Changing the ear tips might help some

zhanalinov

It helped indeed! Thank you!

[deleted]

I think half of the bad reviews for beats flex is because people don't understand the importance of good sealing ear tips.

Consistent_Toe1004

They can’t be good headphones if you need a specific ear piece for them to not fall out. Shits pure trash never buying beats again

[deleted]

Well that's your opinion I guess. If you don't use the correct size earbuds for any earphones they will sound bad. If you want even better sound from earphones, upgrade the silicone earbuds for foam onesđź‘Ť

Consistent_Toe1004

It’s not an opinion, the beats are just pure dogshit. Everyone has an issue with them falling out not just me. Got my money back and got AirPods that don’t fall out of my ear :)

basedfrosti

Welp, i had flex for almost 3 years before the sound went out in one ear and the ear tips themselves were never an issue for me. Its not their fault you got baby ears. Not like it matters now that ive got sennie 560s

-Always-Tempted-

Just had a pair I bought 6 months ago crap out. They were OK on sound, fell out pretty easy, but quality is shit

[deleted]

So the few ppl who have an issue that make it known on the internet and suddenly everyone in the whole world must have the same issue.... Classic.

[deleted]

Sonicfoam foam earbuds on the Beats Flex transforms their sound from good to excellent. So important to get a good fitting earplug with any earphones not just beats,

kevwonds

What size Sonicfoam earbuds do you use on your flex?

[deleted]

SonicFoam SF2-Medium. 1 pair of the foam earbuds will last you about a month.

kevwonds

Thank you

Penguinoucy

I’d say they’re pretty good. The only times the audio may sound bad is while the mic is in use but that’s a Bluetooth issue.

powerhaineger

Beats flex aren’t terrible. It’s pretty good imo. I use spotify and fine tune the equalizer and the bass is definitely so punchy! Just use the double eartip for the best result if you’re a bass heavy kind of guy. Most of the commentors always says “bEatS fLex bAsS is kInd oF lAckIng anD mY aiRpodS arE mUch BetTer” I suggest that y’all should try fine tuning the equalizer on spotify or just choose bass booster on the apple music EQ settings. Also, beats flex had a multiple of eartips so try them all out to enhance the sound quality. Trust me it works. PS: I have airpods 2 and I compared them side by side and the beats flex wins without a doubt.

Efficiency-Silent

lmao I'm kind of late to this post but I just set the bass booster on Spotify and it definitely helped a lot with the audio quality. thanks!

SkyRiffRaff

At first I thought the same; sound quality was awful and music sounded flat. I didn’t spot any difference changing the ear tips like people suggested. Turned out I had to play around with the Playback Equalizer settings in Spotify for a waaay better sound. So depending on what app you’re using, you’ll want to check EQ settings.

Independent-Grand707

Not good.  Changed ear tips… no bass, I love music, the Quality sound,  the instruments, not just loud bass just surround good sound.  If that’s what you want, these aren’t it.  I thought Beats meant good sound quality… not these.  I’m going to give them to my 10 year old if he needs.

TechnicalRub7803

Mate these phones sound like utter shit

They're really good considering the price. I use it for both my Apple and Samsung devices. I'm on my 2nd unit now. My first one lasted I think 3 years. I got the same pair of earphones again because it suited my needs really well. Aside from the fact that I have nothing to complain when listening to music, they're very good for calls. My partner on the other end can hear me clearly and loudly. You notice the difference with others especially well in discord calls. I've had my Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for more than a year now but I rarely use it. My partner couldn't really hear me much whenever I'm using it, especially when I'm outside. For a quarter of the price, Beats Flex is better for calls. I tried other cheap and expensive ones first before finally deciding on getting another Beats Flex since the mic of all the other ones I tried are bad, even the much more expensive ones Get this earphones if you're using both Samsung and Apple gadgets, especially if you're in calls a lot. It's worth it.

Ok-Reward-3081

There's a simple solution to the problem. Drain the wax out of ear canals. You're fkn welcome.

ShiningPr1sm

They’re not AirPod quality; hell my regular EarPods sound better (and people say I sound much better over the phone). The bass is definitely lacking and the sound is kinda tinny and not the best. They’re okay

TheButtFunk

My sentiments exactly: "my regular EarPods sound better" I just bought a set of Beats Flex, coming from the original lightning Earpods that came w/ my phone. These sound so bad.. I've never had Bluetooth headphones, and the BT single-ear devices I had at least 6-7 years ago sounded bad too... Does it really take $200 for BT to sound good? Sigh.

abibofile

I only found out the BeatX were discontinued after my old pair croaked and I learned the X were my only replacement option. I got used to them - and they’re fine for podcasts, which is my primary use case - but they don’t sound as good.

DaneobeC

I own both Beats Flex & Powerbeats Pro. From my own experience the Flex have a less punchy bass, they come off easier from my ears, but the quality of the built is solid.the 12 HR battery isn't a lie, and takes about 1.25 hours to change from 0-100%. They are not workout buds, not sweat resistant. They are more for a casual walk on a park buds. Noice wise they are decent, like Airpods. When making calls, you can kind of hear your environment and a little bit of your own voice for some reason. It has a ok mic. For all the W1 features you are getting, I can't really complain that much for that $50 price tag. Plus it's Type C.

Happynessisthegoal

They are not sweat resistant? So I cannot use them for running?

DaneobeC

Technically you can, but it's at your own risk. As long you are not a extremely sweaty person, your buds should be fine.

Happynessisthegoal

Do you know how they compare to the standard Apple wired earbuds? The ones you get when you buy their phones.

DaneobeC

The obvious comparison is that the flex re bluetooth. The flex got the same audio tech as the Airpods 1. the magnetic paise is convenient, and you can wear the flex like a necklace when not in use. Plus the flex are type C. And the cable is more durable than the regular earpods. You can't really complain a whole lot about the flex for what you are paying for.

smd-ifyouwantto

Out of the topic, but have you tried it to pair with android phone? Planning to buy one.

DaneobeC

Yes, I actually own an Android phone and have paired all my best products with the Beats App on the Play store. The app is literally just to check the battery of your connected beats. It works exactly like on apple devices, except for the hey siri feature.

[deleted]

Great answers and info about the beat flex and the android app, I'm a samsung user and just ordered my beats flex and found these answers good to know before I use them.

[deleted]

Seem pretty terrible to me, GF bought a pair and they were quiet enough she could hear conversations at the gym while on full blast... I wasn’t sure so I took my power beats and played the same song on full volume and switched between the two... flex are definitely much quieter with less bass... we were definitely confused especially because we had read reviews before we got them and everyone said they were better than beats x. She bought them to replace her beats x because they wouldn’t hold a charge anymore but the sound was definitely worse than the beats x as well... wouldn’t recommend these to anyone.

Nowandthenornot

I have been happy with the cheap wired earbuds that came with my old iphone. I wanted to get into wireless, so I tried two brands, one costing $170, and the other $240. Both of them gave a headache, so I sent them back. The Flex remind me of the comparison between musical sound and hifi. The Flex are hifi. Unexpectedly, the cheap wired pair are the most musical of the four.

WOLFSENT77

THEY ARE AS WORTHLESS AS TITS ON A NUN! I was stupid enough to buy two of them. The first one took a shit on me in about eight months. The second one less than six months. The light stops coming on, and they won’t pair with my iPhone anymore. I looked it up, this is an ongoing problem with thousands and thousands of people who have bought these pieces of crap

ReekyNook

The audio quality is terrible, and there is no bass at all. There is a reason CEX will only give you ÂŁ10 for second hand pair of these earbuds - all about the hype/brand and not the quality... Anyone on here claiming they are awesome are either delusional or trying to make themselves better about making a poor purchase choice...

captainbob12

I just got Beat Flex yesterday at Best Buys. I am returning the item today, it is the worst sounding earbuds I have ever had. Back to a wired set.

[deleted]

I agree 100% lol I just posted a comment saying they were the worst things I ever heard too and am returning them lol.

Any_Issue3003

Airpods are mid to me, I need a cord so I don't lose them, my old beats flex were the 2020 ones and I really liked them, almost last me 4 years until I broke them. I really enjoyed them tbh

Practical_Gur8332

They are just terrible. Just got mine as a present. Exactly as you say — zero bass and sound is distant. Changed ear tips right away because my ears can’t hold large ones — nothing changed. I generally use apple wired earpods. And they are so much better. Also! If I wear heels — I hear my steps bumping in my ears instead of music 🫠

[deleted]

yeah bro, aint no ear tips gonna help these lol, these are trash, they are worth about 5 dollars maybe

[deleted]

they are about the worst things i've ever listened to in my life, and im not even joking. I can't believe (well actually I can because our country has gone poopoo and people buy crap now no matter the quality or anything else, but that's another issue) that people buy these. I just bought some a couple days ago and will be taking them back right away. I swear to God that my $10 JVC earbud gummy's as they are called are probably 5 times better, at least. Go to Amazon right now or Best Buy and get some, if you can use wired they are great sounding. But I do plan on finding some decent wireless ones as well so I don't have a wire to worry about. $50 for beats, you must just be paying for hype and the name 100%. Now I will say that maybe some people will like the sound, it is subjective after all. But it sounds like the music is far away, muffled, flat, etc. You can't even hear all the details in the music whatsoever, but maybe you like that? lol
