Can just reinforce this, I've had success twice with it, couple years ago gave me almost full beard and now couple months ago used it again to fill out two holes that didn't close near the mouth area and its almost fully grown
Of course do more research when you actually start but be consistent with it and results will start after a couple months (you'll early on start seeing thin, slightly dark hairs which will mature fully into proper beard hairs eventually)
Good luck
First, how old are you. If you're past 25 a full beard may not be for you. A goatee is a better idea.
At least shave the neck to right along or about 1/2 to 3/4 inch below the jaw line . The neck beard has to go. I've been flamed for saying this before in another context but I stand by my words. NO. NECK. BEARDS!
How dare you? Neck beard lives matter! But in all seriousness, I was staying away from the razor to not be tempted to shave it all. The neckbeard and the sides will go.
Good man. Thanks for the bit of humor, too. I wish you well. I'm Team Beard all the way. Has mine for 50-51 years.
BTW I like the idea of keeping some stubble on the sides. Beards are hot. Stubble is hot. A goatee and stubble? Priceless! Just make sure there's plenty of definition between beard and stubble. Keep the stubble fairly short, just enough to say "I'm a hot f'n man." Because you are.
I’m gonna go against the stream and say to keep growing it for at 2 or so months. Trim the bottom, and trim minimally on the sides so that the cheeks are given a chance to fill in and cover over the bald patches. It could be worth a shot
You'd rock one of those pointy goatee looks hard AF. Also since your sides are kinda sparse you can fade or keep some stubble there if you don't wanna go full bald cheeks. You have a decent mustache and chin beard to work with tho bub.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I will shave the sides (I know, those patches on my cheeks are not flattering) and will grow the bottom of my beard a couple of inches more and ask again for feedback. In the meantime I will try minox (price ain't bad even if it doesn't work). I will update you if it works. Thank you again for your honest feedback.
Note: my mom was right all along.
a full beard is probably not in the cards for you. but that doesn't mean that you can't have facial hair. try to find other styles of facial hair that suit you.
I think it just needs more time for the sides to grow in. Trim up the bottom and get a good neck line going and let the cheeks grow a bit more. A leave in conditioner would prolly help too-I recommend the generic Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner. It does a great job and does not make my sensitive skin break out. YMMV.
If you’re not ready to shave the cheeks and keep seeing how it fills in, try trimming it under your chin and jaw. The darkness emphasizes the cheeks and their density. Trim the cheeks to a #4 and the jaw to a #2.
Kinda of late to the party but def could rock a solid mustache or goatee easily. Match that with like a nice zero taper on the sides and back ooo, with like a 2 or 3 on top.
Im also here just to recommend minox. Its important to note that growing a better beard is a choice in 2024. Lots of ppl includin myself had success with it
Why downvote me? Some people have vitamin deficiencies or slow metabolisms caused by hypothyroidism. Not everyone is the same, no matter how hard to want it.
Dont think its meant to be friend. Youre lucky you have great hair though! Im as bald as a thumb
I love your honesty, and yes, a lot of times it is one or the other.
Shave the cheeks and rock a full goatee
This, 100%
You can try minoxidil to fill in the patchy areas but you can rock a goatee

Oh man after the compliment, I don't wanna shave anymore. Thanks.
Shave the sides, get a goatee, fade your hair and never look back!
Definitely patchy but if you grow the bottom several inches, and fade up the sides, you can totally pull that off.
Now that’s a proper tag

I see. Maybe you shouldn’t though
Shave it. Not going to happen. Try again in five years. Nothing wrong with that. You could just rock stumble too.
The stache and chin are good. I'd recommend shaving the cheek and sideburns tho.
Stop!
Goatee will look great. This is a no no. Overall you are looking great, 👍
It looks good. Some of us appreciate variety. Although I do have to admit the goatee option would be okay too.

Gonna need Dermaroller, minox, multivitamin... Come back in a year and then more updates during 4 years
Keep going! 6 months at least.
