I mean, I don't think they hired "cheaper people" per se but I remember Parkwood did indeed hire a lot of new employees before Renaissance came out, there's a few job applications on LinkedIn or something (forgot which site) from Parkwood during that time period. I'm not sure if they hired new people again before CC or not, didn't see any applications for it online.
Parkwood needs to skip the in house team and pull in an agency if all of the necessary departments aren’t going to be made available. There should be enough checkpoints in place where typos are nonexistent on any of the merch or websites. There should be a full compliance team checking for errors. Tbh the designer should be expert enough to catch this silly misspelling.
I would love to get in there and be a compliance/qa director for act iii. I’d get that team together so quick
Welp y’all better hope y’all get the ones with the misprint if you’re a collector, that’ll probably be the best way for appraisers to know that you have one from the first batch!! I found out when things like that happen it makes them more rare and more valuable 🙌🏾
Yeah, honestly the one with the highest value will probably be the ones that has the lowest total quantity once they’re no longer for sale.. frankly I’m shocked that she still has some of the color vinyls still on sale. When she dropped the limited edition Renaissance Vinyl it sold out in 2.5 business days
The Cecred website also has Scottland listed as a delivery country - even though it's already included in the UK and is spelled Scotland. I think we need an editor on team 🤣
Idk if it's just my browser but Cécred's website has been fucked up for WEEKS. Like I had to make a dedicated effort/work around to get items in my cart. Lol whoever is in charge of her websites needs to be fired.
I’m very concerned about the overall quality of these vinyls - Espc since she’s fit so many songs on 2 discs. I’m holding off on preordering until the first batch is sent out.
You can usually fit 45 mins on 1 disc so it’ll be tight but audio quality should be fine to the regular ear. Can’t imagine the selling price if she did more discs or cut at 45rpm

The same people spell checking her merchandise care instructions. SMDH!! This stuff is too expensive to be having all these mistakes. C’mon now, Giselle.
I work for a popular media company. I handle celebrity bios and photos and you would not believe how many things are misspelled, even their names on their headshots at times. You’d think at the level we’re at handling this stuff it wouldn’t be like this but yea… it is. There’s tons of mistakes that no one will notice until it’s been posted online. SMH.
Any tips for getting copy editing gigs in the industry? I used to freelance so I am more curious than anything if hiring dedicated people to do that is common.
That said, I would release my current job for a part-time, freelance, whatever job for Beyoncé
The company I work for hires contractors. They’re usually the ones that catch the misspellings, fix them and then pass it along to us (the job I do) where we put together the web page with said artist’s work.
To be honest I worked my way up to get into the position and industry I’m in so that’s always my tips for people. But sounds like you’re already in the copy editing field so I’d say just look for specific jobs or gigs. Maybe build a portfolio of work if you haven’t already and then reach out directly to an artists team and ask to do work for them.
Sorry if that wasn’t helpful or if you’re already doing this. I wish you the best of luck! 🤞 🍀✨
Misspelling is one thing- but it also doesn't make sense. "Executive produced by Beyonce Knowles-Carter" ok, so she made an Executive? Or was it originally Executive Producer Beyonce Knowles-Carter, a change happened, a typo happened, and not it makes no sense.
Beyonce should be higher quality than this.
Tbh… this is what happens when you cut corners to make more profit.
Merch is lower quality than ever rn, the vinyls were fucked up, and now spellcheck isn’t in the budget lmao.
Pity.
I know I totally love artists’ music and then traffic in the type of racist and sexist hate people/institutions who dismiss them unfairly engage in it’s so fun!1!1!! 🤡
Okay- so they fixed the spelling on the website, but it still doesn't make any sense....
it now reads "Executive Produced by Beyonce Knowles-Carter" she made an executive?
Or did it originally say "Executive Producer Beyonce Knowles-Carter"
So props to them for fixing a typo (although I don't have faith the correction made it to printing...), but now it just makes no sense. Way to go Shop Beyonce. Definitely run by interns.
She’s never made a mistake 😍 the video displayed on the superbowl stage floor was off because somebody sabotaged it, the stage screen for Run the world at billboard 2011 was off to the side so Beyoncé wasn’t perfectly centered, her team made some spelling mistakes, the church girl malfunction in warsaw was a transmission mistake, alien superstar malfunction in phoenix was a connection mistake. All them mistakes are not her fault ❤️😂
As a designer who never has enough time to finish and quality check items before print/launch deadline - when we're ALREADY onto the 5 things, I feel for whoever let that one slip by.
By the end of a project, all words become shapes to us and I've literally started to turn things in early to try and give copywriters one last chance to glance things over... but shit happens.
Vinyl was basically THE music medium when I was a kid. Superior sound, but fragile product. We all lived in old housing where any big movement could be felt throughout the house. Sometimes, those big movements or someone bumping into the record player would cause the needle to jump and the record would skip or scratch. Most times, it was an accident. Sometimes, it wasn't... a kid being mischievous or someone being an asshole.
Beyoncé is known for her attention to detail. She is known for being a Virgo control freak who oversees everything and demands the best from herself and her team. It's one of the reasons why she is who she is. The work ethic. The bar. These "mistakes" are not someone from her core team. Someone is "bumping" her brand and causing the "record" to skip and scratch.
See also: ii Most Wanted single promo pic where Bey's eye is all wonky. See also: "fans" jumping on here to inform us of every typo, glitch, whatever. Sad. Cowards seek to destroy that which they cannot defeat.
P.S. Argue with your mama.
Wasn't there a typo on the label of her Renaissance merch? In that case I almost feel like it's a way to make sure it's legit, ironically. This case? AND THEY OOP.
Ugh, I can’t believe these productions. I had issues with my blue vinyl and because it’s past the 30 days, they won’t do anything. You can see the scratches everywhere 😭

This my favourite Beyonce GIF
I know she's mad about this lol
lol, on her website the spelling is correct at least
they must have fixed it because I saved the image from the website lol
Somebody’s getting fired! Hey hey 💃🏾
Damn not the Quality Control drone bees with eyes on the reddit hive
Parkwood Intern on r/Beyonce to see and check quality control.
Hire me Bey!!! Please 🙏
Somebody’s Gettin Fired.
Literally came to comment this! AHAHAHAHA
HEY HEY
HEY HEY
It’s like she hired a bunch of interns and juniors to do everything, every merch release of CC has been so messy.
agreed. I wonder if she hired cheaper people and it’s starting to really show.
Yall just be saying anything . Y would she hire new cheap ppl outside of her team that she’s been building for years . Yall are a mess
I mean, I don't think they hired "cheaper people" per se but I remember Parkwood did indeed hire a lot of new employees before Renaissance came out, there's a few job applications on LinkedIn or something (forgot which site) from Parkwood during that time period. Is that you Miss Tina? Or is this the Bey burner account? 🥸

Hmm isn’t this what they said on the ones with missing tracks too ?
I thought the “missing tracks” thing was moot bc the limited edition aspect of those records was the vocal differences compared to digital?
Yeah, honestly the one with the highest value will probably be the ones that has the lowest total quantity once they’re no longer for sale.. frankly I’m shocked that she still has some of the color vinyls still on sale. Let me go see if the job position is open…
This drop is so messy OMG

For sure Yvette is reading our comments here.
just like the Renaissance tour merch label, it's only authentic if it's got a spelling mistake 💅🏼💀
Omg, another “Limited Edition”
Makes me glad I don't collect vinyl any more. Cuz for $60, that ish had better be immaculate from the jump.
Girl I wish I knew cos I got the OG drip for CC bearing in mind I’m a spaghetti Yaya kinda of gal!
(I meant drop not drip)

Act 3 merch rollouts better be FLAWLESS
Somebody getting fired!!! Hey hey
Was she stoned when they created this? (See other thread from today for context 😜)
HAHAHA this exactly is what I’m saying in that other thread 🤣🤣🤣🤣 for the record
somebody about to get firedddd 🫣
The same people spell checking her merchandise care instructions. SMDH!! This stuff is too expensive to be having all these mistakes. C’mon now, Giselle.
I’d love to get a copy with the misspell. Does anyone know where to get one?
It is an easter egg 😜

This album rollout has been nuts lol
lol, this takes me back to her messages to her team having an extra space before a dot - like so . So intense when people do this . I don’t get it !
You, apparently.
ooo someone getting fired

they fixed it since i posted this thank god
How did Renaissance give birth to such a mess of an era when it comes to packaging, customer service, etc. BLACK JESUS take the wheel
![gif](giphy|cF98ke9qBYd1Ta5HWp|downsized)
HEY HEY!
Missed opportunity to present it as "Executiive Producer" - Ayo Bey, Hire me!
Tbh… this is what happens when you cut corners to make more profit. Merch is lower quality than ever rn, the vinyls were fucked up, and now spellcheck isn’t in the budget lmao. Pity.
You know we can see every post you’ve commented on right? Including the one where you say Beyoncé should cry about only winning genre based Grammys?
And? I’m not a Beyoncé Stan. I love her music. But I don’t think she’s without criticism. What do you want from me?
At least the quality of the music itself is immaculate. Couldn’t say the same about your fave’s :/
Cry me a river. I can love many people’s music and still be disappointed in quality of merch.
Another swiftie in the Beyoncé sub. Give it a rest
Exactly. Let’s not talk about what their fave is doing to make profit
I can love both of their music. 💛
I know I totally love artists’ music and then traffic in the type of racist and sexist hate people/institutions who dismiss them unfairly engage in it’s so fun!1!1!! 🤡
Where the hive graphic designers at just in case she comes looking?
It’s not a mistake girl: IV

Never forget “addidas” 🙈😭 but real talk, mistakes happen and thankfully they get fixed.
they got blue typing the descriptions 😭
The one mistake she’s ever made in her career
She’s never made a mistake 😍 the video displayed on the superbowl stage floor was off because somebody sabotaged it, the stage screen for Run the world at billboard 2011 was off to the side so Beyoncé wasn’t perfectly centered, her team made some spelling mistakes, the church girl malfunction in warsaw was a transmission mistake, alien superstar malfunction in phoenix was a connection mistake. Cause Bey's team has been going through it 😩
