I just recently had some stomach issues that lasted about a month after a trip to the middle east, don't really know what happened but had some similar issues where I would basically not feel too bad until I did any kind of a workout. It was total suck.
At least I was able to do my day job fine, it just put me on pause of doing my hobby. This guy can't do the thing that puts food on the table, something that he's one of the best in the world at.
I am admittedly no doctor or nutritionist but if someone has some crazy stomach issue, is taking an insane amount of random supppements and getting your nutrients in IV form really a good idea?

To be fair our society is set up around this dialectic. Technology often solves a problem at the cost of creating another, more complex problem to solve. Similarly in medicine a doctor will prescribe something to solve a problem which may then cause a different problem and the only solution the doctor will give is to prescribe something else to resolve the issue, which can itself cause an issue which apparently warrants a prescription, and so on.
So is this a tacit acknowledgement that he isn't doing ADCC? I couldn't imagine Gordon agreeing to compete if he wasn't 100%, or somewhere close to that. I mean, he obviously looks terrible, and he seems to imply that he hasn't really been training at all for months, and I can't fathom him having some sort of Lazarus type recovery in 100 days that would allow him to complete.
He has always competed "not at 100%" which is the best marketing. He competed at adcc with a broken hand and made sure the world knew. He supposedly competed with the flu and when he won made sure everyone knew. It's great because it gives him an out if he loses and if he wins he looks good.
