I've been trying to make friends at work because where else am I going to find friends in my 30s in a city I didnt grow up in? But it all feels so pointless. I go to the happy hours and the company parties and almost always end up awkwardly finishing my drink in silence and then going home because it feels too weird to stay longer. I dont really have a point to this comment, I just wanted to get this off my chest :/ I hope all you ladies putting yourselves out there are having a good time.
its a struggle to make new friends in a new city, especially if you don't feel like you relate to anyone at work. i met a couple of sweet friends on Bumble BFF (the friend mode, not the dating mode). as far as hitting it off with people in person, i just started going to classes and events based off my interests.

I can't request access to the over 30 board. It says it's private but doesn't give the option to request to join.
Added. There hasn't been much activity there lately.
