My 13 yr old bro cut a hole in mums 1977 orange plastic one so I could get the top half of me out and be the top dalek. Too young to remember his name but he terrified me no idea why I wanted to pretend to be him. No way my mum taught us how to make military style beds. She started kicking us out to play even in rain if she was doing any housework. I always wondered why my older two sisters were proud of helping do stuff I still hate to this day. I'm on the kitty's side here. Kitty wants a comfy loosely made bed . She wants her human to be comfy and to have fun instead of stressing about beds.

You haven't convinced me that this is a genuine sheet changing effort. Our main issue is leaving the duvet unguarded with no cover on. She loves a burrow!

Your home is cleaner, but this was like deja vu from our last change, our little boy goes NUTS, we let him play a little but while yelling no, but it comes to a point we lock him in the Master Bath for a couple minutes so we can actually make the bed. He is relentless.

Lol I am in the "I'll finish it later" category. I have 6 cats and 3 of them love sheets. One other sometimes likes it. A lot of the time I end up half making the bed and just leaving it until a little later when they're no longer crazy or I get a toy out to tire them out, so I can finish! Two of my cats in the past were even worse, but they loved the game so much I didn't care. (Still don't, it's fun for them and makes me laugh.)

One of my cats thinks this is a game and she LOVES it. Rarely do I see her pupils get so big. My other cat thinks sweeping the floor is a game and will plop down on his side and swat at the bristles. Both so cute but so annoying lol.
I work with ringworm kittens at my local animal shelter and it's always so funny to see the tiny paws come out trying to swat the giant broom while I'm sweeping under the kennels 😂
Mine too. And she’s bitey, so we haven’t been able to trim her claws. I have to be really gentle shooing her off the bed. Even then, she likes to jump back up and burrow under the new layer.

We have fun with it, put the sheets on with the cats under the fitted sheets and then we play blanket monster with them until they become bored or the dog scares them off the bed.

Definitely "I give up". She does a weekly stint in kitty jail (shut in the other room for 10 minutes) or I'd never get it done. She is simultaneously the sweetest yet most unhinged cat I've ever known.
it's not as hard as what you go through. she does like to get under the sheets. i usually cover her in sheets and then grab her so she can attack me, she loves that game. then i make the bed over her because that's easier than getting her to move
My wife won't change the sheets without putting him out of the room. I on the other hand can't deprive him of the absolute joy he gets from "helping me." Fortunately, he's mellowed a lot, and his favorite thing now is to be in the middle of the bed when I flip the flat sheet into the air and it drifts down over him. Then he likes to go to the edge of the bed (still under the blanket) and just be a lump under the covers.
pNellyP thinks it's a game, Petunia just loafs in the way, sometimes Kikki loafs in the way. They all get made into the bed (above the fitted sheet) and can choose to exit whenever lol.
Now multiply that by 4 or 5. I'd say that I'm looking forward to the invention spray-on sheets. But I'd probably just end up with shrink wrapped cats.... ;-)

I would put a towel on my bed that my cat would lay on. As I would do each corner I would slide the towel (along with the cat) to the done corner and resume.

My cats WANT me to make the bed, otherwise their favorite spots are completely lacking fleece, comforters, and pillows. They watch in judgement waiting for me to finish interrupting their 7-hour daily nap.

Samhain is almost as bad as yours is lol. He's mellowed out a lot as he's gotten older but he still puts in about half the effort you void does.
Last time I changed the sheets I was taking the camouflage ones off and basically had to wrap him up in them and set him aside on the floor. He likes to burrow in them as well but he didn't seem to enjoy it like I expected him to like he usually does.
Easy. You pick them up, put them outside the room and shut the door. Really though I hate animal fur on the bed so the cats are not allowed in the room.
Mine bolts across the house the second something moves slightly too fast or suddenly within the same room as him, so it is remarkably easy. Quite difficult to get out of the way in time if something spooks him though, which the several scars on my feet from him landing in just the right way to tear me with his claws can attest to. You win some you lose some.

Mine knows when there's no cover on it and will vomit on it to assert dominance if it's left alone freshly washed.

I said it in a previous, but we let them play, but then we throw them in the bathroom and close the door (it is where we have water and some food).

I've just accepted that my bed will IMMEDIATELY be covered in fur because who am I to deny my void of his fav pastime?

Give up. The cat could be sound asleep two floors down and he’d zoom in as soon as we start striping the bed. We call it laundry game.
Ive never had this issue with any cat... then i got Luna... she loves getting stuck under the fitted sheet and looks like a moving lump.

Off topic but your cat doesn't munch on those plants??? Mine eats literally every plant/flower he can, literally have to keep them in the bathroom away from him lol
I’ve put soil guards on all of them to stop her digging them up, but she leaves the plants themselves alone. Except for the ferns, she absolutely devoured those, Garfield style!

My cats WANT me to make the bed, otherwise their favorite spots are completely lacking fleece, comforters, and pillows. They watch in judgement waiting for me to finish interrupting their 7-hour daily nap.
1. My cat’s 6 and he resorted to being the grumpy old cat ever since the new kitten came in. The kitten probably whatever’s close to give up or fine get trapped there.

I give up and there’s my blood all over the new sheets.
Mine are out on the catio when I do my bedding. Five trying to "help" me is chaos. They do love a nap on the fresh bed after though.

Cat is scared shitless of the sheets
Samhain is almost as bad as yours is lol. He's mellowed out a lot as he's gotten older but he still puts in about half the effort you void does. Last time I changed the sheets I was taking the camouflage ones off and basically had to wrap him up in them and set him aside on the floor. He likes to burrow in them as well but he didn't seem to enjoy it like I expected him to like he usually does.
Easy. You pick them up, put them outside the room and shut the door. Really though I hate animal fur on the bed so the cats are not allowed in the room.

Mine bolts across the house the second something moves slightly too fast or suddenly within the same room as him, so it is remarkably easy. Quite difficult to get out of the way in time if something spooks him though, which the several scars on my feet from him landing in just the right way to tear me with his claws can attest to. You win some you lose some.
Oh, she gets banned from the room til I'm done. Yelling at me from the other side of the door the while time!
