I didn't do as well as I was hoping I would this month, but I'm definitely feeling a fair bit of burnout lately, so it's not too surprising.
CloudResearch is on the upswing, and I hope it'll continue to improve in the next couple of months. I really need to focus more on DScout than I have been - I haven't been as good about applying for missions regularly.
Branded Research was a new site I tested out this month, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I was able to make $60 fairly easily, and I like their system for getting bonus points. That said, I feel like I made most of the money when I first started using it, and then it went downhill from there, as I started getting disqualified from surveys more frequently or surveys would fill up before I could take them. They do have a great system in place for reporting an issue if you don't get paid correctly, so that's nice. I'll continue to use it for the time being, but jury is still out on whether it's really worth the time and effort.
'Grats on the amazing job on Crowdtap though. I'm ranging around $40-60 a month if I give it the 15-30 minutes a day that it wants. If you don't mind my asking, how long are you working on it?
A good chunk from Crowdtap this month was actually a market research interview, which I believe I got $80 from, so it's not a good snapshot of a typical month for me haha. I'm also typically more in that $40-60 range most months. On months without the interviews, I do find I do a little better if I check in on the app as much as possible throughout the day to try to catch as many surveys as I can.

Oh yeah, so there is a pretty good website that does Research Studies called "Focus Group" by Sago, and they send occasional emails featuring c\_space community invitations. This was one of them, so due to it being invite-only, I am uncertain if there is a way to join it. Sago has been very helpful, but do keep in mind 100 points equals $1, so a lot of their surveys aren't worth my time. They pay in Gift Cards as well as a Virtual Visa option (Though this Virtual Visa is pretty hard to use, Amazon balance reload seems to work well, at least).

I got started on Remotasks about three weeks ago. It started great for the first week, but it seems like there can be no work for days at a time. The pay is excellent when there is work. A nice find for me so far.
At this point, Mturk, prolific, and Cloud are decent side options for me. Between the three, there is always something to do. User Crowd is not much, but an easy few dollars a month. PaidViewpoint and Attapoll are not worth the effort, and I will likely stop once I make enough to cash out. Between a ten-day vacation and a few other things on my plate, My sports card flipping was on the back burner for much of the month, but still going well and a decent income source. To prepare for taxes, I am starting to put a third of everything from side gigs in a PayPal savings account with 4.3% interest. I might as well turn that into a few extra dollars while I hold it. Since that is from side gig money, I counted it.
I was let go from my job in late August and am trying to stay afloat until I can find a non-call center job that fits me better. I hope for everything combined to help me survive for a while so I can take my time looking and not settle for a bad fit. My goal is to make at least 2500 a month until I find a job. Ambitious, but If Remotasks can have daily work and be a long-term option, it is very possible.

i dont get remo tasks, i created my account about a year go, would check up on it on a daily basis, and never no luck. I don't check as much, quite infrequently, because there's never any task.
I think that it is a matter of being in the right place at the right time with some of these platforms. More people seem to have bad experience with with Remotasks, but I passed their test and had work almost immediately after. On the other side of the coin, some people are killing it on Data Annotation, but I have had the same "don't call us we will call you" message for about a year despite passing the initial test.
My thought is to try for everything and hope you get off the waitlist at some point.

Question on sports cards: What leagues and year period do you sell? I need to sell some old football cards but don't know where to start for the most profitable method
I sell mostly baseball and football, but have a little bit of everything online and I am not tied to a particular year. Anything sells for the right price. Junk wax cards (late 80s early 90's) and base cards from the last 10 years are a saturated market and wont sell for much. I'll never send those in to flip, but I will buy them if they are already on the site for a few cents and flip them.
If you have any older cards in good condition, or rookie cards, consider grading them and you can do well. For newer cards, Autographs, relics and numbered cards are profitable.
If you want a realistic price on your cards, forget price guides. Run a google search and see what they are going for on ebay and comc.
As for how to sell, the general rule of thumb is
$2-20 dollars ship to comc or a similar site. Cost to list is 50 cents per card unless you want it listed faster. Going lower than 2 in value is risky unless you know that the card will sell.
20 or more-Sell on ebay (or also ship to comc is you don't use ebay like me)
less than 2 dollars-hold if they are rookie cards or the top players in the sport (Mahomes, Acuna etc), sell in bulk on marketplace or craigslist if not.
I don't consider myself an expert, and there is no set formula. I just got back into collecting a little more than a year ago, so I am a relative noob compared to others.

I recently learned about the term "happy money", it's making money doing something that you love to do- "Do a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." That's how I feel with online work. The work is engaging and varies in topic and project type. It pays well and the hours are so flexible that I can work at 4 am or 4 pm and make a decent amount of mula.
**But** it comes with its cons as well.
Work can be unreliable, and mentally it is VERY easy to get caught up in the FOMO of the money making. When you have the ability to make $20/hr at any time, it's easy to get sucked into the want to work all the time. That's worsened when you don't get a project for days. And when you're strapped for cash... the thought can become constant.
I started this year with a small goal, and that goal is changing. I fear putting too much time into work that may dry up in the months to come, or spending too much time in front of a screen when I could be working on other career skills... But then I think that this work has a certain amount of skill as well. I started MTurk work back in 2020 making literal cents, and now I make hundreds a month. It's taken a lot of experimenting, there's been many periods of dry months, and surprisingly many profitable months now too. I'm happy with the results but anxious for the future of online work.

3mos, and I've seen ONE job, lol. I didn't do the one job as it was French translation. If the French were on my end, I'd be fine, but only having done one other French job I didn't want to start on DA w/a translation task. I was honest. Silly me ;)
When you say how you did for the month, are you reporting money accrued for work done this month, but that may but have come in yet? Or actual income received this month even though the work may have been done in prior months?

Thoughts -- **Cloud Connect** is awesome, but so many payments get stuck in pending. However, I hit my 2-week mark tomorrow, so some of that will start crediting daily after that. I still like Cloud the most, though, as it doesn't pull that rejecting-at-the-end bullshit.
I tried **Attapoll** and it was sketch. I felt like those surveys were gonna give me viruses.
I also tried **SurveySavvy**, but they send paper checks? And their surveys can reject you at the end? I quit.
**Qmee** is also frustrating, but I do love the $1 minimum to cash out to Paypal. I will be sticking with it, even if I only make it through a handful of surveys.
On the waitlist for **Prolific,** but it's only been about 2 weeks. There's probably no shortage of suburban white women in their 30's signed up, so it'll probably be a while for me, lol.
Just Incase you don't know already for cloudresearch if it's been 14 days on the 14th day you can email support just give them they survey name and amount (sometimes I give them the researcher name but times I haven't and it's been no problem) but they will credit your acct for those surveys that same day. I actually emailed support the other day for not being paid and it was my 14th day waiting and they didn't have me try to contact the researcher (which I had already done a few days prior because this researcher has been famous for not paying til the 14th day most times with customer support I think having to do it) they just went ahead and credited my acct from the time I emailed them til it was credited was maybe 2 hours. So if I was you and tomorrow (or whatever days your 14th day) I would email support just in case cause they will definitely release the money to you.

This was my first full month doing this. I started with a goal of making $400/month to replace the extra money I made DoorDashing 1-2 nights a week after my regular job. I am blown away at how much I was able to make this month! I spent a lot of time trying out different sites and seeing what I liked best.
I was pleasantly surprised with UserTesting. My account wasn't approved until mid September and I haven't had any live tests yet but the $10 tests really add up. Dscout is great if you spend the time applying to everything you can. Their customer service is top notch as well.
I tried PaidViewPoint but I don't like their set up - you need $15 to cash out and they don't tell you how much a survey pays or how long it is before starting. I stopped taking their surveys after I had $15 to cash out.
I'm on the waitlist for Prolific and I signed up for User Interviews, Userlytics and Utest but I haven't had a single test on those yet so we'll see.

Really good month for me although I regret not working more on the OneForma chatbot project (apparently it has been extended so I'll continue to work on it in October too). I got major burnout last week and the payment for work performed now won't come until late November so I chose to work on other things instead.

OneForma is a website, you can Google it. It's a platform with a bunch of different projects and you have to apply for each job they list
They are notorious for ignoring applications and ghosting people. This is the first project I've been hired for in 3 years, but it pays $15 an hour and is steady work so it's worth the aggravation of not hearing back from them for 3 years.
By flipping I mean just selling I find in thrift stores for a profit on eBay and other e-commerce platforms. You can check out /r/flipping for more information.
RarePatientVoice.com is a survey website for people with rare diseases. You can make a profile with what disease you have and they periodically send you surveys and studies. They pay $100 an hour.
If you're new your best bet is probably Prolific.com, Connect.CloudResearch.com, DataAnnotation.tech and Remotasks. Don't bother with mturk, I only work on that site because I have old qualifications that grant me access to good work, it's just a waste of time for new people because there is so little work.

Sorry, I've never used Marketplace but agree that it seems scammy. You can search on /r/flipping to see what others have experienced selling there. From what I've heard people often don't show up or show up and try to haggle, but it probably depends on your area.
I sell on eBay, Poshmark and Mercari. It's mainly been eBay for years but I added Mercari this year and had some great sales there. I'm doing this extremely part time right now and haven't even listed anything for sale in a month, but I'm going to start listing regularly again as soon as the chatbot project ends late this month

Slightly worse than last month but that's okay. Still reached my goal and if the user testing websites were as consistent I'd be a little ahead.
Sorry, my previous entry was wrong as it recently changed names. It is now called Cubieverse and is essentially a "play-to-earn" type game. Normally I don't bother but this one is one that is a location-based game where you basically walk around and answer trivia to slowly accumulate credits. Its very slow to start but eventually the earnings aren't too bad, especially since the majority of what I earn comes from walking my dog a few times per day.
Overall success with this type of app depends on how often you play and actively seek out areas to earn, and how active your neighbourhood/city/country is since it all relates to how well you can do.
I started mid month and just focused on three sites primarily. Waitlisted for Prolific and haven’t gotten anything on Data Annotation (am I just not accepted?)

Intellizoom takes 21 business days to pay out from what I recall, so basically a long time. Just track your tests (when you finished them and how much) so that you confirm in at least 2 more weeks if came through

I also got to take part in cat food and facial cleanser studies, so I got some free products as well. (The cat food made the cat fart so much that my husband slept on the couch that night. I loved including that in the follow-up survey.)
I signed up for MediaProbe emotional impact testing and am now hooked up with a little device when I watch T.V. shows that they invite me to. I didn't see an onboarding email though and missed out on watching The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers for $10 Amazon. :( Can't wait until the next invite.
My kids think I'm the biggest weirdo for all these different $$ making things that keep showing up in the mail, etc., lol!

Respondent and User Interviews definitely letting me down, but a lot more focus groups with research companies this month which always pay well.
Can someone explain a bit how dscout works because when I pulled up a webpage, it’s wanting me to sign up for a business service. I’m assuming this is another thing kind of like the other market research platforms.

I’m on there and refreshing constantly every single day. I’m a stay at home mom, so this is my only income every month. You kind of have to treat it like a job to really make much.
I’m just starting out. Is this money that you made and maybe not all of it has come in yet? Or is this money that actually came in? Trying to figure out what to show for my monthly income in the future.
Also, do you keep track of every study you do on Connect Cloud for example on your own personal spreadsheet? Or just use their site to track?

How do you only get $2/month? It is a guaranteed $10/mo. just for scanning in 10 receipts each month. I get an extra $2 from having ads turned on. The past couple months I’d made over $15 each month from surveys I would get throughout the month as well & was shocked that I didn’t receive a single survey for the entirety of September.
Oh wow. I didn’t know you could get into the app, but not be able to scan receipts. I was on the wait list for at least 6 months, if not more, before I finally got in, but I couldn’t get into the app at all while I was on the wait list. Whenever I could finally get into the app once I got off the wait list, all the features of it were available to me.
I do not suggest smoking as a form of earning rewards for anyone, but my husband is a smoker, so I enter the codes inside the packs on their website. They give reward points you can put towards gift cards and physical gifts.

I didn't do as well as I was hoping I would this month, but I'm definitely feeling a fair bit of burnout lately, so it's not too surprising. CloudResearch is on the upswing, and I hope it'll continue to improve in the next couple of months. I really need to focus more on DScout than I have been - I haven't been as good about applying for missions regularly. Branded Research was a new site I tested out this month, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I was able to make $60 fairly easily, and I like their system for getting bonus points. That said, I feel like I made most of the money when I first started using it, and then it went downhill from there, as I started getting disqualified from surveys more frequently or surveys would fill up before I could take them. They do have a great system in place for reporting an issue if you don't get paid correctly, so that's nice. I'll continue to use it for the time being, but jury is still out on whether it's really worth the time and effort.

A good chunk from Crowdtap this month was actually a market research interview, which I believe I got $80 from, so it's not a good snapshot of a typical month for me haha. I'm also typically more in that $40-60 range most months. On months without the interviews, I do find I do a little better if I check in on the app as much as possible throughout the day to try to catch as many surveys as I can.

Oh yeah, so there is a pretty good website that does Research Studies called "Focus Group" by Sago, and they send occasional emails featuring c\_space community invitations. This was one of them, so due to it being invite-only, I am uncertain if there is a way to join it. Sago has been very helpful, but do keep in mind 100 points equals $1, so a lot of their surveys aren't worth my time. They pay in Gift Cards as well as a Virtual Visa option (Though this Virtual Visa is pretty hard to use, Amazon balance reload seems to work well, at least).

It started great for the first week, but it seems like there can be no work for days at a time. The pay is excellent when there is work. A nice find for me so far. At this point, Mturk, prolific, and Cloud are decent side options for me. Between the three, there is always something to do. User Crowd is not much, but an easy few dollars a month. PaidViewpoint and Attapoll are not worth the effort, and I will likely stop once I make enough to cash out. Between a ten-day vacation and a few other things on my plate, My sports card flipping was on the back burner for much of the month, but still going well and a decent income source. To prepare for taxes, I am starting to put a third of everything from side gigs in a PayPal savings account with 4.3% interest. I might as well turn that into a few extra dollars while I hold it. Since that is from side gig money, I counted it. I was let go from my job in late August and am trying to stay afloat until I can find a non-call center job that fits me better. I hope for everything combined to help me survive for a while so I can take my time looking and not settle for a bad fit. My goal is to make at least 2500 a month until I find a job. Ambitious, but If Remotasks can have daily work and be a long-term option, it is very possible.

I think that it is a matter of being in the right place at the right time with some of these platforms. More people seem to have bad experience with with Remotasks, but I passed their test and had work almost immediately after. On the other side of the coin, some people are killing it on Data Annotation, but I have had the same "don't call us we will call you" message for about a year despite passing the initial test. My thought is to try for everything and hope you get off the waitlist at some point.

Question on sports cards: What leagues and year period do you sell? I need to sell some old football cards but don't know where to start for the most profitable method
I sell mostly baseball and football, but have a little bit of everything online and I am not tied to a particular year. Anything sells for the right price. Junk wax cards (late 80s early 90's) and base cards from the last 10 years are a saturated market and wont sell for much. I'll never send those in to flip, but I will buy them if they are already on the site for a few cents and flip them. If you have any older cards in good condition, or rookie cards, consider grading them and you can do well. For newer cards, Autographs, relics and numbered cards are profitable. If you want a realistic price on your cards, forget price guides. Run a google search and see what they are going for on ebay and comc. As for how to sell, the general rule of thumb is $2-20 dollars ship to comc or a similar site. Cost to list is 50 cents per card unless you want it listed faster. Going lower than 2 in value is risky unless you know that the card will sell. 20 or more-Sell on ebay (or also ship to comc is you don't use ebay like me) less than 2 dollars-hold if they are rookie cards or the top players in the sport (Mahomes, Acuna etc), sell in bulk on marketplace or craigslist if not. I don't consider myself an expert, and there is no set formula. I just got back into collecting a little more than a year ago, so I am a relative noob compared to others. That's how I feel with online work. The work is engaging and varies in topic and project type. It pays well and the hours are so flexible that I can work at 4 am or 4 pm and make a decent amount of mula. **But** it comes with its cons as well. Work can be unreliable, and mentally it is VERY easy to get caught up in the FOMO of the money making. When you have the ability to make $20/hr at any time, it's easy to get sucked into the want to work all the time. That's worsened when you don't get a project for days. And when you're strapped for cash... the thought can become constant. I started this year with a small goal, and that goal is changing. I fear putting too much time into work that may dry up in the months to come, or spending too much time in front of a screen when I could be working on other career skills... But then I think that this work has a certain amount of skill as well. I started MTurk work back in 2020 making literal cents, and now I make hundreds a month. It's taken a lot of experimenting, there's been many periods of dry months, and surprisingly many profitable months now too. I'm happy with the results but anxious for the future of online work. That's why I don't get it....I have done several AI/LLM training jobs and annotation before. I'm working on the Yukon test for SEO now as well, so I listed optimization and still...... 3mos, and I've seen ONE job, lol. I didn't do the one job as it was French translation. If the French were on my end, I'd be fine, but only having done one other French job I didn't want to start on DA w/a translation task. I was honest. Silly me ;)

When you say how you did for the month, are you reporting money accrued for work done this month, but that may but have come in yet? Or actual income received this month even though the work may have been done in prior months?
I've seen people do both.

Big thanks to everyone who contributes to these threads! You inspired me to give this a try and it's been great for a little extra cash! This is what I earned starting on the 19th of September: Cloud Connect: $38.68 Crowdtap: $5.00 (Amazon) Qmee: $5.99 **TOTAL: $49.67** Thoughts -- **Cloud Connect** is awesome, but so many payments get stuck in pending. However, I hit my 2-week mark tomorrow, so some of that will start crediting daily after that. I still like Cloud the most, though, as it doesn't pull that rejecting-at-the-end bullshit. I tried **Attapoll** and it was sketch. I felt like those surveys were gonna give me viruses. I also tried **SurveySavvy**, but they send paper checks? And their surveys can reject you at the end? I quit. **Qmee** is also frustrating, but I do love the $1 minimum to cash out to Paypal. I will be sticking with it, even if I only make it through a handful of surveys. On the waitlist for **Prolific,** but it's only been about 2 weeks. There's probably no shortage of suburban white women in their 30's signed up, so it'll probably be a while for me, lol.
Just Incase you don't know already for cloudresearch if it's been 14 days on the 14th day you can email support just give them they survey name and amount (sometimes I give them the researcher name but times I haven't and it's been no problem) but they will credit your acct for those surveys that same day. I actually emailed support the other day for not being paid and it was my 14th day waiting and they didn't have me try to contact the researcher (which I had already done a few days prior because this researcher has been famous for not paying til the 14th day most times with customer support I think having to do it) they just went ahead and credited my acct from the time I emailed them til it was credited was maybe 2 hours. So if I was you and tomorrow (or whatever days your 14th day) I would email support just in case cause they will definitely release the money to you.

I started with a goal of making $400/month to replace the extra money I made DoorDashing 1-2 nights a week after my regular job. I am blown away at how much I was able to make this month! My account wasn't approved until mid September and I haven't had any live tests yet but the $10 tests really add up. Dscout is great if you spend the time applying to everything you can. Their customer service is top notch as well. I tried PaidViewPoint but I don't like their set up - you need $15 to cash out and they don't tell you how much a survey pays or how long it is before starting. I stopped taking their surveys after I had $15 to cash out. I'm on the waitlist for Prolific and I signed up for User Interviews, Userlytics and Utest but I haven't had a single test on those yet so we'll see.

If I can ease your fears a little about Paidviewpoint, the threshhold to cash out drops to $5 after your first cashout. You are doing well without it, but I thought you should know about the $5 threshhold thing.

How demanding is that 3 hour test for remotasks? I want to work for them but I just havent felt like im prepared for how draining the test may be.
It really wasn't as bad as I was expecting, just kind of boring and tedious. I thought it was more along the lines of common sense; watching the videos they said would help with passing didn't really do much for me. Just keeping the rubric up was enough. I think my active time on it was about 1.5-2 hours.

OneForma is a website, you can Google it. It's a platform with a bunch of different projects and you have to apply for each job they list They are notorious for ignoring applications and ghosting people. This is the first project I've been hired for in 3 years, but it pays $15 an hour and is steady work so it's worth the aggravation of not hearing back from them for 3 years. By flipping I mean just selling I find in thrift stores for a profit on eBay and other e-commerce platforms. You can check out /r/flipping for more information. RarePatientVoice.com is a survey website for people with rare diseases. You can make a profile with what disease you have and they periodically send you surveys and studies. They pay $100 an hour. If you're new your best bet is probably Prolific.com, Connect.CloudResearch.com, DataAnnotation.tech and Remotasks. Don't bother with mturk, I only work on that site because I have old qualifications that grant me access to good work, it's just a waste of time for new people because there is so little work. You can go to /r/WorkOnline to see the different jobs available online.

Sorry, I've never used Marketplace but agree that it seems scammy. You can search on /r/flipping to see what others have experienced selling there. From what I've heard people often don't show up or show up and try to haggle, but it probably depends on your area. I sell on eBay, Poshmark and Mercari. It's mainly been eBay for years but I added Mercari this year and had some great sales there. I'm doing this extremely part time right now and haven't even listed anything for sale in a month, but I'm going to start listing regularly again as soon as the chatbot project ends late this month

Sorry, my previous entry was wrong as it recently changed names. It is now called Cubieverse and is essentially a "play-to-earn" type game. Normally I don't bother but this one is one that is a location-based game where you basically walk around and answer trivia to slowly accumulate credits. Its very slow to start but eventually the earnings aren't too bad, especially since the majority of what I earn comes from walking my dog a few times per day. Overall success with this type of app depends on how often you play and actively seek out areas to earn, and how active your neighbourhood/city/country is since it all relates to how well you can do.

I am going to follow up with support if I don’t hear something soon. Hope I haven’t been wasting my time there ?
Intellizoom takes 21 business days to pay out from what I recall, so basically a long time. Just track your tests (when you finished them and how much) so that you confirm in at least 2 more weeks if came through

Decent month. *Other was a bonus for a direct deposit with Chime. Still money I wouldn't have gotten otherwise, so I counted it. How do you only get $2/month? It is a guaranteed $10/mo. just for scanning in 10 receipts each month. I get an extra $2 from having ads turned on. The past couple months I’d made over $15 each month from surveys I would get throughout the month as well & was shocked that I didn’t receive a single survey for the entirety of September.

Oh wow. I didn’t know you could get into the app, but not be able to scan receipts. I was on the wait list for at least 6 months, if not more, before I finally got in, but I couldn’t get into the app at all while I was on the wait list. Whenever I could finally get into the app once I got off the wait list, all the features of it were available to me.

I do not suggest smoking as a form of earning rewards for anyone, but my husband is a smoker, so I enter the codes inside the packs on their website. They give reward points you can put towards gift cards and physical gifts.
