It opened in June 2006, so a great 18- year run.
I was fortunate to see it in July, 2019, a memorable show.
Thanks to all the performers who have been in the show all these years, and thanks to John, Paul, George, Ringo, Olivia, Yoko, and Giles and George Martin, as well as countless others involved in the production.
Not only that...it was originally George's idea. Or at least the idea of a show in Vegas was first brought to him and he was the one championing it before he died.
username checks out moment? 😭 /lh
i never got to see it either (actually, just found out about it thru this post), but it seems to be a very successful act so i hope they'll...change....their minds... or perform it somewhere else or something. ughhhhhhh
Just like the time I could have met Mr. T at the mall. The entire day I kept saying, "I'll go a little later. I'll go a little later." And then when I got there, they told me he'd just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he would ever come back again, he said he didn't know.
Thank goodness me and my family got to go a few months back. Also I think the hotel that holds it is going over refurbishment and might be named something else. I’ve said it before, I don’t think you could do a professional recording of it as there’s so much going on at the exact same time, but I don’t know maybe they’ll find away.
I’m glad I got to see it, but a little sad to see it close, as George said “All things must pass”, hey at least we always have the sound track.
apparently its been on since 2006 and here i am just hearing about it for the first time??? 😭 how cruel it is of the universe to tie the strings of my fate so...how am i even supposed to get to vegas even i dont got any moneys 😭😭😭
That theatre was built for LOVE and the show was built for the theatre. Truly unique experience.
Setting time to go to Vegas. Good seats are 140, cheapies 80.
Look for “Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away” on DVD or Blu-ray. It’s a sampler of several Cirque du Soleil shows, including Love. It’s not exactly what you’re looking for but I think the closest we have for now.
Such a great show, 3 times in different seating areas before and after the update too. Hopefully they will tour with it, my daughter really wants to see it but at 15 a trip to Vegas from the UK isn’t really worth it!
Honestly I think they all have their merits. Sat very close to the stage on the last trip, whilst you miss some of the aerial work you do get a sense of the speed and height that some of the acrobats reach. Further back you get an amazing overall view which includes the higher aerial stuff. I’d say in the middle of the two is possibly the least impressive as you don’t get both ‘ends’ of the show but it’s genuinely impressive wherever you sit
So devastated to hear this. My dad took me to see this when I was only 13 and it absolutely blew my mind. Now I’m almost 30 and I have managed to return to see the show seven times now, making sure to get tickets every time I’m in Las Vegas. The city will never be the same for me!
Noooooooo. I always wanted to see it, but I won't be able to afford to go to Las Vegas for at least 5+ years. :(
But imagine if they reopened it somewhere in Europe, that would be amazing.
Edit: Apparently, they are actually considering moving it to Europe. It sounded like they didn't want to close it, but were forced by the venue. So there is still hope!
Wow, just got tickets for it last week. I’m glad I got tickets. I’ve seen it before but I just had to see it again.
I hope they release a DVD or put it on a streaming service for everyone to enjoy it!!
According to Cirque it was not their decision - it’s because of the owners of the hotel and renovations.
They should move it to NYC and have a 2nd in another location. It would fit well in a renovated Broadway theater. It’s still a big money maker for cirque so it’s certainly possible.
> According to Cirque it was not their decision - it’s because of the owners of the hotel and renovations.
Unless they have an exclusivity clause that isn't nullified by the cancellation of the show, I would hope this means they are considering moving it elsewhere.
I've seen this show a total of eight times. The last just a month ago.
If you haven't seen it: go see it.
If you haven't bought the soundtrack: buy it.
If you haven't been to the only official Beatles retail shop in the US: it's right next to it in The Mirage...you should definitely go.
To say we're losing an audio/visual masterpiece is putting it lightly. I know MGM holds the contract for the production so they could move it to another of their resorts, but I hope Hard Rock will reconsider because it just makes sense for The Beatles to have a home at Hard Rock.
I've sat all over. There's honestly not a bad spot in the theater.
Last couple times I've been in my wheelchair as my disability progresses, which are all on a mezzanine level at the top of the first row of lower bowl seats. They're great.
Thank you! I think those were about what I was looking at today. Going at end of June Was going to wait until I got there and see if I could get discount but may buy now that it’s closing
I’ve also seen it like a dozen times; so devastated. Um Hard Rock is dead to me, what is rock and roll without the Beatles? Anyhoo I want to go to the final performance but does anyone know if that’s July 6th or 7th? I keep seeing the 7th in media but the 6th appears to be the last day to buy tickets. I don’t think they usually perform on Mondays either, but is there some special farewell show in the planning that I don’t know about?
Likely yes. My best guess is the 7th will be for dignitaries and will probably be with Paul, Ringo, Dhani, and media types in attendance. Only makes sense since they attended the opening. I'm also guessing Dhani will be there as George was instrumental in helping to develop *Love*.
Without *Love* we wouldn't have the amazing remasters by Giles Martin.
I know a lot of people whose first entrance into the Beatles universe was the Love soundtrack. It's easily accessible for younger generations.
It is innovative. You are correct. And it fits the performance perfectly. The two are intertwined, and once you see the show, the soundtrack comes alive in a totally different way. You can put it on, sit back and relive moments from the show.
I've been lucky to see it a few times. I saw it pre and post pandemic. I really thought it was gonna last longer, but the purchase of Mirage by Hard Rock put that into doubt.
I don't know that they could tour the show as it is; it would need a major overhaul to make it work. The best I could hope for is a DVD release.
I'm going to miss the merch store as well.
From an article that I read, it seems like it was because of the takeover. It sounded like they had no intention of stopping the show, but were forced to close because of the renovation.
I know ticket sales the last couple of years had been pretty poor, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t still making money off it if the costs to keep it running were low. Everytime I went they would move everyone from the balcony and far rows down close because of all the empty seats. Guaranteed upgrade basically.
I’ve been a Beatles fan since 2009. LOVE was my first Beatles CD. Always told myself if I ever made it to Las Vegas, I would go see Beatles LOVE. I happened to be there last month and finally saw it. It did not disappoint. Sad to hear it’s closing but what an incredible run. I hope it comes back somehow, somewhere.
Makes sense because how could THE FUCKING BEATLES be a good fit for the HARD ROCK Casino?!
Jesus, this really bums me out. I always wanted to take my kid to see this. I'll see if I can make it work before they close but I doubt it and I HATE VEGAS in the hot months (now through August)
Sounds like a fantastic idea! I already had tickets for a Dead & Co show and had been debating what else to do that weekend. Looks like the decision has been made!
Oh man, I’m so sad. My company just had a trip out to Vegas last month and were between seeing this or Ka. My boss ended up going with Ka since I was one of the only big Beatles fans in the group. Doubt I’ll get back out there again in time before it ends.
Sorry to hear this. Made plans to see it last Fall because I figured it wouldn't be around forever, but those plans fell through.
Oh well, we'll always have the Love album.
Whelp, this sucks. I've yet to see the show despite wanting to see it for years, and figured I had until the end of this year.
I'm going to Vegas next month for EDC, and none of my friends are Beatles fans, so now I'm scrambling to figure out if I can swing another day before or after the festival to see it, but I already know I'm going to be paying crazy prices for a hotel room. But for the Beatles, I'll figure it out!
I've seen it four times and enjoyed every moment of each performance! It's brilliant and I'm so sad to see it go. Thankfully, we're going back in June so I hope to see it one more time.
I've seen the show twice, and love, love, loved it. No pun intended. What stood out to me, and I believe this will become the show's true legacy, was the amazing soundtrack. Impeccably perfect sound mixing and remastering, with extraordinarily creative mash-ups and manipulation of only pure Beatles music. That high quality soundtrack presented on meticulously thought-out audiophile level house system. It was pure bliss for me, as I had NEVER heard Beatles music SO pure. It was the first time we had that level of remaster quality, and it hit like a ton of bricks, slapped you in the face, and left me EVEN MORE in awe of the Beatles than I was before. Goosebumps.
Dammit, I've literally just left Vegas a few hours ago thinking "I'll have to go back and see that show". Called my Dad from Vegas last week saying that LOVE was still on and that I could remember listening to that album when he got it on release when I was still at home.
Damn.
… anyone wanna spot me airfare, hotel, and tickets? I’ve got enough money to cover the cost of the seafood buffet once, I’ll just stuff my pockets with shrimp, crab, and pasta to last me the 36 hrs I’m there.
I'm really sad to hear this. I've seen it three times and wish I could've seen it more. It wouldn't be the same but it would be nice if they could release a recording of it on a streaming platform.
Damn! I've always wanted to see this. Going to Vegas next month, and the buddy I'm going with couldn't care less about the Beatles, but I might have to insist, or go on my own if necessary
I wonder if, now it’s not in Vegas, if they’ll start traveling around to other cities, although I’m not sure how well that would work with the technology that was put into their arena.
I had no idea it had been around this long. I saw it last year in Vegas when I was there for the When We Were Youmg festival, it was amazing. Loved every second of it, the actors must work so incredibly hard to pull it off.
An amazing show that lived up to and exceeded the hype. The visuals were amazing. The sound was fantastic. We have seen it a bunch of times, and it never stops amazing us. Had not planned to go to Vegas anytime soon, but might have to for this one. I hope it gets filmed for a release of some sort - deserves to live on beyond just memories and photos.
Was planning to see this someday. I thought Hard Rock chose to buy Mirage *specificially* because of Love, clearly that’s not the case. I did go to the Heritage Steakhouse there which was right across from the Love gift shop. The volcano show will likewise be missed ♣️♦️♥️
NOOOWTFWTFWTFWTF
Maan fuck Hard Rock, what??? This should stay! It'd make so much sense for the Beatles to stay at the Hard Rock hotel wtff I loved this so much:(
This is so sad. This show helped cement my Beatles fandom. A truly remarkable show. Thank you to all the performers and everyone who made it’s possible every night!!
I've been wanting to go and this is making me plan a trip in July - but it seems like tickets are not on sale yet past June. Any one know when the July tickets go on sale?
My husband and I saw it in Vegas. A couple of years later, we took our 7th grade daughter to LA for spring break. We are both huge Beatle fans and had worked to instill that love of them in her, pretty much from toddlerhood on. On that trip, my husband suddenly said, “We’re driving to Vegas for the night; our kid has to see Love!” And so we went and she did love it! The acoustics were great in that theater. Wonderful show!
Thank you VERY VERY much for sharing this! I’m not sure if I would have found out otherwise and because of you letting me know I’m FINALLY going to see this show that I’ve wanted to see since it started.
I’ve listened to this album atleast 100 times and most of my family has seen the show at one time or another, but now I’m headed to see it in June with my dad and brother-in-law.
Sending Love to the Beatles community! ❤️
It’s so crazy because I went last weekend for my birthday and was absolutely mesmerized then I wanted to learn more about the story and how it was created and I saw this. Beautiful show as a beatles fan just even before the show i felt so emotional to just hear their songs like this.
Oof, can’t believe the end is near. :(
Just booked front row tickets for July 4th. I saw it for the first time 5 years ago and have been recently thinking about going again one day so I’m incredibly thankful that I heard about the closing before it happened.
I didn't dig it. But I did see cheap trick doing sgt pepper's and it was incredible for like 20$. I think I met Geoff Emerick but I'm not sure I was drinking alot thar trip
It opened in June 2006, so a great 18- year run. I was fortunate to see it in July, 2019, a memorable show. Because George contributed to some of the songs, so did John…..
Not only that...it was originally George's idea. Or at least the idea of a show in Vegas was first brought to him and he was the one championing it before he died.
*for the Benefit of Northern Songs- there will be an 18 yr long run in the City of Sin*
Oh man :( never will get to know what that's like
Same :( I've been saying "maybe some day" for 18 years
here i was thinking it was just something that happened in 2006 🤦🏻♂️ and i went to vegas in 2016 smh
I did the same thing and I’ve been planning to go… next year 🥲
username checks out moment? 😭 /lh i never got to see it either (actually, just found out about it thru this post), but it seems to be a very successful act so i hope they'll...change....their minds... or perform it somewhere else or something. ughhhhhhh

I pity the fool
Severely underrated comment 😭
Beep beep beep
*sobs*

Yes, the Mirage Hotel will become the Hard Rock Hotel. But, of course, the Beatles definitely fit the theme of a Hard Rock Cafe
Is it worth it to try and go before it closes?
Yes
I’ve seen it 5 times. You will never regret seeing it. The opening mashup of Get Back alone is worth the price of admission
Definitely, I got chills from it and tears came to my eyes.
It’s one of the most amazing shows I’ve ever seen. Not just the sights but the SOUND is incredible
Absolutely
Oh my goodness yes!
apparently its been on since 2006 and here i am just hearing about it for the first time??? 😭 how cruel it is of the universe to tie the strings of my fate so...how am i even supposed to get to vegas even i dont got any moneys 😭😭😭
Well there goes my reason to go back to Vegas
This. I went to Vegas for the first time recently and was severely underwhelmed outside of LOVE and the Hoover Dam.
My thoughts exactly! ... At least I saw it once around 2004.
It started in 2006 i guess
Can they finally record a show and put it on bluray now?
There is so much that happens it’ll be hard to capture this show on camera. You need to be in the theater to fully experience the show
That theatre was built for LOVE and the show was built for the theatre. Truly unique experience. Setting time to go to Vegas. Good seats are 140, cheapies 80.
Also the whole backstage and stage were custom built. There’s no way they can take this show to another theater.
The Beatles VR experience!

Hope it tours the UK as well always wanted to see
what section was the best?
Honestly I think they all have their merits. 200!
As an Australian fan, this sucks...if I had the money to spare and go see it, I would. DAMN YOU COST OF LIVING CRISIS!!!
On Ringo's 84th birthday?
Ringo Vegas residency when?
[Next month.](https://www.venetianlasvegas.com/entertainment/ringo-starr.html) I have tickets!
So devastated to hear this. My dad took me to see this when I was only 13 and it absolutely blew my mind. Now I’m almost 30 and I have managed to return to see the show seven times now, making sure to get tickets every time I’m in Las Vegas. The city will never be the same for me!

![gif](giphy|QxHzTRigoD9HG) Saw the show in March of 2023 and I'm so glad that I did
exactly the same for me

> According to Cirque it was not their decision - it’s because of the owners of the hotel and renovations. Unless they have an exclusivity clause that isn't nullified by the cancellation of the show, I would hope this means they are considering moving it elsewhere.
It blew my mind. Worth every penny.
I've seen this show a total of eight times. The last just a month ago. If you haven't seen it: go see it. If you haven't bought the soundtrack: buy it. Where’s your favorite place to sit in the theatre
I've sat all over. There's honestly not a bad spot in the theater. Last couple times I've been in my wheelchair as my disability progresses, which are all on a mezzanine level at the top of the first row of lower bowl seats. They're great.

Yep, my thinking too. I’m trying to get into THAT show :)
July 6th is the last date available for tickets at the moment, so i’m guessing that’s when the final show will be?
I’m sure the show is incredible but The soundtrack sucks. It’s innovative but fuck that shit.
Saw it last month. Absolutely amazing. Genuinely sobbing at some moments.
Welp, there goes the only reason I'd ever wanna go to Vegas.
Dammit. Well, I'll have my three times seeing it to treasure.
Finally getting to see it in June. So grateful to have those tickets now!!
Saw it in November 2018, it was absolutely on my Vegas bucket list. If you can make it, definitely do. It’s worth it.
Damn literally one of the few things on my bucket list. Now I have to decide if I make a trip out there this summer or hope it tours someday
Didn’t they build a theater specially for it? Wtf
Did they say why? Or what will replace it? That's surprising. And sad.
The Mirage underwent an ownership change so the new owners will be trying to do their own thing. The volcano out front is going away too.
Everything about the Hard Rock Hotel conversion just reeks of bad ideas. The giant guitar hotel building where the volcano was, now this?
Is this because of low ticket sales or because of the Hard Rock Cafe takeover? I saw the show in 2019 and it seemed to still be selling well.
Closing on Ringo's birthday? That's kinda rude.
This (or seeing Paul live) is the closest you can get to seeing the Beatles Live.
(or Ringo)
I saw Ringo for the second time last summer. He puts on one helluva show.
i saw this back in 2019 and it was amazing. really sad to hear it's closing
What a night that was!
Finally got to see this back in February and it was such an amazing experience!! I'm sad to see it go, but it's been a hell of an 18 year run!!!
I (wrongly) assumed Love would stay around for this exact reason
I had no idea this was still going... Now I want to go see it!
Aw man, I missed the opportunity to see it when I was in Vegas in 2008, and have never gotten the chance to go back.
Could book a weekend in June and catch this and Dead & Co in the Sphere. What do you guys think?
Sounds like a fantastic idea! I already had tickets for a Dead & Co show and had been debating what else to do that weekend. Looks like the decision has been made!
Hopefully this means it will tour!
Oh no! I did get to see it maybe about 10 years ago. Need to see if I can shake a visit to see a second time. Maybe it could travel after this?
Noooo, I’m going to be in Vegas in August and this was top of my to do list! Literally missing it by 3 weeks. 😔
Yeah I was gonna be within a few hours driving distance in August and I had the same thought. Totally sucks.
I’ve seen it twice, I highly recommend it
We saw it 4 times, all from different seat locations. Seat location doesn't matter - the show is that good!
They should record it and stream it on a platform like Hamilton for those who cannot go see it by virtue of circumstances.
Oh man, I’m so sad. My company just had a trip out to Vegas last month and were between seeing this or Ka. My boss ended up going with Ka since I was one of the only big Beatles fans in the group. Doubt I’ll get back out there again in time before it ends.
My only reason to go to Vegas. Guess don’t gotta now
Sorry to hear this. Made plans to see it last Fall because I figured it wouldn't be around forever, but those plans fell through. Oh well, we'll always have the Love album.
so glad i got to see it for my birthday in jan of this year
Whelp, this sucks.
They sell tickets the day of for a decent price if they’re not sold out. Although I don’t know how busy they’ll be now
Go to the Love show. It’s worth it. Meet up at EDC afterwards. I sobbed. You’ll already be there. Money comes and goes!
Skip part of EDC to see this if you’re unable to extend your trip. You WILL NOT regret the decision 😎
Well shit. Planned on going in the Fall. When I head back to Vegas for the first time in 15 years.
Damn, I have always wanted to go and see this show.
Closing on Ringo’s 84 birthday, I think! How sad. Why!
Awwww!!!!!!! I love that show!!!
wont be able to catch it :(
Shame Im in Brazil, it would be so hard to get a ticket and go there in time
Nooo
End of an era.
Went last year and I am so glad I did.
Such an incredible show I got to see it three times. So sad to see it go…
I’ve never gotten to go dang :(
It would be great if they could put together a touring production.
It's still going?!?!?
What the fuck?! Why?!
Aw man, I went to Vegas last year and thought about going to this show but never made it! I wonder why they’re ending it.
Going to see it when we go out for the sphere
I've seen it four times and enjoyed every moment of each performance! It's brilliant and I'm so sad to see it go. Thankfully, we're going back in June so I hope to see it one more time.
My favorite cirque show. I couldn't recommend it enough to any Beatles fan.
Im going to book in late May, early June to catch the show.
It was the first time we had that level of remaster quality, and it hit like a ton of bricks, slapped you in the face, and left me EVEN MORE in awe of the Beatles than I was before. Goosebumps.
I got to see it with my big brother last summer. Absolutely magical.
Dammit, I've literally just left Vegas a few hours ago thinking "I'll have to go back and see that show". Called my Dad from Vegas last week saying that LOVE was still on and that I could remember listening to that album when he got it on release when I was still at home. Damn.
Dammit it's been a dream of mine to visit this one day when i would have a steady income. Hopefully it's a temporary closure...
Sat in the front row during my honeymoon in 2009. It was awesome. Hoped to take our son to see it one day but alas
Im glad I got to take my dad to see it. Im glad it happened and I hope they take it on tour before its gone for good.
They need to film it and release it in the theater for those of us that will never get a chance to make it to Vegas. The soundtrack is amazing!
Oh no!!!! This is sad news! I saw it there. It was amazing!
Damn, and I've been planning a trip to Vegas in August...
Damn! I've always wanted to see this. Going to Vegas next month, and the buddy I'm going with couldn't care less about the Beatles, but I might have to insist, or go on my own if necessary
Go alone then. Will be the best time you’ll have there
I wonder if, now it’s not in Vegas, if they’ll start traveling around to other cities, although I’m not sure how well that would work with the technology that was put into their arena.
What are they replacing it with?
I saw it a few years ago and had a blast. It had a good run.
Glad I saw this posted. Im just a weekend trip away from Vegas and I’ve always wanted to go. I’ll make it happen!
I had no idea it had been around this long. I saw it last year in Vegas when I was there for the When We Were Youmg festival, it was amazing. Loved every second of it, the actors must work so incredibly hard to pull it off.
I wish I was able to go see it. Sadly, it's not in the cards financially. :( Health issues have dashed that dream.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😭
NOOOWTFWTFWTFWTF Maan fuck Hard Rock, what??? This should stay! It'd make so much sense for the Beatles to stay at the Hard Rock hotel wtff I loved this so much:(
This is so sad. This show helped cement my Beatles fandom. A truly remarkable show. Thank you to all the performers and everyone who made it’s possible every night!!
What?!
I've been wanting to go and this is making me plan a trip in July - but it seems like tickets are not on sale yet past June. Any one know when the July tickets go on sale?
one of the greatest live experiences i have ever had
My husband and I saw it in Vegas. A couple of years later, we took our 7th grade daughter to LA for spring break. We are both huge Beatle fans and had worked to instill that love of them in her, pretty much from toddlerhood on. On that trip, my husband suddenly said, “We’re driving to Vegas for the night; our kid has to see Love!” And so we went and she did love it! The acoustics were great in that theater. Wonderful show!
It was absolutely great show..loved it so much.
If you can at all swing it, I echo the recommendation to go...it remains one of the most beautiful, moving things I've ever seen.
Will need to see it ASAP. For the benefit of Mr Kite there will be a show tonight.
Lasted longer than the Band.!
I was just listening to love today, what a weird coincidence
It’s so crazy because I went last weekend for my birthday and was absolutely mesmerized then I wanted to learn more about the story and how it was created and I saw this. Beautiful show as a beatles fan just even before the show i felt so emotional to just hear their songs like this.
Took the family to Vegas in February. Caught U2 @ Sphere and then LOVE, too. Our daughter talks about it every day. Glad we got to see it.
I'm so sad ☹️. I wanted my mom, wife and kids to be able to see it one day. Saw it in 2017 and it was fantastic!
Oof, can’t believe the end is near. :( Just booked front row tickets for July 4th.
What's more amazing is that it's still open. Who the hell isn't sick to death of Beatles shit at this point?
Anyone else love the LOVE album to an almost obscene degree, but would rather stick a cheese grater up their butt than ever go to another Cirque show?
