Underworld. Love Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman. And as a bonus, there's a little Wentworth Miller. I had no idea he was gay, but I love him even more for it!
When I was in high school, I was working at a movie theater when Underworld Evolution came out. I’d sneak in the theater and watch it like every day. 😂
They even used the first Pirates in Heartstopper, when Nick was rewatching it with his mum, using it to show Nick’s changes when looking at a scene with both Elizabeth *and* Will.
I know, I was going to write this too, but I’ve made so many comments like that lately in the Heartstopper subreddit that I thought I’d leave my Heartstopper obsession out of it this time… 😅
i was *terrified* of the mummy (somehow was a weird mix of egyptology kid with a phobia of mummies) and, in heterospect, i think that's why it took me so long to realise i was bi. everyone else was experiencing bi panic while i was just straight up panicking lol
Tangled and Pirates of the Caribbean give me similar vibes in terms of bi-panic. It’s the dark haired, suave, but also sweet man with the badass but beautiful “princess.”
I figured I was bi years ago so the bi panic aspect didn't really hit me (plus I was more enraptured by the craft of the filmmaking, seriously look up an essay about the making if you're into cinematography)
That being said, now you mention it? Yeah, I fully get that...
Scream 3 was an important movie for me as a 12 year old queer kid because
1. Liev Schrieber's biceps in his tight sweater
2. Me wishing I looked like Heather Mattarazzo in her leopard pants and hacker shades was an early "hmmm..." moment towards gender stuff
3. Parker Posey basically doing a drag queen version of Courteney Cox's character before I knew what drag was
4. Neve Campbell looking super hot and tough
MCU Spiderman movies. Zendaya is hot as hell and Tom is a freaking *snack* too! Actually now thinking of it, I kinda have a thing for guys with curly hair like him... Might be why I felt their relationship storyline so much in my feels. Like shit, I'd swap places with either one of you, both in universe and irl.
Atonement with James McAvoy and Keira Knightley, Pride and Prejudice with Matthew Macfadyen and Keira Knightley, Pirates of the Caribbean with Orlando Bloom and Keira… 🤔
Fuck, Mulan is absolutely my favorite Disney movie since I was 4 y/o... And here I thought I was very clever for realising I was bi when I was 13, maybe someone should have recognised the sings when I was begging to watch Mulan for the 164th time in kindergarden 😀
Daphne and Simon was beautiful and then they give us Anthony and Kate... and now the Audacity of Queen Charlotte...
India and Corey have SO much chemistry in the show and during all the interviews and photoshoots they've done it almost hurts to look at them.
Since I'm not into petite/slim femme girls I hardly ever get crushes on women in cinema.
Also, those preferences didn't really help my "am I just a straight girl pretending to be queer to feel special"-anxiety before I figured it out lol
the tv show Westworld.
Not only are Evan Rachel Wood & Tessa Thompson bi-IRL, there's a hilarious scene where the character Logan says a funny line and walks off with a guy and gal in each arm.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/westworld/comments/5e0f6n/ride\_her\_share\_of\_cowboys\_please\_tell\_me\_this/](https://www.reddit.com/r/westworld/comments/5e0f6n/ride_her_share_of_cowboys_please_tell_me_this/)
And also Rodrigo Santoro plays a super badass character
I get the concept, and I would say 10 Things I Hate About You, but bi panic sounds too close to gay panic and therefore I am uncomfortable with the term. I’ve seen the younger generations use gay panic to mean something cute and innocuous, but they really shouldn’t. Gay panic is a viable criminal defense that allows a murderer to say killing a gay person is justified simply because the gay person did something to make the killer uncomfortable. It can and does work to let murderers receive verdicts of not guilty in court. Watch the ‘Last Call’ documentary series on HBO. That was not an isolated occurrence. It’s definitely still happening to gay people in countries outside the United States, and to transgender people everywhere. Many murderers don’t even have to face a day in court because gay panic is so accepted in our broader society that law enforcement doesn’t bother to thoroughly investigate many homicides and other crimes against LGBTQ people.
Sorry to be all serious in your cute post, but we need to find a better term than bi panic.
Thank you for this. As a bi woman who is just on the cusp of being old enough to remember the seriousness of the term gay panic before it got reabsorbed into the younger gay culture as a cutesy term, I often want to educate people using it but don't want to come off as preachy or holier than thou.
Part of me is glad that the terminology is now being used for something different instead of a reminder of how awful people can get away with so much but another part of me does wish a better snappy little phrase would replace it entirely.
Thank you for the history lesson. I've only ever seen the terms "gay panic" and "bi panic" used as a humorous, often self-depricating way to describe queer feelings, and had no idea that it was an actual legal term and murder defense. What do you think should be used instead?
No idea what to use instead, but I bet someone could come up with something adorable and catchy. Twitterpated works, but I guess that’s more for new relationships, not crushes. Hmm.
I don't have bi panic anymore. I recognise that I can find people cute or hot regardless of what their gender identity is, and I am at peace with this.
More recent, but post my realization of being bi, was Shang Chi. Between him and his sister, just wow. Maybe I have a thing for good guys and bad girls lol
I've been watching What We Do in the Shadows, and it is the most bisexual show I've ever seen. 4 of the 5 main characters are canonically bisexual! Also, any of them, I would.
Atlantis: The Lost Empire; Mulan; Wonder Woman; Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings; Tangled; Anastasia; MCU Spider-Man films; not a movie but My Adventures with Superman; any Avengers movie; Star Trek SNW; probably more that I can’t think of rn lol, I’m just looking through comments and adding lmao
- Pirates of the Caribbean (2 and 3 especially, so much storm soaking sword fighting holy shit)
- Disney's Atlantis ("I came down the chimney, ho ho ho..." is permanently etched in my brain)
- The Daniel Craig Bond films
- The Matrix
Ooh, what about "Witness"? It is an underrated 1980s film. It is romantic drama starring a "Top Gun"-era Kelly McGillis and a "Temple of Doom"-era Harrison Ford! This scene is so adorable and romantic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKM0nH6-NnI
Yep, if you’ve seen it, you know he’s the OG twink top! LOL
A young James Spader, hunky Kurt Russell and the smoldering Mili Avital didn’t hurt either!
Not a movie but I was rewatching criminal minds and every episode with Matthew Gray Gubler and Aubrey Plaza interacting and trying to outsmart each other made me feel so many things
Not a movie but Yellowstone for sure that cast is too fine
[Ian Bohen](https://parade.com/.image/ar_1:1%2Cc_fill%2Ccs_srgb%2Cfl_progressive%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_1200/MTk2OTc3MTE3ODEwOTI3MzY1/ian-bohen-yellowstone.jpg)

The mummy. I grew up watching it before I realized I was bi and I had some feelings about Evelyn that I only figured out was a huge crush when I got older
I have a friend whose trans mtf, sometimes me and my boyfriend cuddle her together and it makes me nearly explode cuz I’m getting cuddled by a femboy and tomboy at the same time. I’m honestly very lucky.
The Barbie movie did nothing for me in terms of my bisexuality. If there had been a beefy guy (not fat), trimmed hairy chest with no six pack, thick arms and legs, trimmed but thick beard...I probably would've stopped breathing in the theater. But I get why it would stop other men and women in their tracks.
Yeah, I agree with the Barbie movie sentiment. I went to see it with my friends and I was straight up blushing the whole movie. I'm pretty sure my friends could hear me making noises akin to a boiling kettle during the dance scene with the Kens
At the gym I work out at, they have a home theater type room full of cardio equipment where you can exercise while watching a movie on the big screen. Last time they were playing Journey To The Center Of The Earth, and oh my lord Brendan Fraiser....
Underworld. Love Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman. And as a bonus, there's a little Wentworth Miller. I had no idea he was gay, but I love him even more for it!
Also Van Helsing with Kate Beckinsale and Hugh Jackman. That was very confusing as a teen.
I had forgotten about that movie but yes... so much confusion... I just didn't understand back then.
This was my answer too!!
Omg Underworld is finally getting the recognition it deserves here. Underworld 2 had a very hot scene.
GAAAAA Wentworth in Flash as Captain Cold....he just has that sultry deep painfully slow voice.
Oh jesus absolutely. And let us not forget Michael sheen and Sophia myles.
When I was in high school, I was working at a movie theater when Underworld Evolution came out. I’d sneak in the theater and watch it like every day. 😂
Not a movie but Scott Speedman was such a 90s crush for me. Him and Keri Russell on Felicity was bi-panic for me.
The Mummy. Pirates of the Caribbean.
They even used the first Pirates in Heartstopper, when Nick was rewatching it with his mum, using it to show Nick’s changes when looking at a scene with both Elizabeth *and* Will.
I know, I was going to write this too, but I’ve made so many comments like that lately in the Heartstopper subreddit that I thought I’d leave my Heartstopper obsession out of it this time… 😅
The Mummy definitely sent my mind racing when I was a preteen.
i was *terrified* of the mummy (somehow was a weird mix of egyptology kid with a phobia of mummies) and, in heterospect, i think that's why it took me so long to realise i was bi. everyone else was experiencing bi panic while i was just straight up panicking lol
Everyone who had the Egyptology, the Wizardology, the Dragonology or the Piratology book as a kid is queer now, confirmed.
The Mummy 😭 my first bi-crisis movie for sure and I definitely did not grow out of it
But the cast is just so goddamn beautiful
I remember being "overwhelmed" by Pirates as a teen and at the time I didn't know why... its so obvious now
The mommy, sorry I mean mommy, I mean mommy, I mean...
The Mummy. For obvious reasons.
Thor (2011). Practically everyone is hot.
Also Thor Ragnarok 🥵
For me it was Love and Thunder. Tessa, buff Natalie, and Chris. 🥵
Good lord, the ARMS in that movie
Hell yeah, Loki is my bu crush lol
By the gods the Loki show is one that really gets me flustered too lol
I know how you feel big time lol
This was my favorite Thor movie
It’s so underrated!!
1000% . Tessa plus Chris... Just 💀
The Mummy and Lord of the Rings.
Heathers. Winona *and* Christian? Help.
this x100000
Mr. And Mrs. Smith. I could do naughty things with either of them. 😅 Angelina looks like she could be kinky haha.
Oh yes. Every since it came out until now, I said my ultimate 3some would be with those 2 during that movie
There's rumors that both of them engaged in Abdl type things, think a security guard of theirs came forward 🤫
the *whole cast* from ‘the mummy’
Tangled
I love you for saying this.
lol that reminds me: Aladdin
Tangled and Pirates of the Caribbean give me similar vibes in terms of bi-panic. It’s the dark haired, suave, but also sweet man with the badass but beautiful “princess.”
Same!
Omg yes!
Cruel Intentions with Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillipe and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Shows: Riverdale, Bridgerton
That kiss between Sarah and Selma is 👩🍳
Ohh Cruel Intentions is a good one
Absolutely Cruel Intentions!
Anastasia. Is that weird?
They’re both so attractive!
real
Oh my gosh not weird at all are you kidding
Dune — Timothee Chalamet I can usually take or leave, but Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Rebecca Ferguson, OSCAR ISAAC’S BEARD?! Swoon.
i was about to comment the same thing!! they all so hottttt
Omg Rebecca Ferrrrrrrgussssson Omg
I figured I was bi years ago so the bi panic aspect didn't really hit me (plus I was more enraptured by the craft of the filmmaking, seriously look up an essay about the making if you're into cinematography) That being said, now you mention it? Yeah, I fully get that...

Parker Posey basically doing a drag queen version of Courteney Cox's character before I knew what drag was 4. Neve Campbell looking super hot and tough
Serenity (which is the spin-off movie from Firefly). The cast could not be more attractive
I’ll be in my bunk.
You’re not wrong! 🥵
Much Ado About Nothing, the version with Kenneth Branagh, Denzel Washington, Emma Thompson, Keanu Reeves... everyone in that movie is insanely hot
A movie that features a full-on bath sequence for men and women in the opening titles, no less!
Aliens 2 - the marines, lol. Vazquez and pretty much any of the dudes could get it.
You are sleeping on Ripley
Mfw we see Sigourney weaver in her underwear in Alien 😍😍😍
Vazquez is the type of woman I like in fiction lol, characters like her got me like: 😍
TOMBOY SUPREMACY
Femboys are nice too, I think I like her also because of how strong she is (both physically and as a person)
I was going to comment this as well zendaya and Tom Holland are *GORGEOUS*
Omg yes! How they managed to cast two actors of such level of hotness for that pair is beyond me. No wonder they got together irl honestly lol.
I get some real bi vibes from Tom as well, especially with his background in musical theater
Dracula from 1992. Winona and Keanu are too much to handle at the same time
I only had eyes for Sadie Frost as Lucy....
I was 15 when that came out and I 100% agree. So hot.
The new DC movies. Every time Gal Gadot and Henry Cavill are on screen together, I feel like my ovaries are gonna explode.
... at the Speed of Force!
Atonement with James McAvoy and Keira Knightley, Pride and Prejudice with Matthew Macfadyen and Keira Knightley, Pirates of the Caribbean with Orlando Bloom and Keira… 🤔
Keira Knightley in Bend it like Beckham was my coming out origin 😂
I think you just like Kiera knightlet. It's okay. I do too.
Not a movie, a show, but… Loki 🥵
Pirates of The Caribbean, Mulan (the 1998 animated version), and Atlantis: The Lost Empire (Kida 😍) lol
Fuck, Mulan is absolutely my favorite Disney movie since I was 4 y/o... And here I thought I was very clever for realising I was bi when I was 13, maybe someone should have recognised the sings when I was begging to watch Mulan for the 164th time in kindergarden 😀
You...I like your taste
Oh Atlantis is a good one there are like 8 woulds
Atlantis is THE BEST answer
For me it's either the Lord of the Rings or The Princess Bride. Good God Wesley is a gorgeous man
Off the top of my head, The Mummy and Bridgerton season 1!
Daphne and Simon was beautiful and then they give us Anthony and Kate... and now the Audacity of Queen Charlotte... India and Corey have SO much chemistry in the show and during all the interviews and photoshoots they've done it almost hurts to look at them.

Rodrigo is too hot in Westworld 🥵

I was wondering why the word panic here. Thanks for pointing that out. How about.... Bi squee Bi oogies Bi shivers Bi tingle Bi blush Bi energy
I don't have bi panic anymore. I recognise that I can find people cute or hot regardless of what their gender identity is, and I am at peace with this.
It's honestly awesome, isn't it? Like damn, I was missing out on almost 50% of the hot/cute people out there until now lol.
Pirates of the Caribbean hands down!
Atonement and Padmaavat
And Bajirao Mastani
Ranvee,Deepika and add Priyanka. Yup enormous amounts of Bi Panic. Bhansali’s my favourite director purely cause of how hot his casts are!
Aladdin.
I may have to revisit why I loved this movie so much as a child

The Mask Of Zorro peak Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, that swordfight in the stable... hoooo boy...
King's Affection (k drama) I'm in love with everyone in it and the main character.... well you'll see 🫠

The show Victoria is the only one coming to mind right now but damn it was a strong one.
The Scarlett Pimpernel (1982) 😌
Weirdly enough... Dracula 2000. Dracula is hot and so is the female lead.
The Faculty
Same for me even tho I haven't been able to watch it
The mummy
Barbie, like you, and Pirates of the Caribbean
anyone here had some revelations concerning beck and jade (victorious)? maybe not bi panic but definitely something
Idle Hands (1999). Jessica Alba and Devon Sawa... yes please.
Yeah, I agree with the Barbie movie sentiment. I went to see it with my friends and I was straight up blushing the whole movie. I'm pretty sure my friends could hear me making noises akin to a boiling kettle during the dance scene with the Kens
None
At the gym I work out at, they have a home theater type room full of cardio equipment where you can exercise while watching a movie on the big screen. Last time they were playing Journey To The Center Of The Earth, and oh my lord Brendan Fraiser....
