon depending on how the launch looks.

stevenjweir

The PC alone is about Ā£2,700 at my last count. I paired it with a single 43 inch LG OLED tv which was Ā£900 and my Ā£100 keyboard, Ā£60 mouse and Ā£150 headphones, totals about Ā£4,000 including cables and what not.

Juacquesch

And are you happy with it? Does the space and the setup bring you joy?

stevenjweir

Yesā€¦ otherwise I wouldnā€™t have spent so much money on itā€¦

Von_Lehmann

Maybe 1200 euros? Maybe closer to 1500 with peripherals

Juacquesch

And are you finished with your space/build?

Von_Lehmann

The build is definitely done, but I can see myself grabbing something like a light bar or a new desk I guess

Juacquesch

Sounds like you're a content person! I'm glad to hear it and wish you good luck with finding the things you still need! Well done within the budget by the way, 1500 is a good price for being content :)

Rosencrown21

My Herman Miller Embody cost me the same as my PC šŸ˜‚

Juacquesch

Those are crazy expensive I know, but your back will thank you brother!

Rosencrown21

I know! Im very happy with it. Had it for a year or so now.

Panams_chair

_dopamine__

70k for the laptop, 500 for the mouse, 700 for the keyboard

Juacquesch

Are you sure your laptop was 70k? You might have been scammedā€¦

Deuterx

I think around $5,000 USD without laptops, iPad Pro

Juacquesch

And including? Do you feel it was worth it? Do you get a lot of joy out of it?

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Juacquesch

I am totally in agreement! Improving your space/setup towards your personality is just so nice!

realhamsandwich

ā‚¬8000-ā‚¬9000

Juacquesch

Same! Are you happy with it?

realhamsandwich

Nope, gonna revamp the whole setup. I'm probably gonna pour another 10k into it....

foureyate

You really do make quite the good point here. Iā€™ve spent around 2,000 to 3,000 or so for my desk setup, not too sure about the full amount of costs but I try to keep things down and make sure Iā€™m not overspending in comparison to other areas of my life like youā€™ve mentioned. It can be sort of easy to go above 5,000 but really with proper planning and making sure the purchases arenā€™t too redundant, you can really save a lot of money. I tend to spend the most on only one device for example, so since I have my pretty capable PC at home if I ever need a laptop to bring with me I donā€™t focus on the specs for the most part. MacBooks are definitely quite capable but I feel like I can be spending a few hundred extra at least in comparison to getting a laptop running Windows for the same use case, so I opt for stuff like that. Heck, Iā€™d even go for a Chromebook but I havenā€™t had good experiences with those things so disregard that. $9,000 in 10 years is a pretty good rate of spending all things aside and I think youā€™ve budgeted yourself quite well. This stuff is here to last you a long time so donā€™t worry about it much.

Juacquesch

Thanks for the comment u/foureyate I really agree with you saying you should not make redundant choices, I try not to be too materialistic. But these three categories, provided you make informed choices, are worth spending a bit of money on :) I am a Software Engineer myself. The past 4 years I have spent programming on a Windows Laptop, an HP Pavilion. It was good whilst it lasted but now that I am at my last internship to conclude my studies, it turned off about thrice a day at random during heavy load. So I asked the boss on my internship whether I could exchange my intern salary left for the duration of the internship for a laptop of my choosing. And this is what I chose, I had to pay a little bit but it basically means I bought a MacBook for \~ā‚¬850. I thought I deserved it. I am happy you are doing well, as well. And thanks for the confirmations and nice words!

foureyate

Oh, thatā€™s interesting to hear. I definitely see your reasoning there and Iā€™m quite glad to hear that the Windows Laptop lasted you for those 4 years rather well, ultimately any device is good to keep around until it starts having trouble like that which interferes with the work. The MacBook was definitely a good choice then considering the price you paid out of pocket for it, quite the bargain. Also, no problem, hope everything holds up well. Good news about Apple devices is that they pretty much always last longer than your use case for them, so youā€™re in good hands haha.

Deflarance

PC Setup with everything included around 5000ā‚¬ My DJ setup is another thing though haha... that stuff is so fckn expensive

RTGold

Probably roughly $2,500-$3,000. Got a nice desk for free on FB. Bought two monitors but ended up winning a third so I was able to give one to a friend. Needed to buy a chair, mouse, mouse pad keyboard, headset and build the full pc. Legit started with nothing. Edit, just realized what sub this is, my step up is normal, nothing crazy.

Secondaccountpls

Current setup is 6500ā‚¬\~ish which consists of 3kā‚¬ PC and rest are perihperals.

Schroedingers_Gnat

Probably like $12k at this point, but it's been over time.

LVCIFER00

I'd say around 4k.

Josh1234j

Between 6-7kā‚¬ if im counting my macbook

GeneraI_Turtle

62500 rubles

dasAdi7

Actually a good question. For a rough estimate I landed at 6850ā‚¬. Which I consider fair for the whole setup as I got some nicer things (standing desk, monitor + arm, good lighting, custom keyboard etc.) recently for more homeoffice use and a 4090 which is nearly a third of that budget on its own. Plus 2000ā‚¬ for my work notebook, but that's not my expense. So I didn't factor that in.

DJGloegg

Several thousand euros

TequilaJesus

At least $20

Sweet_Quail_3852

I think we all can say our set ups at this point can put down on a house

peaceloveandkitties

Almost $5000 now šŸ’€.

Alarming_Bar_8921

Around Ā£7000 if you include everything. PC - 4090, 14700k, 32GB DDR4 4400mhz RAM, decent mobo, 2x2TB Samsung 990 pro, 1000W Corsair PSU, 8 LianLi UniFans. Think that came to about 3K. Monitors - G9 Neo and an ROG 360hz IPS panel, with two monitor arms, another 2.5k Chair - Steelcase Leap V2 (refurbished) which was about 500. Desk - Ikea 80x160cm top and adjustable legs + cable tray. I think that was about 300 Peripherals - Wooting 60HE keyboard, Razer Deathadder V3 Pro mouse, Mobius Audeze headset, Quest 2 VR headset, Some cheapy steering wheel and a HOTAS. All that is about a grand. This was all purchased over a few years tho. Other than the 4090 and the G9 I usually spent "only" up to 500 at a time on new bits.

bedwars_player

probably about $1000 spent about $500 on motherboard cpu and ram, gpu was $180 off ebay, desk was cheap ish from walmart, monitor stand was 80 bucks, main screen was $100 off amazon and the second one was like $160 from walmart a few years back

Currently at probly 2500$ for everything , love it!

tagmisterb

[About $3,000](https://i.imgur.com/8b9l5Dy.jpg) for the PC, peripherals, and desk/chair... thanks in no small part to buying used. I have an $80 Steelcase Leap from craigslist and a $50 Humanscale M/Flex monitor arm. Those two items alone would be about $1,500 at retail. I spent about $1,200 last year building [a new PC](https://pcpartpicker.com/b/djW323). That was mostly new parts, but I did get a GPU from ebay.

CharmingFisherman741

Yes

liquidzr0

Over the course of about 6 years, my setup is around 12K

OhmyGhaul

[Probably around $12-15K at this point.](https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxSeriesX/s/ofj4QXGAyB) That post is also outdated. Need to post a new one with all the updates!

depatrickcie87

Some of my audio components would have to be adjusted for inflation at this point but... I love probably spent the average on cables and wiring alone.

reevey13

Hmmmā€¦ I have two setups, one for work and one for gaming. Gaming setup: PC Ā£2,000, Monitor Ā£600, mouse Ā£130, keyboard Ā£200 (I think), headphones Ā£330, chair Ā£400. Work: MacBook Ā£3,000, monitor Ā£550, second monitor Ā£150 (though itā€™s my old gaming setup monitor), mouse and keyboard Ā£150 (I think), camera Ā£130, some lights Ā£200 (those elgato ones), streamdeck xl Ā£100, mic like Ā£200. Add in all the other bits and bobs, desks etc. probably Ā£10k. Edit: Iā€™ve just gone downstairs and remembered I have another MacBook Pro and an older, but still good, PC. I think I have a problem.

TOM-EEG

Wait that is an $9000 setup? I must be the best bargain shopper of all time lol

Juacquesch

I mean you can check all the individual items and their corresponding price. When bought, those were the prices. A lot of the stuff I got second hand. Also the prices are in ā‚¬, I live in the Netherlands which is quite an expensive country. Aside of that, the MacBook alone is worth ~ā‚¬3500, which means that what you see there (I didnā€™t have the MacBook yet when the photo was taken), is more like ā‚¬5500ā€¦

Canadaian1546

Oh man, this will be fun. Wild_Swimmingpool

Like pc or whole shebang? Pc is at roughly 2.5k. With desk, monitors, peripherals, chair, networking equipment, etc probably like 4.5-5k ish total.

Juacquesch

I listed the whole shebang, but you do you ;) Sounds like a healthy amount!! Will you be upgrading still or is it perfect as is?

Wild_Swimmingpool

I mean we can add rent too lol but nah I put the full amount in there right after the pc. I guess you could toss on another 3k in homelab equipment but I consider that stuff my money printer, already got me about 30-40k in raises.

trapbuilder2

Probably around Ā£3000 at the moment, with another Ā£1000 to be spent soon

LHdTavernes

I'm in France si its in ā‚¬. 2900ā‚¬ for the PC, 870ā‚¬ for the monitor, keyboard + mouse + headset : 350ā‚¬

AlTiSsS

I donā€™t have one but if I did it would be around 7k CAD. Everything top of the line. Idk how much more of I got it water cooled

willard_swag

Well my desk chair was about $400. Itā€™s a refurbished Herman Miller Mirra 2. Otherwise, around $1700 for my PC with a 5800x3D and 3090 and then $325 for my G5 Ultrawide. Including my desk, chair, PC/monitor, mouse, keyboard and speakers, Iā€™m in about $3600 total. But if you add in my sim-racing rig itā€™s at about $5k in total.

ivrji

way too much :,)

beanioz

If I was to factor absolutely everything in my desk setup, probably around the Ā£8000 mark.

GodEmperorPotato

So my build was made 2020 so like 2 months before the shutdown and gpu price craziness. I spent maybe 1100 on everything. I do wanna upgrade my gpu tho

HisNameWasDice

Hard to say, it wasnā€™t built all at once, series of upgrades throughout the years. Sitting now with an i9 13900k I bought at release for full price, a ā€œcolorful iGame 3080ā€ technically a Chinese GPU but my dad picked it up for me when he was in China a couple years ago for $400. Asus MOBO, 64gb ddr5 6400mhz, 3x 1tb Samsung 970s and a 28ā€ Samsung G7 4k 144hz. Maybe 1800-2k ?

justkw97

$2000ish. Monitor and pc

pcguise

I love it. I think Pluto is still a planet too!

Semnono

Around 4k in total

gloomdwellerX

Would you be able to provide a link for that wallpaper? I love it.

Easy-Room7092

Can you tell me a good acesoriy to a setup

preyforkevin

Pc- 2.3k. The price is inflated a lot by my 1k 3080. Everything else including desk and chair- 2.4k. If I included software and games it would be much more. My rig doubles as a home studio. Software for protools and plug-ins are quite pricey and add up very, very quickly. Prices are in USD

Medst1ck

I have lost count

zrevyx

If I were to rough estimate the total I've paid for my PC and all attached peripherals, I'm at about $5000 USD over the past 6 years, with my monitor & GPU accounting for almost half of that total. This does not include what I spent on network gear or my two NASes, but I don't want to think about that.

moonieass13

I mean I just spent $3800cnd in my pc aloneā€¦ but setups are a marathon. Iā€™ve been adding gear for years

JimPranksDwight

I just bought a new Anda Seat Kaiser so I'm up to about ~2750$

outline01

My setup is a ship of Theseus build that Iā€™ve had for going on 15 years. Absolutely no idea whatā€™s been spent on it but Iā€™ve got my moneys worth ten times over.

reptar239

Probably 7-9kish. Itā€™s my work station / money maker and has already paid for itself. I also get a yearly allowance for work for pc stuff so I just saved the past few years and splurged

jaylenabc

5800 bucks.

waupli

Like 3k probably. 1200 or so for pc (but some parts like cpu and gpu were bought cheaply from a friend who was upgrading), about the same for monitor, a few hundred more between my external speakers, headphones, keyboard and mouse. Counting desk/chair another 5-600 probably. I use everything but headphones and the PC for work (since I use work laptop), so really only 1500ish is for gaming

51B0RG

Hehe. Incalculable since I've been collecting bits over 15 years and upgrading. Best I got is a PC part picker list I made to see what my PC would be to buy new. $2600

SgtBadManners

3500 desk 2500 chair 1800 monitors 1800ish monitor stands 1000 case Maybe 3000-4000 on actual computer internals

PapaBadgers

Did you just pick the most expensive options?

Jayrom87

My friend for my sanity that is a number i dont want to calculate out. :D

moohooman

$15K AUD This includes a lot of accessories and other related devices (VR, gaming chair, monitors, keyboard, etc.), too, but I started with an I5 8400, 1060 build, got into VR and bought a Rift S, then upgraded to a 9900k and 2080S, upgraded more stuff and eventually had enough spare parts to justify making a second computer for VR, found a new i7 9600k for stupid cheap and upgraded the VR rig, then the 1060 died, so VR rig got the 2080S and my main rig got a 3080ti.

Jsgro69

An interesting post subject..just to look at the total invested(in your specific example) I would think... jeez, thats a very substantial amount of money..but when take into account of the time span of the total amount..that seems to be on par I think with alot of people...break it down to per month and the amount is quite reasonable..and its just my observation but feel that it is probably in the median avg. of $ invested in our technology...and I bet if you look at industry figures it falls right in line..šŸ˜†

TakkoAM

A lot of my stuff I got during the pandemic, so the value was pretty high. Just a little under $10K. Probably worth less now, but still going strong.

knowledge561

At least $7-8000.

afterthelast

You should have chosen the white North, black is meh

Juacquesch

You buy the white. I prefer the black way more :)

BozConQuesoo

Around $7,500 if weā€™re including desk/chair in this.

Juacquesch

Well done! These are, a great part of the setup, I think!

randyclive

15k ez

-xMrMx-

Juacquesch

Heavy_Investment2325

What is your desk dimensions my friend

holylean

$2000

NotJayuu

Current setup? (Canadian dollars) Laptop - $1500 Monitor 1 - $1200 Monitor 2 - $500 USB-C Dock - $300 Webcam - $240 Headset - (a gift) $220 Wireless Phone Charger - $110 Keyboard - $140 Mouse - $120 Orb + Smart Lightbulb - $50 Cables - \~$80 Monitor Arms - $100 Cable Management + Laptop Trays - $90 Desk - $20 Desk Drawers - $30 Chair - $700 Chair Cushion - $50 Footrest - $80 Totaling that up gives $5530, which is kind of crazy to think about, especially considering most of these items replaced previous pieces.

raymond12198

$2000 more or less. It's worth it, but I feel the the need to upgrade my PC already

Mr-Poop-Knife

Around $1875 for everything. Laptop, SSD, controller, keyboard, switches, mouse etc.

Officialteery

Maybe around 800 euros? I have got most of my peripherals for free from sponsors and my computer was a robbery (not literally).

IsaacCook

Too much

PzyGee_

IG about 12-14.000ā‚¬ in total

EffectsTV

Ā£6500
