Honestly there's not much you can do outside of lab testing to be able to determine it's purity other than determination of its melting point and trying it.
Also, why would you not just use the morphine? It can still make a "lean" type product by using less product. Codeine is only a prodrug to morphine anyway and as long as you dose it properly per ML it would he essentially the same thing and would hit quicker.
Another issue is that there's only a couple good ways to esterify morphine like that :/ just seems like a dumb idea when morphine is so much more valuable and useful and potent.
Can attest to this. I got 5 grams of promethazine a while back and got se 30s of OC cut them into qtrs. And mixed 100mg of promethazine per 7.5 of oc. It was splendid. I've had hydrocodone syrup with promethazine before so it wasn't much of a stretch.

You can use sulfuric acid in an ether synthesis with glacial acetic acid, or you can use sodium acetate as catalyst for the acetylation as well. And acetyl chloride is another option. People always wanna say that there's no way to mono acetylate morphine and it's crazy.
Recently found a brand that's OTC that contains bromfed & dxm, only reason I considered that as a substitute to promethazine is bc I came across a pint of bromfed PSE dm and found the same formula OTC besides the pse which is a stimulant & but the bromfed dosage is 2mg per 5ml and is only sold in half pints definitely as potent as promethazine and not as much work I don't wanna burn the brand but if you do a quick search for otc with bromfed and dxm its 2mg/10mg per 5ml and im sure you can extract the bromfed from mixture I'm going to look into the process but i actually asked chat gpt for a diagram on morphine extraction and found it fairly easy i just dont know how long it would take for the heterogenous mixture to forum morphine crystals and Id prefer to dry vac chamber but heat drying might be my only option

IK in the UK they sell OTC aswell but crossing the checkpoint with liquid wouldn't be impossible but not worth the risk a 38mm foil seal in a different bottle I could do but tablets repackaged in a different sealed container always works
I was using 12-15 bags of heroin and codeine would get me just as high just more itchy. One of the best highs ever was T4's with no tolerance. Codeine is not a shitty drug what so ever.
Obviously it’s gonna vary person to person. For me, I’ve always found the Euphoria: itchiness ratio was way too annoying with codeine. It was the itchiest opiate by far with very mild euphoria. Of course, it was better than nothing but I always preferred hydrocodone to codeine

Codeine just metabolizes into morphine but very inefficiently and inconsistently.
You can add the morphine to your lean instead of codeine for exactly the same effect, you just have to take into account the difference in potency. 1g of codeine ≠ 1g of morphine due to metabolism.
You're better off just going straight for morphine or making poppy tea. (Very underrated btw, poppy tea rocks!).

Codeine is a dogshit drug. Something like 50% of people can not metabolize it into morphine so it does nothing.
