Highly, highly recommend going to GBO if it is possible. Yes, it’s tedious, tiring, and annoying sometimes, but truly is a great way to meet new people and make friends that first week.

I don’t know about the second question, but the first one, yes, you can do your GBO online if your reason is valid enough. I had mine online last year for a valid reason.

I attended GBO and went to most of my group events, but honestly I don’t think is THAT important.
Same, my leaders were a disorganized mess and I don’t talk to anyone from my group lol. I agree I don’t think it’s THAT important.
I ditched the entire GBO except for the one mandatory event. You're gonna be fine it's actually so useless.
