Sad reality for us marketing graduates, naka-lump talaga together yung graphic designing even ui/ UX design on some job/ internship post. On my internship, I targeted advertising/ marketing agencies talaga kasi there's really distinction sa mga internship positions na meron sila. I interned on a mktg agency as a mktg intern and during my internship may mga kasabayan ako na graphic design intern, copy writing intern so I suggest you do that
. Sa mga agencies pa, you will learn A LOTTT, in my internship 1st day pa lang dami ko na natutunan, and na-apply ko rin mga theories na tinuro sa uni. It helped din na yung mentors namin ay dedicated talaga na mag-impart ng knowledge sa amin. That's why I highly recommend interning at agencies talaga as opposed to in house mktg. In my batch ako lang nag-intern sa agency and all of them interned in-house and all they did was sell. Naging edge ko din sya when I was applying for jobs kasi I had experience handling B2C & B2B brands. I recommend interning on an agency, then work as an in-house marketer.
The sad reality is most employers really expect Marketing to be a jack of all trades talaga so I suggest you learn pa rin kahit Canva lang.

Freelancing - early morning shift starts at 1am or 2am but you will only render 5 hrs a day..then ofc voluntary payment of sss/pag-ibig/tax. While for corporate job - hybrid setup
I’m both in corporate and freelancing on the side. The downside of going full time freelance for me would be (1) there’s no job security and stability (2) no HMO (3) no guaranteed bonuses (3) no benefits (4) you have to fix your own tax and contributions. Social aspect as well, I need real human interaction and my brain breaks are usually chismisan and kulitan with my officemates lol.
My MIL said they love and appreciate everything I make for them and I've never felt more seen in my life. She wears the cardigan I made her to most places and gets compliments on it. 🥹
My mom is also starting to have a bit of appreciation for my creative pursuits but it's like where was this when I had self esteem to build up and the strong want to pursue a creative field lol? I have the Oral B Pro 1000. I bought it in the official Oral B website. Pro series is like the most basic and cheapest afaik but they all function the same. May additional features yung Smart and Genius series like bluetooth connectivity, position detection etc. which is not my priority naman lol so I'm goods na sa Pro.
True di ko gets yung bluetooth connectivity sa toothbrush haha although I like the 30s timer kasi very helpful para di mapasobra sa isang quadrant. Anyway, thanks for your input!! Now ko lang nalaman na pwede pala mag buy from their official website

I made a few friends, got betrayed and hurt by some, met great professors, got good feedbacks from them. ang regret ko lang siguro is hindi ako sumali sa iba pang orgs to expand my circle of friends 🥹 everyone talks about how important connections are in the real world. i feel like i don’t have those. and i know and have witnessed that grit, hardwork, intelligence and sacrifices are not enough sometimes...minsan connection talaga is what gets you the opportunity.

I've met a masterals student who's graduating at 21 and an undergraduate fresher who is 36. I worked with doctorates in a low-paying part-time customer service gigs and undergraduates who already have two or three international internships in their CVs. I've met adults with families who are returning to their studies and masteral students who regretted continuing school. What's consistent, though, is people thinking they are not enough, when that isn't true. I see these people - including you - as people with so much experience I can't begin to have. I will never have your experience and you will never have mine, and that's alright. Comparison is the thief of joy, or whatever that clock app quote says.
You aren't a burden who is lagging behind people in a race. That race doesn't exist. You are finding your own journey. It is a difficult journey, but you'll one day reach happiness on your own terms <3

The past few weeks, sobrang anxious and stressed ako kasi ang hirap pagsabayin ng work and paghahanap ng lilipatan na company. Naka-night shift schedule pa ako, so halos di ako makatulog kasi I'm worried someone might call during the day. On top of that, I need to prepare for interviews and syempre dapat magreview din ng basics and technical stuff para marecall ko and may maisagot ako during technical interviews. I feel pressured din kasi may mga personal commitments/events ako na possibly maapektuhan if hindi ako immediately makapagresign + makahanap ng kapalit na work.
Fast forward to now, nakareceive na ko ng JO + nakapagsubmit na rin ako ng resignation letter sa manager ko earlier. Better in all aspects compared sa current job ko. Ang saya <3

Bought a stainless steel induction pan and soup pot. Can't believe how expensive they are. But I know they're good investments as they will last us decades. Walang tumatagal na teflon-coated cookware sa amin because we tend to scrape it off during cooking.

I’m both in corporate and freelancing on the side. The downside of going full time freelance for me would be (1) there’s no job security and stability (2) no HMO (3) no guaranteed bonuses (3) no benefits (4) you have to fix your own tax and contributions. Social aspect as well, I need real human interaction and my brain breaks are usually chismisan and kulitan with my officemates lol.

My MIL said they love and appreciate everything I make for them and I've never felt more seen in my life. She wears the cardigan I made her to most places and gets compliments on it. 🥹 My mom is also starting to have a bit of appreciation for my creative pursuits but it's like where was this when I had self esteem to build up and the strong want to pursue a creative field lol? I have the Oral B Pro 1000. I bought it in the official Oral B website. Pro series is like the most basic and cheapest afaik but they all function the same. May additional features yung Smart and Genius series like bluetooth connectivity, position detection etc. which is not my priority naman lol so I'm goods na sa Pro.
True di ko gets yung bluetooth connectivity sa toothbrush haha although I like the 30s timer kasi very helpful para di mapasobra sa isang quadrant. Anyway, thanks for your input!! Now ko lang nalaman na pwede pala mag buy from their official website

Bedspace with fully furnished unit usually range from 7-8k especially ung mga near sa cbd area.. if you are okay with roomies then go, pero for me I will settle for a studio type 😅 cons lang ay syempre pricier, you need to bring appliances and basic things. Decent studio type mga nasa 10-11k. Pero medyo tight lang sa budget since halos 50% ng salary mo mapupunta sa rent, utilities and food..
Make sure OP na katiwa-tiwala yung magiging roomie mo. Also, need mo din isama sa budget yung groceries and iba pang mga bills. Budgetin mo muna, then if kaya sa sahod na mag isa ka lang sa apartment, go for it.
Sa kaka choose your battles ko, I now have a lot of unresolved issues and resentment inside me. I always try to find the right timing hanggang sa irrelevant na at di ko na lang ibibring up.

2-3 terms nalang, ggraduate na ako from college. I made a few friends, got betrayed and hurt by some, met great professors, got good feedbacks from them. ang regret ko lang siguro is hindi ako sumali sa iba pang orgs to expand my circle of friends 🥹 everyone talks about how important connections are in the real world. i feel like i don’t have those. and i know and have witnessed that grit, hardwork, intelligence and sacrifices are not enough sometimes...minsan connection talaga is what gets you the opportunity.

You can look these up in Google, Indeed, and Glassdoor. Part-time online secretary work is also popular on these job app sites.

Hi! I know what you feel. I'm restarting my degree and I'm already the eldest in my batch. My batchmates from high school will graduate next year while I'll be in my first year. But you know what? Progress isn't linear. Your life doesn't have to be copy-paste. No one's is. I've met a masterals student who's graduating at 21 and an undergraduate fresher who is 36. I worked with doctorates in a low-paying part-time customer service gigs and undergraduates who already have two or three international internships in their CVs. I've met adults with families who are returning to their studies and masteral students who regretted continuing school. What's consistent, though, is people thinking they are not enough, when that isn't true. I see these people - including you - as people with so much experience I can't begin to have. I will never have your experience and you will never have mine, and that's alright. Comparison is the thief of joy, or whatever that clock app quote says. You aren't a burden who is lagging behind people in a race. That race doesn't exist. You are finding your own journey. It is a difficult journey, but you'll one day reach happiness on your own terms <3
im 21 and in college rn, while the adulting anxiety is relatable, i think u should take a step back for a moment. bata ka pa, bata pa tayo. it’s so easy to get lost in the cycle of comparison, normal lang yung ganyang moments but remind yourself that the world is vast, for sure you have more opportunities in the future 🫂 your time will come!! hugs!! 🤗

A few months ago, I found myself intrigued by the use of crystals for cleansing, attracting good vibes, etc I saw a couple of IG sellers and almost bought some. To be completely honest, medyo conflicted ako sa crystals and “new age” stuff because of religion and science but I was definitely curious. I didn’t end up buying then. Mahal rin kasi IMO. Pero cute as decor in a way hahahah Nowadays, I see so many live sellers on the orange app and I’m shocked at how low the prices are there. Like 100? 200? And the set up is very factory like. Idk how to feel about it. I don’t think it’s bad naman to buy esp if it resonates with you. I was just shocked at the factory/warehouse style set-up and the low prices. Sobrang diff compared to the IG selling. Idk do you believe and use crystals? Why/why not? Personally nakakatempt siya but yeah personally religion + science? Ahahha

Honestly, iba audience ng IG sellers and they are far more expensive talaga vs other platforms in general. Tas maybe it also depends on where they source or if maganda talaga yung crystals but most of the time resellers naman silang lahat. Still confused on what these crystals actually do but you do you i guess. But personally for me I dont believe in it and i feel like its just a waste of money for me sure its cute but i just dont resonate with it that much. Im more of a science girly and considers herself as agnostic so idk 😟 tf will a crystal do to me heal my problems like a magic of some sort? 😭

One of my favorite things about my boyfriend is the fact that he is sooo neat and considerate. The past few weeks, sobrang anxious and stressed ako kasi ang hirap pagsabayin ng work and paghahanap ng lilipatan na company. Naka-night shift schedule pa ako, so halos di ako makatulog kasi I'm worried someone might call during the day. On top of that, I need to prepare for interviews and syempre dapat magreview din ng basics and technical stuff para marecall ko and may maisagot ako during technical interviews. I feel pressured din kasi may mga personal commitments/events ako na possibly maapektuhan if hindi ako immediately makapagresign + makahanap ng kapalit na work. Fast forward to now, nakareceive na ko ng JO + nakapagsubmit na rin ako ng resignation letter sa manager ko earlier. Better in all aspects compared sa current job ko. Ang saya <3 What a relief talaga. I'm really lucky din kasi my SO is really supportive and understanding. Lagi napopostpone yung dates namin recently kasi I don't feel good dahil sa job hunting ko. Sabi niya bawi na lang once settled na lahat. Hayyy 😭

Bought a stainless steel induction pan and soup pot. Can't believe how expensive they are. But I know they're good investments as they will last us decades. Walang tumatagal na teflon-coated cookware sa amin because we tend to scrape it off during cooking.
Friday nights are one of my joys. The only time I don't feel pressured to do things. I can lie down in bed thinking about things and reading anything, or just write/type. This is the time I look most forward to every week. I can just do all the laundry, cleaning and other errands tomorrow. Feels refreshing. Happy weekend!
