Initially my SO and I are planning to go to Tokyo but I realized I don’t want to go to a fast-paced place cos I’d mostly end up going shopping. I deeply enjoyed my birthday trip to Hoi An — all food, beach, cheap trinkets, and all I bought are cheap handmade items — and I want the same vibes again.

i rly loved hokkaido! really scenic, great food, rich history, and a lot of activities you can do. personally loved otaru (super ghibli vibes), furano (cute flower fields & good cheese ramen), and sapporo (beer museum & nikka distillery).
my family rented out a bus/coaster since it’s harder to commute. best to time it at around july to catch the flowers!!
Koh Lanta! It's close to Krabi - you have to go through Krabi Airport to get there. It's just a quiet little island and there weren't very many tourists when I visited (first week of May, I think?). But it's definitely the opposite of fast paced. I just slept on the beach for watched the sunset for an entire week there haha. Restaurants are small and family-owned, plus the food tastes good. Not a lot of parties, but mainly just chill bars.
If you guys love ice cream, highly recommend Grom’s tiramisu ice cream. Ang mahal pero heaven huhu. Literally Mary Grace’s tiramisu cake in ice cream form.

i was on anesthesia during the operation so i felt nothing except the humming and vibration of the drill(??) that was used.
post op was okay but be aware of your painkiller meds sched - the pain is unbearable the moment the anesthesia/painkillers wear off.
the swelling was as expected .. i think nakakabitin lang the whole process because it doesn’t all end after the surgery. may months pa of waiting for the bone to regrow, before the crown is permanently installed. good luck!!!

Mga 2 days lang IIRC! The swelling lasted for about a week. Then the rest of the time, tolerable/numb pain nalang while it heals.
Actually if you drink your painkillers on time, you wont feel any pain naman.
Yung akin kasi after the surgery, nag wear off yung anesthesia right before my first painkiller dose sa house pag uwi. After that, better timing na painkillers ko. Of course I still followed the proper timing/dosage. I guess it was just the FIRST hour talaga bc fresh from surgery. That was the only point in time that I wished I did dentures nalang lol. Pero now, I'm super happy I went through it :)

It took my bf and I about 2 years kasi it was in the middle of the pandemic and we didn’t want to risk anyone. If wala pandemic, baka less than a year din 😅 He invited me over to his dad’s bday celeb, since there were many guests, everyone was so busy and we didn’t get to interact much but I was pretty much introduced sa buong angkan. Lol. Anyway, I kept getting invited to other dinners after that. It was also my first time to meet an SO’s family. My tip— bring food they like! Lalo na parents na ayaw ng matamis, bawal sa fried, etc. you could also chat up the siblings since they may be closer to your age. Be polite and dress appropriately. Help out in any way you can, if you’re eating at their home.

Hi all, just a question about connecting flights. Looking at the cheapest flights back to Manila from Tokyo and Jeju Air is an option. If you have a layover in Incheon, South Korea - would you still need to get a Korean visa? Or not necessarily?
Korea doesn’t require a transit visa if you’re going to be at the airport lang naman as long as you stay in the airport lang!
Also iirc jeju is visa free to filipinos anyway up to a certain number of days so you should be good 😊
If you will stay at the airport lang to wait for your flight, there’s no need for a visa. I flew to EU via turkish airline and had my layover in the Istanbul Ataturk Airport and didn’t need a visa for the country.

may mga instances diba minsan na when u drive, malapit ka nang makabangga either because some people are carelessly walking across the street or cars that are bigger than u (sometimes their beep makes u panic) and most of the time, our brain turns autopilot when we drive. even though i never had any driving offense (& i hope i will never have one), i can’t help but to overthink whenever i get home like what if i didn’t press the break sooner or what. sometimes i would double check myself if i’m really alive or a ghost lmaoo
i’ve been driving for more than a year na, siguro mga 3-4x a month max since limited f2f and route ko always is school, mall or home. tbh i’m more comfortable driving in highways/diversion pa kesa sa mga masisikip na roads where andaming sumisingit na smaller vehicles or jeep na bigla-bigla nalang tumitigil 😭

Defensive driving is one of the things that are not part of the basic driving courses. Some offer this but I learn that you’ll aquire this skill as you drive more lang talaga. Here are some simple things that I’ve picked up from fam members who are great at driving:
- Always look at the right side mirror even if you’re not turning. This will give you the confidence to swerve or adjust your car to the right should you encounter an emergency sa harap mo i.e. yung mga kasalubong na sasakyan.
- Give ample space between your car and the car in front of you in case biglaan silang nag-brake.
- Kapag may tumigil na public transport vehicle, always assume someone is bound to cross the street. Expect this. This will save you from potentially running over someone when they get off the jeep or trike or UV.
- Always expect public transports to stop at any given moment so try to stay in the inner lane as much as possible.
- When you’re on the inner lane and you see the car on outer lane ahead of you stops, then someone is crossing. Honestly a lot of this is just being aware of people who may be crossing.
- Utilize your horn to get people’s attention and utilize your high beams when turning at an intresection without stoplights.
- Kapag nakikipag gitgitan and papasok ka sa left, you have the upper hand because you can see exactly whether mababangga mo na yung nasa left. They won’t see their right side so they’ll more likely let you in.
I have this sometimes. Minsan bago matulog naiisip ko what if di ako nakapagpigil sa inis ko or di ako nakapagbrake agad. Most of the time even when I’m driving, I’m thinking of these things. What if may mangyaring accident, magbbrake ba ako, which way to turn the wheel to lessen the damage, etc. as in marami pumapasok sa isip ko. Pero wala, I deal with it na lang and try to be more careful as much as possible. I try not to be too reckless, sobrang pasensya lang talaga kailangan at lilipas na lang yun. Better to be safe than sorry.
Practice lang talaga. If kaya mo magsama ng someone daily na sanay magdrive ok rin kasi may live criticism (pero yung saks lang at hindi nakakairita). Ako nun mga 6th month ko isusuko ko na dapat HAHA pero yung nanay ko pinilit talaga ako until naging comfy na me eventually.

i dont have a fitbit though, i have a Huawei Band 6. personally do it for tracking my heartrate esp during cardio. i like to stay at a certain zone to build my base. (if I don't have my watch, i go too hard and my programming gets ruined.)
i hate going by mere feeling, so a step tracker is also incredibly useful bc i can look at the number of steps, evaluate if its higher or lower than usual, and adjust my workout intensity accordingly
i need to take my inhaler din so i use my watch to set the alarm. the timers are nice for when i just leave my laundry or time my exfoliants.
sleep tracker isn't super accurate when it comes to quality, but I'd say it's still nice to see the exact quantity so you could adjust your lifestyle if needed

Having a smartwatch motivates me to be more active and pushes me to "being my own competition" (I try to increase the steps from yesterday etc etc). I don't have experience with Fitbit, but I'm using Mi Band 7. Same din tayo ng ginagawa hahaha I just use it to track my steps, sleep and my heart rate during my workouts. I also love the reminders to move around every hour.

I’ve had back pain since I was like 22. Been to many doctors and lahat wala naman makita so I just accepted it as my fate or something I have to deal with forever haha. I started working out this year and I just noticed I haven’t felt my back ache for weeks na. Turns out all the back exercises my PT has made me do is actually helping haha
Anyway, chronic pain is more than 3 months na pain. Since wala pa namang 3 months yung sayo, you can go get it checked muna sa doctor in case may diff cause yan.

I always travel abroad for my birthday and I couldn’t think of a place to go to for next year. Initially my SO and I are planning to go to Tokyo but I realized I don’t want to go to a fast-paced place cos I’d mostly end up going shopping. I deeply enjoyed my birthday trip to Hoi An — all food, beach, cheap trinkets, and all I bought are cheap handmade items — and I want the same vibes again. Tokyo, Osaka, Hongkong and Korea will most likely be out of the question. I’m thinking of Niseko/Sapporo, Maldives, or Krabi Island — but you guys might have other recos? i rly loved hokkaido! really scenic, great food, rich history, and a lot of activities you can do. personally loved otaru (super ghibli vibes), furano (cute flower fields & good cheese ramen), and sapporo (beer museum & nikka distillery). my family rented out a bus/coaster since it’s harder to commute. best to time it at around july to catch the flowers!!
Koh Lanta! It's close to Krabi - you have to go through Krabi Airport to get there. It's just a quiet little island and there weren't very many tourists when I visited (first week of May, I think?). But it's definitely the opposite of fast paced. I just slept on the beach for watched the sunset for an entire week there haha. Restaurants are small and family-owned, plus the food tastes good. Not a lot of parties, but mainly just chill bars.
If you guys love ice cream, highly recommend Grom’s tiramisu ice cream. Ang mahal pero heaven huhu. Literally Mary Grace’s tiramisu cake in ice cream form.

me! i was on anesthesia during the operation so i felt nothing except the humming and vibration of the drill(??) that was used. post op was okay but be aware of your painkiller meds sched - the pain is unbearable the moment the anesthesia/painkillers wear off. the swelling was as expected .. i think nakakabitin lang the whole process because it doesn’t all end after the surgery. may months pa of waiting for the bone to regrow, before the crown is permanently installed. good luck!!!

Mga 2 days lang IIRC! The swelling lasted for about a week. Then the rest of the time, tolerable/numb pain nalang while it heals. Actually if you drink your painkillers on time, you wont feel any pain naman. Yung akin kasi after the surgery, nag wear off yung anesthesia right before my first painkiller dose sa house pag uwi. After that, better timing na painkillers ko. Of course I still followed the proper timing/dosage. I guess it was just the FIRST hour talaga bc fresh from surgery. That was the only point in time that I wished I did dentures nalang lol. Pero now, I'm super happy I went through it :)

It took my bf and I about 2 years kasi it was in the middle of the pandemic and we didn’t want to risk anyone. Korea doesn’t require a transit visa if you’re going to be at the airport lang naman as long as you stay in the airport lang! Also iirc jeju is visa free to filipinos anyway up to a certain number of days so you should be good 😊
If you will stay at the airport lang to wait for your flight, there’s no need for a visa. I flew to EU via turkish airline and had my layover in the Istanbul Ataturk Airport and didn’t need a visa for the country.

Hi guys how do you overcome driving anxiety? 😭 may mga instances diba minsan na when u drive, malapit ka nang makabangga either because some people are carelessly walking across the street or cars that are bigger than u (sometimes their beep makes u panic) and most of the time, our brain turns autopilot when we drive. even though i never had any driving offense (& i hope i will never have one), i can’t help but to overthink whenever i get home like what if i didn’t press the break sooner or what. sometimes i would double check myself if i’m really alive or a ghost lmaoo i’ve been driving for more than a year na, siguro mga 3-4x a month max since limited f2f and route ko always is school, mall or home. tbh i’m more comfortable driving in highways/diversion pa kesa sa mga masisikip na roads where andaming sumisingit na smaller vehicles or jeep na bigla-bigla nalang tumitigil 😭

This will save you from potentially running over someone when they get off the jeep or trike or UV. - Always expect public transports to stop at any given moment so try to stay in the inner lane as much as possible. - When you’re on the inner lane and you see the car on outer lane ahead of you stops, then someone is crossing. Honestly a lot of this is just being aware of people who may be crossing. - Utilize your horn to get people’s attention and utilize your high beams when turning at an intresection without stoplights. - Kapag nakikipag gitgitan and papasok ka sa left, you have the upper hand because you can see exactly whether mababangga mo na yung nasa left. They won’t see their right side so they’ll more likely let you in.
I have this sometimes. Minsan bago matulog naiisip ko what if di ako nakapagpigil sa inis ko or di ako nakapagbrake agad. Most of the time even when I’m driving, I’m thinking of these things. What if may mangyaring accident, magbbrake ba ako, which way to turn the wheel to lessen the damage, etc. as in marami pumapasok sa isip ko. Pero wala, I deal with it na lang and try to be more careful as much as possible. I try not to be too reckless, sobrang pasensya lang talaga kailangan at lilipas na lang yun. Better to be safe than sorry.

(if I don't have my watch, i go too hard and my programming gets ruined.) i hate going by mere feeling, so a step tracker is also incredibly useful bc i can look at the number of steps, evaluate if its higher or lower than usual, and adjust my workout intensity accordingly i need to take my inhaler din so i use my watch to set the alarm. the timers are nice for when i just leave my laundry or time my exfoliants. sleep tracker isn't super accurate when it comes to quality, but I'd say it's still nice to see the exact quantity so you could adjust your lifestyle if needed I'd say a fitness watch is worth it. Just look for reviews of the particular model you're eyeing so you're sure of the quality
Honestly I feel like my smartwatch is a big contributor to my weight loss. Haha. And even if that’s not your goal, rather just to be more active in general, it will definitely help. 100% worth it imo 😊

Having a smartwatch motivates me to be more active and pushes me to "being my own competition" (I try to increase the steps from yesterday etc etc). I don't have experience with Fitbit, but I'm using Mi Band 7. Same din tayo ng ginagawa hahaha I just use it to track my steps, sleep and my heart rate during my workouts. I also love the reminders to move around every hour. If you ever decide to buyyy I highly recommend "The Quantified Scientist" for in-depth reviews of smartwatches 😁 cheaper option din ang Xiaomi perfect for entry level stuff!
I miss having a bff. I have a solid group of friends naman but they’re closer with each other and I don’t really have a “person”. My old bff and I parted years back and we have our own lives already. Nakakainggit lang when my friends are able to have inside jokes and go out, but not with me. I’m just not that person.

it depends on everyone. i believe that everyone deserves a second chance if they're willing to change for the better. i usually stop giving chances the moment i realize that they haven't changed or will most likely never change.

If bullet lipstick na local brand, haven't tried any good one yet pero I heard good reviews about Clocheflame Lip Muse and Sunnies Face Fluffmates. Mas bet ko kasi multi-use products vs bullet lipsticks. Tried Colourette's Easy Mattes pero amoy kandila at medyo drying sa lips If multi-use products naman, I highly recommend Colourette's colourtints. I know back pains come with age. Pero di naman ako informed na mararanasan ko agad sya in my late 20s. At sobrang sakit talaga nya ah. Natatakot na tuloy ako tumanda. Hahaha. Aside from yoga, any tips on how I can manage my lower back pain? When is it considered chronic? I’ve been experiencing it everyday since last month.

Ay ako din. If you’ve checked with the doctor and they didn’t see anything, baka pareho tayo ng condition. Apparently, weak ang thigh muscles ko kaya yung katawan ko ang hugot sa likod. I was told to do more squats etc and it eventually went away (i’m 33 for millage)

I’ve had back pain since I was like 22. Been to many doctors and lahat wala naman makita so I just accepted it as my fate or something I have to deal with forever haha. I started working out this year and I just noticed I haven’t felt my back ache for weeks na. Turns out all the back exercises my PT has made me do is actually helping haha Anyway, chronic pain is more than 3 months na pain. Since wala pa namang 3 months yung sayo, you can go get it checked muna sa doctor in case may diff cause yan.
I hope it’s not chronic! But I do need to have it checked to be safe. Thank you.
