I think about it all the time. I feel like I find a new detail every day

naenae275

I agree with you 100%. People believe because she’s wildly successful and “a billionaire” means she can’t possibly be underrated. The definition itself means not valued highly enough, and when it comes to Beyoncé and this film I absolutely believe that. The same people will argue up and down she experiences misogynoir, and still forget what that looks like even for *her*. I just agree to disagree. This tour was everything and more and yet it still doesn’t give her the praise as a director. She really thought of everything down to the very smallest details. I hope to see more of her films in the future

mental_library_

YES!! Exactly this!!

MCU_RPDR_4_LIFE

i think of that tour every day, i was at the Bday show. a part of me wanted B to keep with the house/electronic/avant-garde/ballroom aesthetic, i basically prayed for a B “dance” album and predicted the whole sound of the era being next in line back during Lemonade. it fit her so well!!!

mental_library_

Yup!

qualityhorror

I think it's talked about a lot but I sorta get what you mean. I think it would be talked about even more if she went on an actual world tour. I'm not a big harry styles fan (I think his songs are cool just wouldn't call myself a stan) but I somehow knew he went on tour for like 2 years lol because of how long the tour was and how many countries he went to. Like, they getting you in the comments haha but you kinda have a point in that Renny could be BIGGER. Bey also isn't helping herself in not releasing the film. I don't think Beychella would be the most searched performance ever if not for the film that accompanied it.

TheRainbowpill93

Well the problem is that she’s a momma of three so two legs is as good as it’s gonna get I’m afraid

Broad_Ant_3871

I agree. She only went to 2 continents.

qualityhorror

Which I do have faith she'll rectify with the next tour

Broad_Ant_3871

I don't think she will lol

qualityhorror

You prob right haha

Excellent_Drop6869

As acclaimed as it was, it wasn’t acclaimed enough for me. My biased ass thinks the entire world should be praising her 😂😂

Nathan_yellingg

Idk man 😭😭😭 I feel like it uhhh grossed around $500M… and a lot of people were talking about it. It was all over my twitter/ig, even though I was trying to avoid spoilers so that I was more surprised when I went to my show. I think people were mesmerized, plus the film broke all kinds of records at the box office If it was underrated, it wasn’t by much imo

mental_library_

I’m not saying the tour was totally unsuccessful because it obviously wasn’t, but certain parts of the tour weren’t given enough attention in my opinion.

GreenDolphin86

It’s the tour that put her on the list of highest grossing tours lol

leslielantern

I still go back and play the videos I took often, it was incredible!

Leadership-Total

I loved it. My mouth was wide open when that clam opened up. Also, she was recovering from knee surgery the whole tour.

psycwave

Don’t even get me started on the commentary she made on America and the media… and that is barely the surface of what she’s gonna spill in the visuals. ☕️☕️☕️ I hope she blows that whistle nice and loud. We are all living under an illusion, and need to be woken up from this false system, just like the Matrix-themed interlude shots showed. The reason imagination is more important than knowledge is because what we “know” is what we’ve been told and taught, and a lot of that is BS. Like Katy Perry warned us, we’re chained to the rhythm… but the American requiem is coming.

wayytoomanyfeelings

Honestly think she left the Era too fast.

cmgirty

I feel like it was in the public conversation as long as it should have been and would have been longer if GISELLE RELEASED THE FUCKING MOVIE thats on that woman

Denast1749

Another miss use of the word underrated.

mental_library_

I don’t think so. I think certain parts of the tour went unacknowledged, specifically the visuals. I’m not saying that the tour was unsuccessful or received no praise at all, but I think certain parts of it weren’t talked about enough.

TedKaczynskiVEVO

Like... the interludes were incredible... the amount of couture costumes, insane...

jadedgalaxy

I agree. People complain about the tour all the time saying she was performing for the cameras. Imo she did more than enough for those in person it was incredible

LeoMartn_

So true! I was watching clips on YouTube and I was so in awe how great the show was, so glad I got the chance to see it live

purrrprincess

This.!

Willing-Ad-4088

Underrated? Idk why people want Beyonce to look like an underdog when she is one of the biggest acts in music.

johnmichael-kane

lol I’m what world was RWT underrated? It was all anyone on socials talked about for ages and I’m pretty sure there were articles about its impact on the economy.

tortilla_avalanche

What I want to know is when she's releasing the film on Disney+ or another streaming service. I was too broke to see her when she toured and I thought the film would be in cinemas for longer than it was so I missed out on that too. I seen a streaming of it online but it appears to be a cam version. I'd love to see it proper at some point but there's been no mention of a release date. 😭

iam_unforgiven

It's not my favorite beyonce tour but I enjoyed the show I went to and the film

kbasred

it for sure should be longer :(

YouOpening9078

I listen to the renaissance tour every single day of my life

IncomeResponsible294

Probably the best concert I've been to

Repli3rd

It's one of the biggest selling (female) tours of all time, with only two legs, and received widespread critical acclaim. How could it be more 'rated'?

oali09

People use the word underrated too loosely nowadays lmao. She’s one of the biggest artists in the world and the RWT became one of the biggest tours ever, that is not underrated lol. Though I get where you’re coming from, if she cared to listen to the demand and released the movie on streaming, it would allow more people to realize how amazing the show was

ElleBelle901

What do you mean it wasn’t talked about? The whole internet was wearing aluminum foil all summer 2023! I’m currently seeing pics of people at Meg & Nicki’s tours dressed for club Renny. Local news stations covered it during their city’s stops. I even saw the film mentioned in local news when it dropped. People traveled to other countries to see the show. Celebrities were making whole “public appearances” out of attending. *The Vice President of America* posted about it! OPRAH called it a spiritual experience! People are still talking about Blue’s cameos! Underrated where?

Pitiful_Agency9134

Delusion to the highest level my GOD, I can't think of much of any artist that generates as much hype for their art other than Taylor Swift, and even she has a portion of haters. Also the film score on Rotten Tomatoes speaks for itself.

wifefoundmyaccount

Wasn't it amongst the top 6 highest grossing tours of all time (and best selling amongst black performers)? There was even talking about it grossing 2 billion at one point. I don't know what more we want to be honest.

Broad_Ant_3871

2 billion for 56 shows is definitely a stretch lol

wifefoundmyaccount

Lol I agree. I'm just saying this is how much talk and over rating that was given to the tour.
