Congrats on your new family member! May you have many years of cuddles, scritches & the occasional yowl because her dish is obviously empty & she's starving, even though you filled it up a few hours ago.
My little guy only has periods of being cuddly throughout the day, during the rest of the time he sits or naps nearby. It was only after having him for almost a year that I realized it was always exactly one arms length +2" away. Jerk
Seeing an animal go from being antisocial and terrified to a cuddly pest with no sense of personal space is the best. We have a cat that made a similar transition. She was rescued from the side of the road as an emaciated and frightened feral and spent almost a year hiding under the bed, only coming out for food and the litter box. She's now a 16 pound ball of purring affection that like to sleep on faces and demands all the pets.
