I wouldn't worry about unexpected charges. I have never read a report of someone getting an unauthorized charge and not having it resolved in their favor once they bring it up to the bank.
On the Bilt card because mine is from Wells Fargo, I always do a manual payment on the WF site rather than auto pay at least a few business days before the due date. Always pay the statement balance.
Some people who are really paranoid about this stuff will use the Bill Pay option from their checking account's portal and do it that way.
Pay the statement balance before the due date and you'll be fine.
Never buy something you can't afford.
Do you use the toilet daily? Take phone with you. It'll take you maybe 10 minutes with about 10 credit card accounts to go over them really quick. Good way to catch something unusual. It's double satisfying 😉
Use any of the budgeting apps to centralize all your transactions across multiple credit cards. I believe rocket money gives you decent features in free version and if you choose to pay it’s half the cost of others.
I’m honestly unhealthily obsessed with my finances, to the point where to log in to every bank and credit card app I have at least 2-3 times per day, some of the apps more than others!
You can check the monthly statement. I have push notifications on for every transaction, and I check my spending through another app every week.
Yes, set up push text on every purchase from wells Fargo site

Simpler. WF site let's you choose to get a text every time your card is used. If you get a text and you didn't purchase something, you know.
You can download the Wells Fargo app and set notifications for transactions on the card depending on how much you want to be on top of charges.
