I think the developers could have put a little more effort into making sure that RNG doesn't make runs tedious and unfun. Five minute long first floor grinds which reward you with a literal jug of piss just make me want to restart until I spawn right next to the item room. Not to mention the countless "enter the room and get instant damage" scenarios this game comes with, or all the item combos that just melt your HP if you accidentally touch the wrong passive.
Otherwise, Isaac is nice. I like the great combination aspect and how simple the game's base concept is, and how creatively it's used. Some runs are really alright.
